iv tried nearly everymartial art mentioned on here. Not one of them catered my needs other then grappling and shastar vidiya. Grappling as its only aimred and close quarter fighting, namely floor work which is good as u be amazed how easy it is to make urself look vunrable to others but really, in the fight u are winning. Fight should last no longer then average of 30seconds. Why? In 30seconds a twat has seen you and is on the fone to the police. If you have to fight longer, maintain with in 2min and get out. Why? in 2min the police hav been alerted and prob on the way!! Get out of there! Street fighting, learn boxing, teaches you how to punch properly. Non of this tap tap stuff Learn grappling, so u can do arm holds and legs holds etc. Ie, if you hav to be there when the police turn up, dont actually make yourself look like the bad person, end you the day "your only retstraining the person... " lol but the damage being done each time the person moves is his fault not urs!! Then overall learn both gatkha for those who believe this is the true battlefield art and SV for those who believe it to be the true art. They are the same. Where Gatkha finishes, then SV takes over. Simply takes any weapons based martial artist to notice the difference in dont look away from your opponent and never turn you back. Iv done both, SV is no longer taught in my city but efforts to go to the nearest akhara will happen when i get a bit more free in time but i also go to the nearest gatkha akhara too. It is teaching the kids defense on reflexes and discipline. Thats a good thing, but realistically, how often are you goin to be walking down the street with a 2 1/2ft stick in your hand?? not very likely so therefore you have already lost your fight. When i actually learned gatkha i was never shown a single hand to hand combat move - hence i went else where to chinese arts for this. As someone has said, and i have said before, all are effective if you stick it out, learn everything with dedication and do Bani with them. If a teacher is corrupt, so what, end of the day, the person you go to who isnt calling themselves a sikh is still gona be drinking and eatin meat, and probably smoking. But mostly, still b down the local calling you a Paki behind your back. Learn what you can from where its good and leave the politics out of it. If your strong in your sikhi and do simran then mahraj guides you. IF you easily get taken for a ride then you cant blame no1 for that other then yourself as then maybe you should realise the problem is with yourself and not others around you. That goes for anything, school and work inclusive.

Does it matter what they look like in action? A khalsa in action has Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the Shaheed Singhs With Him and the Vidiya of weaponary who is better then them? If 300 sikhs would take on armies of 30,000 and WIN!! Why be scared of anyone? Ofcourse we are not at that stage, but keep that in mind!! Worth remembering, if your defending the innocent, Maharaj does the battle!! Best in my opinion as said before on here is a wide mix of many styles and each one offers a unique ability! learn multiple and feel which is most comfortable for you. Hint tho, do one which specialises in grappling also as many fights turn to floor fights, where if you dont know what to do, u are most vunrable

Kaur therefore to keep a record would be just a load of duplicate names!!!! - since there are so many common names given to sikhs now days!!

Is Criticism really necessary? Singhs and Singhnis are trying to do a good cause so you think its ok to knock them down? When i took amrit i didnt tell my parents, i jst did it and next day i wernt gona tell them but then as had keski on when having ishnaan they like why? so i told em i cnt remobe as kakkar and panj said so. They like what?? They didnt mind, just said thought i mite have waited a bit longer before giving head then i excplained that when its time, its time! nothing you can do!!! When you take amrit your parents become Guru Gobind Singh and Mata Sahib Kaur. Ask yourself it you think they will be happy or not. If you want to take amrit then do your ardas and turn up on the day. If maharaj accepts your head then its your time, if not then keep trying until ur number is called! WJKK WJKF

More so really the whole Sikh community should then be deported as its the Sikh People who find this practice to be beadbi to Guru Ji. Those who CLAIM to be SIKHS BUT find this practice ok, maybe should review their position under the SIKH LAWS and discover really, they are not sikh as one who claims to be sikh but does not stand to protect the Guru is not really a Sikh. Sorry to offend anyone here but has anyone actually watched the video with your eyes Open? There are not some negatives, the whole video is a negative. If you want people to get into Sikhi, its not lets take singhs to a club, chat up girls and blast out music which is anti gurmat? Whats next, tigerstyle are kool for being amritdhari and going into clubs and djing there too??? Its Kaljug but yet we dont see it as "Singhs" are in the media". Patkha also isnt really Sikhi Saroop either as Guru Gobind Singh Ji gave us a dastar not a patkha which came in with the british... Over £2k. Im not sure on the exact figure as i cnt remember now!! But there was over £2k collected on the night and a few more people still wanted to donate but didnt have the cash on the night so made their own contributions through the phone lines or passed on to a sevadar who was in contact with the family. The family was VERY appreciative and Sundeep Phenji was in tears to know that sikhs were here for here and did all they could to help her out!! Depends on how many people who wants to shak Amrit! Normally about 2-3 hours.. 118420[/snapback] mine started 2hours late due to traffic.. and so started at 11pm. Got out at round 6ish, u work out the time!! lol and mised one of the BEST rhensbais too!!! Man i was vexed!!!! lol All i could hear was bibi Harjit Kaur kicking it and me siting in a diff room waiting for pesh people!!! lol
