i have seen alot of interracial marriages espicially with sikhs girls with muslims etc and they dont last long at and have alot of conflicts....i think we got a real problem with ours gals marrying to ppl outside sikhi, it hurts i dont know why...dont know if this is true (can someone plz shed some light on this) a elder once said to me if a sikh gal follows sikhi her next three (or however many) generations to come will follow sikhi aswell? is this true or partly true?

paji that aint necessarily true, drop-outs might not get jobs for example and then go into underground stuff like hits, transporters, drugs, illegal trafficing for easy means but dangerous way of survial. however i do believe the higher the intellect of the person the less they are likely to comit a crime cos they know the implications but this can work another way, where if ur really smart u can out smart da mameh (feds) n law and make big moneys, i rekon it depends morally on the person u get me. :doh:

"posh jatti" - "a chance to do seva not only in the building but in the whole commuunity "ral ke", i can actualy see a future for them but as for us" i think that all those sects or religions u mentioned only cater for thier own needs and community, i can understand wat ur saying that seva should not only be done inside a gurudwara but outside, well gurudwaras are open to everyone and sotherefore serve the whole community. its only us who limit where seva can be done, seva can be cleaning the langar hall inside a gurudwara or helping a elderly lady carry her shopping to her bat-mobile (car). if u ever loook around the world sikhs a known for thier seva for helping n serving others who need it, remember gurudwaras are not wat they were, they where hospitals, help-centres, etc all under one roof and most importantly gods house so us sikhs invented things like the nhs :doh: ....red cross was started by a european guy who actually read the story of bhai kanaya ji & guru gobind singh jee and was soo inspired he started the red cross. sorry if i have mis-interpreted u.

tru say...u have to do it ur selfs its too long too explain...back in the day slough singh sabha was run so well it was said to be the hyde park of gurudwaras it was a massive base for the sikh youth with gurbani class's etc being held nearly everyday in addition to this the gym etc...this was around the late 90's where shere punjab started up in slough due to the problems..nows it 2005 and its happening all again trouble seems to have gone out of hand...sikh school needs funds but singh sabha due to comitee aint giving a penny towards it even though got 700,000 in the bank and 3 properties worth 100,000-300,000 EACH where is the money going then they wonder why the youth dont come to the gurudwara and wen the do they do puteh kaam. u have to make a effort ur self cos these 60+ babeh most of them just good for sitting down and nicking all the money they dont give a monkeys wat happens to the youth....all i can say is this generation coming through as the set the standards...and unite for a change

paji awkward issue, i think they dont let ppl wear kareh during p.e etc in case they hurt someone like if u playing tennis and u swing back and ur kara hits next matey in the mouth oucccccccch...now i have had teeth knocked out and its pretty pain-ful. but for amrit dahris they should be able to wear kareh during p.e if ur skool dont agree trying explaining to them via a letter and talk to ur head or govenors if they dont agree then take it up with a well established sikh organisation like sikhi fed.> www.sikhfederation.com hope this helps.

i agree with sher punjabi and i have to agree with u bro "son of dasam paatshai" even wen i come from gurudwara at late night cos i been doing seva parents like early ajjehya kaar etc im wat im not in a club getting mashed. also the "son of dasam paatshai" u mention wen someone doing something wrong e.g racist my mum n (dad sometimes) like leave it etc happened espicially once wen a non-sikh walked into our gurudwara and started saying offencefull stuff and threating a baba evryone stood but i didnt wat happned after that well...lets just say he ended up being .... somtimes my mum encourages me etc to do seva but sometime they reluctant. true say sher punjabi even my uncle said to me even though i have kesh and trim my beard that u going to find it hard to get married i was like wat on earth me having kesh got to do with who i marry, he like nai nai koriyan clean shave mundeh like karda i was like wateva eva since then i dont really talk to him i wanted to give him a good beating but he my elder plus i wanted to say wat was on my mind but as it might of been true and hurt him i didnt. everytime i see him i feel hurt inside u get me.

okay "smartsingh24" then where does that leave a person who it amrit dahri but doesnt serve the panth in any way..etc basically doesnt follow the rehit but is still on the outside amrit dahri , then where does that leave a singh lets say with a trimmed beard etc who serves the panth n is trying to work the way up to becoming guru da sikh (amrit dahri) and part of the Khalsa Panth?
