Cant people just give it a rest now everyone has expressed their anger expressing more wont bring the guy back from the dead nor will it do anything for his poor family. Just wait until then! i also feel sorry for that girls parents because they werent expecting their girl to grow up to be a murderer. they are too suffering in silence. I feel sorry for that singh's parents im sure they didnt want to raise their son to be a killer and also that white boys parents too.... people need to show some respect for all of the innocent parties involved the dead and the living in my opinion.....i just wished the whole panth gets this upset and there were round the clock tv shows when Maharaj's saroops got burned.

So if a roundabout has 4 exits and 4 lane approaches i wud do the following: exit 1 = lane 1 exit 2 = lane 2 exit 3 = lane 3 exit 4 = lane 4. is this correct?

Dear Sangat, I havent had much opportunity to drive and i get quite nervous when approaching multi lane roundabouts. Would the sangat be kind enough to give me advice based on their experience(s). Would someone kindly explain to me the approach and procedure ie. when taking exits 1, 2, 3 or 4 and what lane to get into for each exit. This would be very much appreciated, to get my driving experience up im driving everyday now everywhere i can think of. However, multi-lane roundabouts leave me a bit nervous, small roundabouts im fine with. Thank you in advance for your kind messages.

There was a speaker talking about sikhs the kakkars, and the concept of God in sikhism. I missed it but my mum told me about. I dnt know but i have a feeling they may have distorted something or other to fit their purposes if u know what i mean.

What does your brother's wife has to say about his behaviour, maybe you could talk to her to persuade him to leave? OR what you could do is take your brother out on a day trip spoil him rotten and whilst thats going on your family could change the locks on the house, pack his stuff have it all waiting for him outside of your house!

My parents want me to get married and ive been telling them for years to sort themselves out but they dont listen and ive given up trying to change them. When i tell my dad that a girl doesnt want her father in law to be a drinker, his reply is "she's going to be marrying you not me". I dont know what to do....I am trying to climb the "ladder" but the job market is really bad at the moment.

Fateh, I do not drink, eat meat etc and i regularly do my paath now.....im totally different to my family....my mum is religious.....my friend told me that a decent family would not let their daughter marry me because of the fact that my dad drinks alcohol to the point where he sometimes comes home drunk...ive tried to get my family to change i.e. dad not drink and mum not argue with him loudly but its obvious that they never will.....when my friend told me the thing above i became depressed........does this mean ill never get married, my friend goes you dont want to be 30 and still looking to get married.....its making me depressed im going to be 27 soon....:-( (this topic was meant to be posted here but i accidently posted it in the gupt section!)

A dowry is where the grooms family request 'gifts' such as money, property in order for the groom to marry the girl. This practice has been prevalent in India. However, ive never seen it happen in sikh families....though i could be wrong....If your own parents want to give you a house then i dnt think that counts as a dowry within its strict definition.....

Whats wrong with keeping kirpan to the side within reach when showering? i dont think anyone is going to attack me in the bathroom......people take off kirpans when travelling abroad via aeroplanes.....no one as the correct asnwer its all confusing.....someone told me onli AKJs were keski......im confused.

I guess i need to start tying a keski i saw a sikhnet video on youtube and the guy tied one nicely and i cud see how you can tied ur gatra around it THEN i got thinking most of it covers your forehead and during shower you wouldnt be able to wash your face completely. Hi, I have started doing paath everyday now though I am currently just doing Jap Ji Sahib atm slowly building up to the rest. Naturally i want to keep 5Ks on me at all times as well. I understand that you have to keep ur 5 ks on u at all times which i think i can do. I was thinking that how can u keep your kachera on during shower and i some how mentally figured it out lol! With regards to to the kirpan im not sure.....can i tie some pagh material around my head and then put the kirpan in safely? i spoke to a girl and she goes her parent who have been amritdharis for a very long time put their kirpans to the side. Another amritdhari said that i have to wear a keski? but when i asked him why you have to wear a keski they didnt know why. I wud be great if sangat could provide me with a clear answer....as i am confused and i want to keep the 5Ks on me at all times now....Many Thanks...

I know everything happens for a reason and we have to accept God's Will etc....but i dont want to end up marrying a girl like that! all i will be to her is someone who can ease her conscience, im at a marriageable age and i do not want to end up with someone like that.......someone who probably only wants to marry me not for me but some other reason!......ive known women in London (England) who openly dislike the singh image and they hate it.....they go out of their way to let you know in colleges and universities and even secondary schools......then i find it ironic that all of a sudden they want to marry a singh who they have avoided all of their lives....
