I have just checked the site again, and it has indeed been changed now.

I think the manner in which they have written what is to happen deliberately seeks to invoke a sense of victory for any would-be contributors. The opening intro on the home page with "A rare opportunity to transform a Gurdwara (Sikh Temple) into a Masjid" is wholly unneccesarry, and would add nothing but the above described sense of supremacy to prospective funders. Similarly, the way the words Gurdwara into masjid remain on the picture at the end FEELS symbolic of a wider desire to transform ( well to me anyways- BUT hey, I'm paranoid lol).

The family have indeed been contacted on this occasion, and for information purposes, the first step taken is ALWAYS to contact families, and try to expalin the situation to them in order to persuade them to change the venue.

I agree- this is what I made of it too, but wanted some other opinions. I think this is where the "call me the lord" is significant, as one who would like to be called the Lord would likely be under the influence of ego, and thus could not be at the state Guru Ji was ( ie one with the Lord). This would of course be because where an individual considers themselves as a seperate entity, they automaticall split themselves from God with ego, it is this ego that says 'I AM,' whereas one who is one with God could surely only say 'God is' ..ummm... yep- I'm not making sense again, so i better stop
