  2. BusinessLady I am highly suspicious about your line of condescending questions and your flippant replies to me this is more of a person who wants to cause disruption with bigoted views where you dismiss our values/beliefs with throw away comments. Do not waste the time of the Khalsa / Sangat by pretending to be interested when you clearly are up-to-mischief I will monitor you from now on much more closely. GurFateh Jio

  4. Pyare Khalsa Ji - I can't believe the way in which complete contempt and venom is being spat by some anti-sikh elements in this forum that they are not even disguising their hate with false reason or logic. The word KHALISTAN is now so negatively charged as being anti-india that even if you ask a genuine believer they may look around them first or lower their voice when speaking about such ideas. There is no crime for Sikhs to have their own FREEDOM and a land which is their own - we have had Khalsa Raj before you know and we weren't terrorists then? OK here's a little test for you haters go and ask the Punjabi's worldwide if they ever dream of their own homeland and let's call it say DESHPUNJAB how many Sikh's do you think will say NO it will be full of terrorists and corruption very few I think because the word DESHPUNJAB has not been blackened and hijacked by the mischief makers. And here is an open WARNING from me to any new Sikh TV channels that maybe launching soon with an idea of causing disruption to Sikhi and Ekta - "THIS AIN'T INDIA/PAKISTAN" you know where you can buy votes or hush the authorities we do have Ofcom here who will investigate complaints thoroughly and publish their reports on the net. I have lodged two such complaints about a certain "conversion" channel and one of my complaints has been logged and the other one is to be investigated with some very serious allegations made by me - once the result is out I will link it for the forum. ALL SANGAT JI make a note of this link and USE IT against any channel which tries to harm us - http://www.ofcom.org.uk/complain Mere Pritama Jio
  5. The news that more and more Sikhi Parchar is going to take place via Amrit Bani Tv and Sikh Tv on the face of it made my heart swell up with the naam of Waheguru that indeed Sikhi is at last beginning to educate it's lost souls. So I am a bit shocked that in only one day from morning to evening the story has changed so much to reveal a more darker side. The main situation that they will split the Khalsa Panth. I read this forum earlier today found more on the BizAsia website then watched the promo on Sikh Channel stating a special Panth-Time is happening soon to discuss this worrying launch of a second channel? For me Sikhi has always come under attack from many corners of the world since it's birth Mughals, British Raj, Indian Government, Deras inc Christian missionaries our own Sikhs opening their lavish private gurdwaras for political power. But try as they might they can only chip away at a small fringe of people that where not really part of the Sikh panth anyway, if you look at it, all the major religions are having the same problem even Islam which states that it's the fastest growing religion but they don't mention about followers that leave daily or are forced out for being gay etc. Sikhi will never end but become stronger because you only have to look at your own comments here where our faith is solid and resolute that we straight away become protective and defend our religion. Remember there is a massive quiet majority of Gursikhs that think the same as us. These mischief makers and pakhandi leaders will only waste this beautiful life in trying to kill Sikhi but instead making us even better at recognising their stupidity and evil intent. One whose heart is filled with jealousy of others, never comes to any good. No one pays any attention to what he says; he is just a fool, crying out endlessly in the wilderness. (ang 308)

  8. wjkk wjkf Khalsa ji 100% Support your efforts. I must also bring to attention that I have been watching MATV this weeks Ravidass Celebrations. On Wednesday a white male MP (did not get his name) gave a speech and explained his ongoing efforts with other MP's to lobby Parliament and the Census board to recognize the Ravidassia Dharm as a distinct group and to be given a specific status tick box if not this time but in readiness for the 2021 Census. This may weaken the overall Sikh count as some parts of our Khalsa who follow groups or cults are separating themselves from the Panth. Mere Pritama Jio
  9. Gurdwara bricked in Canada Canada: In the early hours of the morning a Sikh Gurdwara had two bricks hurled at the front plate-glass window, of the Guelph Sikh Society's Gurdwara on Stevenson Street in Guelph, late last week. "It's an act of cowardice," society president Amarjit Singh Furmah said The Gurdwara Sahib was unoccupied at the time of the attack, the President said he thinks the vandalism is more than coincidence, given Sikhs have been in the news lately over an application - that's controversial to some residents - to rezone a site on Clair Road, originally slated for a nursing home, to build a new Sikh Gurdwara. The Sikh community currently worships at the Stevenson Street Gurdwara - a converted but cramped former beer store. "We are in the news a good four weeks now," the President said. "Maybe somebody who doesn't like that did the damage here." The President of the Gurdwara said there's been little vandalism since Sikhs obtained the Stevenson Street site in 1996, aside from general graffiti, a pellet or small stone that cracked the same window and some tossed eggs. Priest Mohinder Singh Hans said he noticed nothing out of the ordinary around 8.30pm Thursday when he left the premises. He saw the damage Friday when he returned to the temple after 5am. "It's been reported to police. We have no suspects (at this point)," city police Const Kevin McCord said. But McCord noted it's a busy, mixed-use area, including some industries and residences, so someone may have seen something and can offer helpful information. If so, they are invited to call police at 519-824-1212. Meanwhile, Furmah said there's more to worry about than the cost of replacing the window, which was insured but requires payment of a deductible portion of a claim. Furmah said children are among those who use the temple and he's concerned for their safety, should the vandal or vandals strike again during a Sikh event, such as a worship service. He noted Friday was the start of three days of worship. A brick thrown through a window into the often-busy front foyer "can hurt the people," he said. Other attacks have included: - Two bricks were thrown through a front plate-glass window late last week at the Gurdwara on Stevenson Street in Guelph. - Police are also investigating a possible hate crime after the mosque of the Muslim Society of Waterloo&Wellington Counties was vandalized last week. - A Montreal synagogue was reportedly vandalized last weekend - the second time in a month - with swastikas being scrawled in the bima (podium) and religious objects such as prayer shawls and books being strewn on the ground. - A cover-up by Hindu temple officials in Brampton is being alleged, over improper behaviour by priests. The temple's name is being withheld since the allegations in our Letters column could not be independently verified, but the writer stands by his claims, and laments the two sides of the same coin could be so different. - Metroland News Service

  13. The Sikh Times: http://emgonline.co.uk/news.php?news=9143 The Punjab Assembly today unanimously passed two resolutions, seeking second language status for Punjabi language in states having significant Sikh population and restoring employee’s ratio in Union Territory of Chandigarh. Nine states have been identified Jamu and Kashmir, Himachpardes, Utrakhand, UP, Rajistan, West Bangol, Orrisa, Madhyapardes and Maharashtra. “This is a historic and welcomed move, Punjabi is a language that needs to be preserved especially in educational institutes. The efforts of the Punjab Assembly are to be applauded” said Jaspal Singh Bains of the EMG Online. A week after the Assembly passed a resolution seeking second language status for Punjabi in Chandigarh, the House showing rare unanimity again passed two resolutions concerning Punjabi language and ratio of employees from the state in Chandigarh. Education Minister Upinderjit Kaur moved the resolution seeking second language status for Punjabi language in other states having considerable size of Sikh population. "Punjabi is an identity of Punjab and its people," the Minister said in the Assembly while expressing resentment over the language not getting due prominence in other states despite having large Sikh population A delegation of literary people and politicians Tuesday submitted a memorandum to Punjab Governor Shivraj Patil seeking first language status for Punjabi in this union territory (UT). The delegation, led by state Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, also urged Patil, who is also the Chandigarh administrator, to declare Punjabi as a compulsory subject up to Class 10 in all schools in Chandigarh. 'We have submitted a copy of the resolution that was passed by the Punjab Vidhan Sabha yesterday (Monday). We have demanded to implement Punjabi as the official language in all government offices, boards, corporations and lower courts in Chandigarh,' Punjab Languages and Education Minister Upinderjit Kaur told reporters. She added: 'We have no problem with the medium of schools but we want to declare Punjabi as a compulsory subject in all schools till Class 10.' The Punjab assembly Monday unanimously passed a resolution that Punjabi should be accorded first language status in Chandigarh. The centrally administered city of Chandigarh is the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana. Members of the state Language Advisory Board had also accompanied the delegation of nearly 30 people to Punjab Raj Bhavan, the official residence of the governor. 'We have also demanded setting up of Punjabi Literary Academy in Chandigarh for the enrichment of Punjabi literature and culture. All important sign-boards and nameplates of government offices should be displayed in Punjabi language,' Kaur said. Kaur said the legislators would also urge Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to secure second language status for Punjabi in other states where significant number of Punjabi people live.
  14. A challenge is given by someone who has an ego SO they can not be following the Guru's Hukam - Mere Pritama Jio 'We are great sinners, the sinking stones; be merciful and make us swim across. The poisonous soul (of sins) of ages sticks to us. Lead us on to the Society of the Saints that we are rid of sin just as gold when heated by fire, is rid of its impurities. Let me mediate on You forever and enshrine You in my mind. You are the only cure of my maladies, and it is through You that I'm rid of my ego.' (Dhanasri, M. 4, Chaupadas : Guru Granth Sahib Jee)
