  1. Beside your points, why are you using a female online alias? That's pretty weird man. Do you not have faith in your own logic and reasoning skills that you think becoming a female to appeal to people's emotional sentiment will help your case? Kind of ironic and I think you're probably doing more harm to what your point is than anything.
  2. (I already previously acknowledged that I think it's okay for the bibian to do Nishan Sahib Sewa, but I'm talking about feminism and our community's take on it - what superkaur touched upon): The problem is many apnay bibian and guys (who do it for social cliques and I argue say they're feminists because they're lonely) are getting confused with western feminism replacing Sikhi sidhaant and values which are timeless. The west is seeing a rise in feminism and thus a very strong decline in family values and this is what many people who follow Islamic-like cultures with a structure on how to outbreed the enemy are able to out breed westerners in their own countries (speaking of European countries strictly) with projected demographic changes that will make whites a minority in the future. Feminism and far left ideals are idealistic nonsense that aren't practical for Sikhs - social justice, equality, humanitarian sewa and more are NOT far left liberal ideals. The same left is calling for supporting individuals with gender identity illnesses (transgender folk) and go as far as to say kids who have gender identity illnesses are normal and should be treated as such. This is inhumane because no one is born with a gender - it is our physical nature that defines our gender and supporting kids with this illness as being normal is condoning a lifetime of puberty hormone growth inhibitors, hormone therapy, sexual change surgeries and more. Back to the subject of female feminism - there is no such thing as female inequality. Now, in 2016 women have never seen such freedom in recent history with the exception of our Sikh Ithihaas - we excel any western ideal of this because we have had Sikh generals like Mai Bhag Kaur and Bibi Nanaki who many Sikhs would say helped found Sikhi by doing such a pure ardaas to Vaheguru for Guru Nanak Dev Ji. She was the first Sikh. In the west feminism doesn't hold much scientific and statistical ground - the female pay gap that tumblrinas keep parroting is not an issue because it fails to account for women who prefer not to do as much work as men because they may prioritize family life due to their own choice. That is not to say some women do not forsake family and pursue career success - there are many successful women but on average if you dumb down statistics without context - you have the tumblrina feminazi agenda. After rereading superkaur's post after reading that you called her out for probably being a dude, I now think it may be a dude, but it doesn't change the fact that he's speaking the truth. If it's a bibi then I think we both need to apologize lol.
  3. Should have been handled in a Gurmat manner and explained with prem that Bibian can't be part of Panj Piyare, but I don't see anything against Gurmat for them to carry Nishan Sahibs and lead Khalsa. Sadly feminazi agenda will take this over and some are already attacking the Panj Piyare edit- It seemed like they weren't in Panj Piyare to begin with. Not sure why they were removed then?
  4. I won't be responding to huge text block, but will just say if you look hard enough you'll see Dhunda was challenged and he and committee ran with their tails between their legs. Once they thought that the Khalsa scholars had left then they agreed to a meeting so they could bully less knowledgeable sangat into a corner and make a good PR stunt, but that backfired and scholars showed up to teach him a lesson. Darpok dhunda pajda intellectual juttiya ton
  5. Gupt thaur te chup kite hoye ah kam karna chaida hai Bideo banaun di koi lour ni.
  6. Yeah intermittent fasting works. I'm currently doing that, but heard about it a while back mentioned by the hodgetwins. Meal timing is also really important when you're working out as well. Currently have an injury so I can't lift for another month or so and am just cutting.
  7. JSinghz bro - yes they are. They are trying to change Sikh principles and Gurbani from the inside. An enemy attacking from outside is very recognizable and RSS hasn't done anything to hurt us yet whereas these missionaries are highly dangerous. They're trying to cause 'permanent' divisions in Sikhi - a direct attack on Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib, Guru Maryada and Bani of our Gurus.
  8. I didn't read this thread, but this is true for people who eat within their goal caloric intake range. For powerlifters of that weight they intake a lot of calories (some of them do abuse roids, but I'm sure the hodgetwins are natural). The reason why they can eat starches and white breads is because their metabolism is adapted because they're athletes. They utilize the energy while doing high intensity workouts and overall they still hit their target calorie range. A new person needs to forget about everything and simply track their weight in a notebook while logging exactly how much they're eating with calories. May take time to read other pages of this topic, but seems to have diverted a lot lol
  9. What's the point of cutting your hair if you don't disagree with Sikhi? Most people who cut their hair lose out on worldly and spiritual affairs. Those who are confident and have their Sikhi saroop and rehit in tact are more confident and are able to live life very well. There is a deeper seated problem with your own personality that you need to address because you will never find any peace if you think cutting your hair will make it fine.
  10. No one here condones drug use bro. Being open minded and remaining steadfast in your own views aren't mutually exclusive.
  11. Find new Gurdwaras and make public announcements with Sikh media orgs about specific Gurdwaras. You should request to be interviewed and highlight the places this happens at. Best of luck
  12. Everything is a conspiracy, right? Also, after looking at the time the OP posted, what if the world doesn't revolve around you and he is actually from another time zone? Anyways, on topic, when I went to Punjab i saw a Nihang Singh in Bathinda with a katar. Mama ji and I stopped him and we talked and he was happy that there are Sikhs abroad so he invited us to his house. He offered us some ragra but my mama ji and I declined, I had no idea what was offered until my mama ji told me outside haha. They actually do it, but I think most do it as a nasha now instead of medicinal purposes. If you hear stories in pinds of our grand and great grandparents - you'll hear there were desi medicine makers who made dwaiyaan out of plants similarly to how a lot of medicine is made here in the west (but not nearly as advanced obviously). I worked in the ER for a small time last year and I asked one of the doctors about those who prescribe marijuana to patients and whether or not he thought it was a legitimate medicine, but his reply is that no 'real' doctor actually prescribes marijuana. With that said there are a lot of research that changes very fast in the medical field so just one doctor isn't enough of a source - especially when the question was asked in a casual manner. Interesting katha
  13. Look at the manner he speaks. He takes money from the monay konay committee members and disrespects Sikhs who actually ask legitimate questions.
  14. Our perspective on anything will always be limited due to our human constraints. Think of a forest - as a collective whole it is like an organism and a living being. If you look bios and ecosystems, particularly most sensitive ones, it's impossible to separate any form of life from the whole without detrimentally effecting the entire system. You can go out in perspective and think of the planet as an organism and even further or you can look further in at a simple plant and how it supports life in a ripple effect. All life is precious and our perspective and ego will always define what we see as life. Although the title is a bit sensationalist, but it just goes to show that plants are very much living: To me, just because a living organism is sentient, in the bigger picture, I don't give it precedent over a non sentient being. For life to exist all life is precious and limiting yourself to becoming complacent in one mindset is very dangerous in the long run. Think of the US Fish and Wildlife government agency and how they monitor population levels of game. Prior to scientists tracking populations there were dwindling populations of game, but the flip side was when they were allowed to flourish (unwatched) then they would destroy the natural greenery which would in effect butterfly effect into the entire ecosystem killing off a lot of life. The second someone starts to act like they know what they're talking about - i will never take them seriously. Whether they're a vegan or a big mac eater. This discussion requires it to be looked at a place from humility and a pinch of self-admitted ignorance.
  15. I always wanted one, but never managed to get one and just gave up
