  5. Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee Taking Amrit In 1920 AD the Singh Sabha Movement had a program at Akhaara Nagar, Sant Jee’s birth village. For five days, Keertan, Katha and heavy parchar of Sikhi happened. A lot of Keertanis, Katha Vachikcs, Dhadhi Jathas, and Mahapurakhs came. The Jathedar of Buddha Dal, Baba Sahib Singh along with the Dal came, Baba Harnaam Singh Jee, Sardar Teja Singh, Baba Bhagwan Singh Jee, Giani Hari Singh Jee, Pandit Gurbaksh Singh Jee, Brahm Giani Baba Vaisakha Singh Jee Dadaihar Vale, Sakatar Santa Singh Jee, Pandit Waryam Singh Jee, and lots of other Mahan Gursikhs came. Also the great parcharik of the Panth, Brahmgiani Sant Sundar Singh Jee Bhindranwale came. Listening to the Katha of Sant Sundar Singh JeeSant Sundar Singh Jee did such beautiful katha, that Giani Gurbachan Singh Jee, felt such peace that he had never felt before. His soul was drenched in love for God. That day Sant Sundar Singh Jee had done Katha of the first Salok of Jaitsree Dee Vaar: (705) And afterwords did keertan of this shabad: (679) They did such beautiful katha that: (320) The Holy beings chant the Bani of the Word, like nectar flowing from a spring. At this time Guru Jee did so much kirpa on Giani Gurbachan Singh that automatically vaahiguroo vaahiguroo jaap would start with each and every breath. (861) My mind is pierced through by the arrow of the Lord's Love. Meeting Sant Sundar Singh Jee When the Deevan finished, Giani Gurbachan Singh said Fateh outloud to Sant Sundar Singh Jee, and after this remained quiet. Sant Sundar Singh Jee, sensing the state of Giani Gurbachan Singh Jee said: “ Oh Gurmukh what desires do you have?” O my Love, come and meet me as Gurmukh; I have been separated from You for so long, Lord King. My mind and body are sad; my eyes are wet with the Lord's sublime essence. Giani Gurbachan Singh said please bless me with naam. What Sant Sundar Singh Jee said next is written by Giani Gurbachan Singh in Sri Gurmukh Prakash on page 914: Taking Amrit and becoming a Complete KhalsaThe next day Sant Sundar Singh Jee was in the Panj Pyarai that prepared amirt in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee Maharaj. 500 Singhs took amrit including Giani Gurbachan Singh Jee. Giani Gurbachan Singh made their last name into Khalsa. From that day on obeying the hukam of the Panj Pyarai, he adopted the Khalsa Rehat. Guru Gobind Singh as his father, Mata Sahib Dev Kaur as his mother, his birth was at Sri Kesgarh Sahib and he was a resident of Sri Anandpur Sahib. He got vaahiguroo mantar and mool mantar from the Panj Pyarai: From that day forward, vaahiguroo jaap started and would keep on going until they would breathe their last. Sant Jee felt peace they placed everything, their mind body and wealth in the feet of Guru Jee.
  6. A lot of nice stories being regularly added on this blog about Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee. http://dasandas.blogspot.com/ Swaas Swaas Simran Doing Paat during Katha One time during the fourth katha of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee, Sant Sundar Singh Jee was doing arths of this Pangtee: Let me not forget Him, even for an instant; forgetting Him, I die. ||1|| At this point Giani Gurbachan Singh remained quiet for a while and then read the next line. So Sant Sundar Singh Jee told the sangat, stop thinking why Giani Jee didn't recite the next pangtee in a timely fashion. He said that the reason for the Singh to not read the pangti right away was because he is making the effort to make his avastha higher with each and every shabad, to apply it to his life. Sant Jee had swaas swaas simran (with each and every breath) going on even while doing katha. (305) One who meditates on my Lord, Har, Har, with every breath and every morsel of food - that GurSikh becomes pleasing to the Guru's Mind. (556) With each and every breath, he constantly remembers the Lord in meditation; not a single breath passes in vain.
  7. Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee's Love for Singhs Sant Jee used to have love for everyone, but still when they would see an Amritdharee and Rehat Vala Singh they would get very happy. They treated all the Singhs in the Jatha as their own sons. Every Singh in the Jatha used to think that Sant Jee loves me more than every other Singh in the Jatha that is how much love they had for the Singhs in the Jatha. Because of this love a lot of the Singhs had decided to spend their entire lives with Sant Jee in the Jatha. One time at Bhindra, Giani Mani Singh Jee said to Sant Jee "Sant Jee, you should only allow Singhs that are highly educated to join the Jatha, don't let those join that are not highly educated or who are not educated at all." Hearing this Sant Jee started to laugh and said "Mani Singh Jee, God resides in uneducated people as well." Hearing this Singhs were amazed."When Sant Jee's body was sick, Jathedar Gurdial singh, Sant Ajaib Singh and many Singhs used to come to a village near Jagraon by the name of Malak, to visit them. Jathedar Gurdial Singh Jee said "Sant Jee your body is weak, make the Jatha smaller" but Sant Jee said "who knows, if God wills this Jatha might even get bigger than this. Near Fategarh Sahib a village by the name of Saimplee, Giani Preetam Singh Jee asked Sant Jee for permission to leave the Jatha. Sant Jee said a little angrily: (Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee Ang 932) The Gurmukh comes and goes without fear. Giani jee said that if you are angry then I won't leave. Sant Jee said that when a devoted Singh that reads Bani leaves the Jatha, the pain I feel is similar to the pain I would feel if a body part was cut from my body. Giani Jee says after hearing these words from Sant Jee's mouth, I felt like crying and told Sant Jee that if that is how you feel, then I won't leave. So Giani Jee stayed in the Jatha, and 10 months later Sant Jee called him over and told him that now you can leave and you will leave with my happiness. But never stop doing Katha. And Giani Jee tells that even when he and Giani Mani Singh were leaving, Sant Jee walked for 5 miles with him, to see him off. Giani Jee says that we told Sant Jee many times to go back, but they only went back once they had put us on a car and sent us away. Just like Sri Guru Gobind Singh Jee says: (Sri Dasam Guru Granth Sahib) I am dignified due to them otherwise millions of impoverished persons like me, remain unsupported.
