Could the same situation re-occur? Possibly, but in another slightly twisted manner. Commenting on this phenomenon , the famous British historian Max Arthur Macauliffe, concluded that Hinduism was like "the boa constrictor of the Indian forests" and when "petty enemy appears to worry it, it winds round its opponent, crushes it in its folds, and finally causes it to disappear in its capacious interior....Hinduism has embraced Sikhism in its folds; the still comparatively young religion is making a vigorous struggle for life, but its ultimate destruction is, it is apprehended, inevitable without State support." The clever Brahmins in the form of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Vishva Hindu Parishad and other right-wing Hindu lobbies have since discovered that if they cannot successfully install of Hindu deities inside Sikh Gurdwaras, they would instead build their own "Sikh Gurdwaras" inside Hindu complexes. This is in line with their belief that they recognize Sikhs as part of the greater Hindu pantheon. Mock up of Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar Recently, a Sikh organization, Young Sikh Leaders (YSL), filed a complaint to Sri Akal Takht Sahib regarding a mock-up replica that was created of Sri Darbar Sahib Harmandir Sahib in the central Indian city of Nashik (Nasik) in which large Hindu statutes of Ganesh (Ganpati) were installed at a makeshift "parkarma" and parkash of the Sacred Saroop of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji has been done inside the "Darbar Sahib", complete with Sikh Ragis and Granthis performing keertan "seva" as in the real Harmandir Sahib. http://www.youtube.c...player_embedded The idea of this entire arrangement is to mock and mimic the look and feel of Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar under the control of idol worshipping Brahmins. This is not the first time either. One wonders why the sacred Sri Darbar Sahib of the Sikhs is always made the target by these people. There are never reports of anyone setting up mock ups of Mecca or Medina, or of the Vatican. According to YSL, this has been going on for the last four to five years, and the local Sikh community has turned a blind eye to all this and does not seem to be bothered with the ongoing beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and violation of the Sikh code of conduct which specifically forbids the performing of non-Sikh rituals and the installation of idols. Similar Beadbi Cases on the Rise Similar cases of intentionally intermixing of Sikh and Hindu rituals and traditions are occurring all over India and abroad, including the now infamous Nij Thao Mandir of Lachman Chela Ram. Recently it was discovered that around two thousand five hundred (2,500) Sacred Saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib were found torn-up, and soaking in filthy sewerage water at a warehouse owned by Lachman Chela Ram. Not too long ago, similar a mock of Sri Darbar Sahib was also created at Park Circus in Calcutta. Hindu idols were installed inside this complex also. A model of Sri Darbar Sahib Replica at Park Circus Calcutta, complete with Hindu idols Sri Akal Takht Sahib and the local Sikh community need to be more vigilant about these ongoing sacrileges and stern action against the perpetrators. Otherwise to allow the continuation of such practices will further infuse into Sikhism the very Brahmin practices our Guru Sahibans condemned – and scholars like Macauliffe's forewarned over one hundred years ago. 2. BHAI JAGTAR SINGH JI OF TAPOBAN SAHIB LEAVES FOR HEAVENLY ABODE (EDITORIAL) PANTHIC.ORG TORONTO, CANADA - Bhai Jagtar Singh Ji of Gurdwara Tapoban Singh, Toronto, passed away on September 7th, 2010 in the highest of spirits and completed his spiritual and physical journey on Earth. Bhai Sahib was a well respected Gursikh who was instrumental in organizing the Institute of Gurmat Studies, Gurdwara Tapoban Sahib, where daily Amritvela, Nitem, Akhand Kirtan, and Gurbani Santhyia, and the traditional Tat-Gurmat lifestyle is promoted across the congregation. He firmly insisted that Gurmat should never be compromised, and stressed the importance of staying true to one's bachan (word), and keeping steadfast on Panthic principles. Bhai Sahib believed that modern Sikh leaders, parchariks, and kirtanees themselves do not uphold the ideals of the Khalsa, so how could they influence others to do the same? He believed the Chardi-Kala of the Panth would automatically come through the practice of Tat-Gurmat, and not watered down rehats. Unlike others, Bhai Sahib did not preach, but practiced and lived the life of a true GurSikh. He took Khanday-ki-Pahul over thirty years ago, in 1976, and until the last breath kept his Khalsa Banna, strict Amritvela, Sarbloh bibek, intact. Such was the iron disciple of this Gurmukh. Bhai Sahib spent a majority of his time engrossed in Naam Abhyaas and Gurbani recitation. Guru Gobind Singh Ji describes the characteristic of such a Gurmukh in his Bani: Only in whose heart shines the full Divinely Radiant Light is a true Pure Khalsa. (Further glimpses about this rare GurSikh's life will be shared in the coming days, along with details of his Antim Sanskaar)
  3. SIKH ORGANIZATIONS QUESTION WISDOM OF IQBAL SINGH'S DECREE, APPEAL FOR UNITY, RESPONSIBILITY PANTHIC.ORG | Published on September 6, 2010 TORONTO, CANADA (KP) - Panthic organizations and Gurdwara Sahibs across North America sharply condemned the August 19th, 2010 divisive decree related to Ragmala by Jathedar Iqbal Singh of Takht Sri Panta Sahib, stating its intent was not in the spirit of Panthic unity. The joint appeal representing the concerns of a coalition of thirty (30) plus Gurdwara Sahibs and Sikh organizations requested the current Sikh leaders to refrain from issuing any reckless media statements that would create further divisions in the Sikh Panth. Instead, the Sikh organizations appealed, the Sikh nation should unify efforts to achieve the Sikh Nation's common goal ordained in the proclamation "Raj Karega Khalsa", and also stay vigilant to foil the nefarious designs of the Sikh Panth's enemies. The statement further requested that at this critical time, instead of creating divisions, Panthic organizations should take lead responsibility to counter the onslaught of drugs and heresy that is spreading at an epidemic level in our next generation. The Sikh organizations named in the press statement included: Ontario Gurdwaras Committee (a group of 16 Gurdwaras located across Ontario) Canada, Akhand Kirtani Jatha Toronto (Tapoban), Damdami Taksal Toronto (Canada), Damdami Taksal Edmonton (Canada), Akhand Kirtani Jatha Edmonton (Canada) , Akhand Kirtani Jatha California (USA), Sri Guru Singh Sabha Malton (Canada), Sri Guru Nanak Sikh Center Reagan Road (Canada), Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Surrey-Delta (Canada), Khalsa Alliance (USA), Canadian Association of Sikh Students, Panthic Network (USA), Mata Bhag Kaur Dal Toronto (Canada), Institute of Gurmat Studies (Canada), Kaur United (Canada), Baba Deep Singh Gatka Akharra (Canada), Gurdwara Sikh Sangat Brampton (Canada), Gurdwara Tapoban Sahib (Canada), Gurdwara Jot Parkash Sahib (Canada), Sikh Spiritual Center Toronto (Canada), Sewa Charitable Missionary Society (Canada), Sri Guru Nanak Sikh Center (Canada), Sri Hargobind Sahib Gatka Akharra Toronto (Canada), Shaheed Bhai Taru Singh Sewa Society Alberta (Canada), Shaheed Bhai Fauja Singh Gatka Akharra Edmonton (Canada), Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Canada), Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar La Salle Montreal (Canada), Shahbaaz Khalsa (Canada) and GURSIKH Organization (Canada). Earlier Condemnation by S. Simranjit Singh Mann, and Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu, and others Previously, S. Simranjit Singh Mann, of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) , Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu of Shiromani Akali Dal (Panch Pardhani), and various units of Akhand Kirtani Jatha across India, and Europe had also condemned Iqbal Singh's remarks on Ragmala, cautioning that this was not the proper time to debate such divisive issues, nor does any individual entity or organization have the authority to challenge or tamper with the Sikh Rehat Maryada that was ratified in 1936 and 1945 through Panthic concensus. 4. (੧੦੮੩) There is a great difference between kirtam naam (Allah, Ram, Khudaa) and Sat Naam (ie: "WaheGuru"). During Amrit Sinchar Sikhs are given "WaheGuru" mantar which is Akal Purakh Sahib's SatNaam, we are NOT given any kirtam naam at that time. The Hukam for Sikhs is to jap SatNaam (ie: "WaheGuru") as their Gurmantar. The above verse states that only SatNaam is Akal Purakh Sahib's PRIMAL and ORIGINAL NAAM - the same one the Panj Piyaray give to the Sikhs in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
  5. They who joined hands with the Kala-Afghanis in this protest are part of the same jundli that has supported and promoted Ragi Darshan in the past. They have branches in the East Coast and Southern California and continually misuse the Jatha's name. One of them runs the KhalsaSpirit.com website that promotes Anti-Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Ant-Sri Dasam Granth thought. 6. PANTHIC.ORG | Published on August 20, 2010 A Barber at Mimsa Dera waits for the Nihang to beat a Nagara, before cutting the Kes of a Sikh Child View Full Photo Gallery of Mimsa Ritual MIMSA, SANGRUR- Every twelve years a bizarre ritual is replayed at the dera of Sadh Mohkam Singh Randhawa Samperda in the village of Mimsa, District Sangrur in which Amritdharis and Kesadhari Sikhs make a mockery of one of the most sacred symbols of the Sikhs - the Kes. In this ceremony, the sacred Kes of young children are dishonored in a shocking public ceremony reeking of pagan and Hindu ritualism. The atmosphere during this odious "festival" is not unlike a typical Punjab village fair (mela), in which hundreds of residents from the adjoining villages and towns arrive on foot, tractor, car and bus. The gathering at the festive dera of the Randhawa Samperda is to mark the ceremonial rite of passage for thier youngsters into the "Randhawa" clan. The participants include the young and the old, city folks and villagers with flowing beards, blue dastars, gatras and Kirpans. No one would suspect this could be the venue of such a sacrilegious act that is played out every decade or so in the heart of Punjab. http://www.youtube.c...player_embedded In the center of the gathering arena, marked by tent like structures, several clay cooking pitchers are heated under the fire of dried cow dung. The heated pitchers are used to prepare rotis and other food made on site by the local women. Attendees also bring offerings of various kinds to the dera to mark this occasion. A Nihang Singh is then asked to began beating a Nigara (kettle drum) signaling the start of the ritual. The locals then began to gather around the young children on whom this rite is to be performed. The prepared rotis and hats are then placed on top of some of these young Sikh children, and a barber using scissors then begins to cut the unshorn hair (kes) from the Sikh children's heads. The cut Kes are then ceremoniously discarded into cow dung fire along with the rotis and other ritualistic food offerings. The Nagara beat continues, and so does the crowd's excitement. One after another, this rite is repeated on the rest of the selected Sikh children. According to these villagers, upon completion of this ceremony, the children are then regarded to have been initiated into the "Randhawa" clan. Ironically, these individuals who consider themselves as Sikhs don't see any issue with these sacrilegious ceremony and their faith. Removing the sacred Kes is regarded as a cardinal offense in the Sikh code of conduct. This ceremony was performed on June 22nd of 2010, and will be repeated in another twelve years. A local family, who participated in this ritual, was disgusted to witness the above event and has turned over their photographic and video evidence to Panthic.org for publication so the Sikh community at large can be made aware of this blind ritual being performed under the guise of Sikhi. The family is now facing threats from the dera and its supporters for bringing this issue in the public. Bhai Bhagwan Singh a Khojee, a katha-vachak from the Damdami Taksal, who also witnessed this bizarre ritual, sent the following details of his account:
  7. GPS Jio, as you stated let's not turn this into a Ragmala issue. But with all due respect Bhai Sahib, why rake up the issue again with statements on the 1708 saroop? If Ragamala isn't the topic of this thread, why bring it up in this manner at all? Let me just state if there is an AUTHENTIC Damdami Shaakh-day-Saroop from 1708 of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji then let Sri Akal Tahkht Sahib know about it. Think about this. Why would Bhai Joginder Singh Talwara and Vendati Ji spend 30 years doing research for the SGPC on standardizing the lagaan-matraa for the current editions of the printed saroops, if there was an authentic saroop available from that time. There are a lot of claims that such and such saroops are present at this Takht Sahib and that Takht Sahib written by Baba Deep Singh Ji or Bhai Mani Singh Ji. If that was the case then standardizing a new printed saroop should be no problem at all - since all you would have to do is verify the lagaan-matraa with one of those saroops. These issues are not that simple, neither is the issue on Ragmala. If Gurmukhs like Bhai Veer Singh Ji, Bhai Randhir Singh Ji, Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji, and Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha could not resolve this issue, we certainly are not going to either, especially through posts and threads on social internet forums.
  8. SENIOR EDITOR OF PANTHIC.ORG SIKH NEWS SITE ATTACKED PANTHIC.ORG | Published on July 15, 2010 (ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਪੜ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ) INDORE, MADYA PARDES - Residents of Indore were shocked to hear that a prominent local Sikh sewadar, Bhai Ratinder Singh was viciously attacked around midnight by a kukhri wielding RSS hoodlum in a direct attempt to silence his opposition to anti-Panthic elements. Bhai Ratinder Singh, who is physically and visually impaired, is serving as the senior editor of Panthic.org, and mukh sevadar of GURISKH/Shahbaaz Khalsa organization. Bhai Sahib's physical condition is attributed to the years of neglect and mis-treatment he had to endure during his incarceration in India's prison system during the turmoil in Punjab in the 1990's. According to family members, a kukri (a Nepalese curved machete) wielding local RSS ruffian Tarwinder who also goes by the alias "Satta" attacked Bhai Ratinder Singh's house around 11:30pm by first breaking down his door and them making an attempt on Bhai Sahib's life. Bhai Sahib suffered cuts from Satta's sharp weapon on his shoulders, arms, and legs, but fended of the attack despite his weak health and failing eyesight. The assaulter soon fled the scene on foot. Attempts were made by the family to call the police, but the authorities did not respond in time. Bhai Sahib was given medical treatment overnight for his injuries at a local hospital and released back to his family for rest and recuperation. Interestingly, due to pressure from local BJP members and the RSS, the police was initially hesitant to file a complaint (FIR) or take actions against the perpetrator. Realizing the inaction of the authorities, sewadars of Shahbaaz Khalsa then began to gather at the Malhar Ganj police station and also took the injured Bhai Ratinder Singh personally there before the officials filed any paperwork documenting the assault. Satta, who has long history of criminal offenses, was now reportedly being held in Police custody until further investigation.

  11. Exactly. Dr. Harbahjan Singh concludes : Rai in the tale is Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji. Sirdar Kapur Singh and other scholars conclude: Rai in the tale is NOT Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji, but just an arbitrary person from make believe town of Pur Anand, for the sake of example only.
  12. My apologies, please try this link: http://www.dushtdaman.org/article/103
  13. I am not going to debate what Dr. Harbhajan Singh has stated in this article, but will make it a point that many Panthic Scholars do not agree with his interpretation of Anup Koer's kissa in Sri Charitropakhyian. This is due to the traditionally agreed premise that these are tales being told by a mantree to a king. Interestingly, the very charge made against Darshan Ragi was that he too linked Guru Gobind Singh Ji to this kissa, then is not Dr. Harbhajan Singh doing the same? Readers might want to read Sirdar Kapur Singh Ji's "ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰਉਪਾਖਯਾਨ : ਕਿੱਸਾ ਰੂਪ ਕੌਰ ਦਾ" on DushtDaman.org (http://www.dushtdaman.org/article/103) to understand why many Sikh scholars do not agree with Dr. Harbhajan Singh's interpretation. Aside from the above controversy, Dr. Harbhajan Singh has done a wonderful job in his recent book in analyzing various sections of Sri Dasam Granth. Again, I am NOT interested in arguing about any of this on this forum, I just wanted to point out that not everyone agrees with Dr. Harbhajan Singh on this issue. Those who agree with him will continue to do so, and vice-versa. Readers can make their own judgment about this.
  14. The link you provided "GurmatBibek", is not a Tapoban Sahib site, and the views posted on GurmatBibek are personal opinions of Bh. Kulbir Singh, and not the official opinion of Tapoban Singhs.
  15. N30S1NGH, Your comments do not really deserve a reply. It is easy to bad mouth the Singh Sabha Lehar now, but don't forget Gursikhs such as Baba Attar Singh Mastuana, Giani Dit Singh, Baba Sundar Singh Bhinderan, Bhai Vir Singh, Bhai Randhir Singh, Akali Kaur Singh were all part of this Lehar and the Gurdwara Sudhar Lehar. Without them, there would have been murtis and shivlings across all Gurdwaras in India, as there were at Sri Dabar Sahib during the turn of the last century. Think about this next time you mock this great Lehar.
  16. I think most of you guys need to calm down. I asked a simple question, and not a single one of you has answered it. All I am asking is that can you give me any Panthic reference outside of Nirmala or Udaasee references that authenticate this bani. How difficult is that to comprehend? Nirmalas and Udaasees recognize many scriptures and follow practices that the rest of the Panth does not. If you are going to promote "Gobind Gita" in the rest of the Panth, then provide references that authenticate this bani. It is simple as that. This is not about Singh Sabha vs. Nirmalas or Udasees. This is about the authenticity of a bani. If this is the type of reaction given to a question on this forum - then I truly feel sorry for the rest of the visitors who ask such a question in the future.
  17. Can someone provide any Panthic references (non Nirmala or Udaasee) that authenticate this scripture? None of the above links provide information on this or the background of this pothi. Do you consider this Gurbani?
  18. Harinder Singh, No one is saying Guru Nanak Dev Ji NOT the The Swaiyas of the Bhatts state in Guru Granth Sahib Ji: There is no doubt that Guru Nanak Dev Ji is the ਅਟਲ ਗੁਰੂ. For a Sikh to observe the claim certain days connected to Hindu deities as "auspicious" is directly in contrast to Gurmat principles and Sikh Rahit Maryda. It is very troubling to see Hindu symbolism and ideology re-surfacing again on Sikh forums such as this. Those who are mis-using the recent wave of interest in Sri Dasam Bani to inject Brahmin-Sanatan ideology need to watched with vigilance.
  19. Bhai Sahib Ji, It is my request that we not paint everyone from the Singh Sabha Lehar with the same brush. Singh Sabha Amritsar, was controlled by rich aristocrats who along with Thakur Singh Sadhawalia have selfish reasons to bring Daleep Singh back. Those reasons had nothing to do with Gurmat. Near the end Ranjit Singh's Raj had nothing to do with Gurmat. That is why the Dogras and Poorbias were doing so much damage. If Singh Sabha Amritsar were in line with Gurmat, they would never allow Khem Singh Bedi to sit parallel to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji on a pedestal, and openly promote the caste system. We can disagree with the political views of Gurmukh Singh, and the obnoxious follies of Khem Singh Bedi, but do not denounce the movement that single handedly brought about the revival of Gurmat back into Sikhism from the dark days after the fall of the Sikh Raj. Here is an image of Duleep Singh during that time, what kind of Gurmat would he have spread? What ever Gurmat was spread it was done by the Singh Sabha Lehar, to deny that is denying our own history. Today, Kala-Afghanis and Sant-Smajis proclaim that the Singh Sabha Lehar was anti-Sri Dasam Granth. This is not true, Giani Dit Singh was one of the strongest proponents of Sri Dasam Bani at that time. The newspapers and pamphlets run by the penniless Giani Dit Singh (more than 100 years ago) have done more in promoting the real message of Sri Dasam Bani than the millionaire Sant-Samajis have done for the past 30 years.
  20. Question : If there were millions of Rama created by Akal Purakh Sahib, how many Dusehraas are we to observe in a year? Answer: Every day for a Sikh is Dusehraa, or a Christmas. These days hold no special meaning for the KHALSA. The KHALSA worships the IMMORTAL AKAL PURAKH, not mortals like Ram, Krishan and Mahesh.
  21. sikhreality Ji, That's exactly the point. They were avtaars of PREVIOUS Yugs, they are NOT avtaars NOW. ONLY Guru Nanak-Guru-Gobind Singh Ji is the Puran Avtaar of our current yug- Kal-Yug. Avtaars of previous Yugs have not part to play in this yug or in Sikhism. They are part of His Creation, just like the millions and billions and trillions of other creatures He created. Just as the rest of His creation gets destroyed so do they. Gurbani references them as examples only of good and bad. He who created myriads of Indra Kings. He created many Brahmas and Vishnus after consideration. He made many Ramas, Krishnas and Prophets (Mohammeds). But none is accepted (in His Court) without devotion.(8)(38) He created numerous oceans, Bindhiachal hills and highest Himalayas mountains. He made numerous Fish and Tortoise Incarnations (of Vishnu) and many Sheshnags (snake lords). He created numerous deities and Sanak, Sanandan etc. (sons of Brahma). He made numerous Krishnas and many Incarnations of Vishnu.(9)(39) Many Indras (Lords of deities) sweep at His, door. Many are Vedas and Brahmas having four faces Many are Shivas with trivial appearance. And there are many Ramas and Krishnas with incomparable complexion.(10)( 40)
  22. sikhreality, What does it matter who Inderjit Singh's ustad was, or what lineage you are trying to create here? No one is calling nderjit Singh a neo-Nihang. But let's not forget that many neo-Nihangs believe Guru Gobind Singh Ji worshiped or sought assistance from the Hindu goddess Durga. If Inderjit Singh does not subscribe to this ideology - then that is most welcome. BUT, if he does, it doesn't matter, who his ustaad was. Gurmat is Gurmat. Gurmat does not change because such and such person was your ustaad.
  23. Bhai Sahib Ji, Every organization has weak points, they are never perfect - look at the state of current Panthic organizations. We should not be too eager and group everyone together during them Singh Sabha movement as "British toadies" just because they did not approve of Raja Dalip Singh's return. Just as today if we don't advertise ourselves as "Khalistani" does not mean we are 'Indian toadies'. It needs to be noted when Thakur Singh Sandhawalia (who tried to organize Dalip Singh's return) was heading the Singh Sabha, Giani Dit Singh was second in command. The real British toadies were the aristocrats and Sanatists like Khem Singh Bedi who headed Singh Sabha Amritsar. Giani Ditt Singh was considered a low-caste Sikh, and was not even allowed to take parshad at many Gurdwaras. For him and Singh Sabha Lahore there were more serious issues in the Panth than worrying about re-establishing "Sikh Monarchy" which itself was not Gurmat based. He obviously did not share the same dream of Dalip Singh's return that Sandhawalia did. Sandhawalia was also from an aristocrat family, and his vision of the return of "Sikh Monarchy" was not practical. Giani Ditt Singh, Prof. Gurmukh Singh, Kahn Singh Nabha, Bhai Vir Singh and others spent time doing real Gurmat parchar and revitalized the Singh Sabha. To call them British toadies, is far from the truth. In reality, the real British toadies were the aristocrats and Satanists. After the fall of the Sikh Raj, Chardi Kala Gurmukhs like Baba Karam Singh Hotimardan, Baba Maghar Singh, Baba Attar Singh Mastuana served in the Biritsh Army - but they are never referred to as British toadies. Such was the time and circumstance.
  24. sikhreality ji, I have heard Baba Inderjit Singh's katha on Bhagauti Astotr. Besides the initial explanation of 'ਸ੍ਰੀ ਭਗਉਤੀ ਜੀ ਸਹਾਇi', everything he spoke about was according to Gurmat. He interpreted 'ਸ੍ਰੀ ਭਗਉਤੀ ਜੀ ਸਹਾਇi' stating that 'ਸ੍ਰੀ ਭਗਉਤੀ' even protects Akal Purakh Sahib. With all due respect, I will have to disagree with Bhai Sahib's interpretation. WaheGuru Ji is unfathomable and much Greater than His Shakti - He does NOT need protection from anything, nor does have have enemies or equals. Why would Sri Dasam Patshah say that Bhagauti protects WaheGuru Ji, when he knows WaheGuru Ji is the source of Bhagauti. Rather, Sri Dasam Patshah's Banis is stating that may 'ਸ੍ਰੀ ਭਗਉਤੀ', the Power of WaheGuru protect us. Also, I failed to find any audio interpretations about the following statements on the blog: sikhreality ji, can you provide more clarification on why a female Devi gave her dagger to Guru Gobind Singh Ji? We have already discussed that Giani Gian Singh admitted mistakes were made by him and other historians in the past about "devi" being pargat before the Amrit Sanchaar, and he clarifies his stance in the 3rd edition of "Twareekh Khalsa." Are you stating that you stand by the notion that some devi did appear before SatGuru Ji before Vaisakhi 1699? sikhreality ji, you have also said you are just presenting views of old manuscripts, but you seem have plenty of opinions about TRUE Panthic scholars like Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha, Giani Ditt Singh, Bhai Vir Singh Ji, and Bhai Randhir Singh Ji, you have referred to them "neo-scholars." You also seem to hold a grudge against them for their nonparallel role in the Singh-Sabha and Gurdwara Reform Movement. Why do we need to be close to Hindus? Have you forgotten the state of the Sikhs after the fall of Raja Ranjit Singh's Raj? When Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha wrote "Ham Hindu Nahi" and Giani Dit Singh wrote "Durga Parbodh", Hindu murtis has been installed at Sri Darbar Sahib, and most Sikhs were calling themselves Hindus, and worshiping devi, devtas, and getting according to Hindu rites. So-called low caste Sikhs were not allowed to enter many Gurdwara Sahibs. Who woke up the Sikh Nation at this time? The Nihangs? The Nirmalas? The Udasees? NO. Sadly most of them were also following the above manmats. This is a historic fact and it can be verified. It was the Singh Sabha and the Gurdwara Sudhar Lehar that cleaned up the mess. The above Gurmukhs whom you are referring to as "neo-scholars" played a HUGH role in revitalizing the Khalsa spirit during those dark times. Why is the obsession of being close to Hindus? According to Gurmat they are blind, and see no role of Akal Purakh in anything. All they see are their deities. (Baba NaamDev Ji) Dasam Patshah goes even further and points at the corruption of these faiths in What is wrong with showing our distinction from the above corruption? That was the whole idea behind the Singh Sabha Lehar.
  25. GPS Ji, There are a lot of people out there blindly following neo-Nihang propaganda that Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji was a devi upashak, as indicated on Jvala Singh's blog. Jvala Singh stated in the thread Beautiful Old Manscript Of Dasam Granth, that all puratan Granths indicate this. I highly doubt Jvala Singh has read the works of the scholars mentioned in my previous post including Bhai Vir Singh Ji's "Devi Pujan Parrtal" in which he references Rattan Singh Bhangu, Giani Gian Singh Ji and others on this very matter. Bhai Vir Singh Ji's states that in third edition of "Twareek Khalsa", Giani Gian Singh Ji admits that he and other writers of the past have made mistakes, and that he himself is mending his mistakes by correcting his past errors. Sikhs do not blindly follow any Gianis or historic Granths that do not pass the litmus test of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Sri Dasam Patshah's Ji's Bani. The only Bhagauti that appeared in front of the havan by Kesho Pandit Das was Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji's Kirpan. The Sri Sahib is the symbol of Akal Purakh Sahib Ji's Naam-Roopee-Gyan-Kharag-Khandaa. Devis and devtas have no part to play in the creation or protection of Khalsa Panth. Neo-Nihangs are treading a dangerous line by spreading this type of propaganda. There are a few of them around in Budha Dal who hold such beliefs.
