  1. Sangat TV will never apologise to the sangat for all the slandering and hatred they have for Sikh Channel. The difference is so clear, as yesterday on Dilbag Singh's show on Sikh Channel many people phoned in saying they are disgusted that panthic gurdwara's like sedley st, east park road, etc will not send coaches (even thought the sangat are begging them). When these people named people like Rana, Chehru, Joga, Dhesi, etc Dilbag Singh told them to please not name people and slander them on Sikh Channel, as we don't want to fall to this level. I pray and hope Dastar Day is a massive success and these self made leaders learn that the guru khalsa panth don't need them! When Sangat TV filmed 25,000 muslims doing jooma in a park did Sikh Channel start slandering them?

  3. Why do we need permission from these sikh organisations for dastar day? What have these organisations really achieved in the last 27 years (other than fight between each other)? Whose given these organisations authority to only arrange demonstrations?
  4. The only reason they are against it is because they are not at the forefront and did not have the initiative to start the campaign. We should question, why they are so against it? Usually, if one organisation does not agree with something they remain quite and let others carry on to ensure laws on our dastar are not enforced. Most of these people are not our leaders and have there own political agenda. Yet again, Badal & Co are pulling the strings to divide the panth - same old story.. Attend Dastar Day if you think (with an open mind) it's good for Sikhs and don't take notice of the propaganda these 'sold out' leaders and sant channels do..
  5. D Day: 25th September 2011: London: Rome: Madrid: Brussels Turbaned Sikhs Liberated Europe 1944 Now Sikhs across Europe Gather Liberate Turban in Europe 25th September 2011 D Day an abbreviation for Dastar Day (Dastar Punjabi word for Turban) is a Turban Awareness Day to be held at several European Capitals. Thousands of Sikhs will gather across Europe to voice their concerns with Challenges to the Sikh Turban in some parts of Europe. The Turban is an important and integral part of the Sikh identity, in recent years since the heightened security post 9/11, the Sikh Turban has become an easy target for many European officials. The gatherings will give highlight the concerns of ignorance and misunderstanding felt by Sikhs about their Identity. Thousands of Sikhs are expected in a simultaneous gathering organised by the Sikh Channel, a Europe wide TV Station on the SKY platform. Live Broadcast on the Sikh Channel of each Turban Awareness Gathering will take place from Madrid, London, Rome and Brussels. In recent months Sikhs in Italy have experienced particular difficulties at some Italian airports being asked to remove their turbans, with many Sikhs refusing to fly and missing their flights. Similarly some Italian provinces require Sikhs to remove Turbans for driving licence photographs, again many Sikhs have not applied for driving licenses avoiding the humiliation of photographs without their turbans. UK Sikhs in a show of support will attend a Turban Awareness Gathering on 25th September 2011 at midday outside Houses of Parliament. In Rome thousands of Sikhs will gather at the Piazza Montecitorion, with further attendances in Central Madrid and Brussels. This large scale and simultaneous gathering of Sikhs across Europe has never been seen before and is a significant measure to highlight problems being encountered by Sikhs at airports in Europe and raise awareness of the Sikh Turban. Information: Dastar Awareness Gathering: All Sikhs requested to attend with Blue or White or Orange Turbans, no slogans or other issues to be voiced. UK Sikhs: House of Commons, Old Palace Yard SW1 midday – 5pm Italian Sikhs: Manifestation Roma, piazza montecitorio, Piazza navona 10am - 2pm Germany/Belgium/Holland Sikhs Brussels European Parliament : Midday TBC Spanish/Portugal Sikhs Madrid: TBC For further information please email; info@sikhchannel.tv - - - - - - - - - - Background to the Sikh War Contribution By the advent of World War I, Sikhs in the British Indian Army totaled over 100,000, i.e. 20% of the British Indian Army. In the years to 1945, 14 Victoria Crosses were awarded to the Sikhs, a per capita record given the size of the Sikh Regiments.[70] In 2002, the names of all Sikh VC and George Cross winners were inscribed on the pavilion monument of the Memorial Gates[90] on Constitution Hill next to Buckingham palace, London. During World War I, Sikh battalions fought in Egypt, Palestine, Mesopotamia, Gallipoli and France. Six battalions of the Sikh Regiment were raised in World War II, and served at El Alamein and in Burma, Italy and Iraq, winning 27 battle honours. Across the world, Sikhs are commemorated in Commonwealth cemeteries. "In the last two world wars 83,005 turban wearing Sikh soldiers were killed and 109,045 were wounded. They all died or were wounded for the freedom of Britain and the world, and during shell fire, with no other protection but the turban, the symbol of their faith." - General Sir Frank Messervy "British people are highly indebted and obliged to Sikhs for a long time. I know that within this century we needed their help twice [in two world wars] and they did help us very well. As a result of their timely help, we are today able to live with honour, dignity, and independence. In the war, they fought and died for us, wearing the turbans." - Sir Winston Churchill
  6. Where was the akal takht jathedar when 5 guru sahiib ji saroops were thrown into a well full of mud? Why are on earth has he flown to the UK to praise a tv channel?? Who has elected these people to represent us? What right do they have to be our leaders? The roman catholic pope or dalai lama are neutral and never gets involved in using his position to commercially benefit any organisation. The most sickening thing is that when they fall out beween themselves they jump back onto Sikh Channel. The only reason they are against Dastar Day is because it was arranged without their consent (by Sikh Channel). It's no use hiding behind these forums - we need to standup against this corruption by writing to them now; 276 Monument Road Edgbaston Birmingham, B16 8XF U.K. Phone: 0121 760 0000 If you have any query or wish to provide any suggestion/feedback, please email Mr. Jagmohan Singh at jagmohan@sangattrust.org
  7. Funny how all these useless old leaders are all on Sangat 847 claiming it's the future and genuine, while Sikh Channel are focussing on bringing the talented next generation through (panth paneri final).
  8. The Sikhs in France use to have the exact same attitude as you and look where it got them!!
  9. Brilliant retaliation from Sikh Channel; http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sikh-Channel-Sky-840-Official/149575988442445
  10. Yea I'm trying edit them to only show the main points khalsa ji, as the 2 programmes are long.
  11. Sikh Channel never slandered Sangat Tv when they filmed 25,000 muslims praying in the park, which gave a very dangerous message to our youth. Also, Ranjit Rana studied at khalsa college and has a lot of knowledge and speaks well but everyone knows he has very good links with indian gov.
  12. I watched that and thought what cheap and foolish idiots. Another example why Sikhs can't progress together by working together. I recorded it and will try to upload onto youtube to share with everyone. Really hope Sikh Channel retaliate to teach those nindthak's a lesson!
  13. This is disgraceful! When our 3 Sikh brothers drowned a few years ago did you see any muslim channels filming or covering the story? I'm going to tell Nirmal, Randhir and Rana what I think of them when I see them next.
  14. It was this promo that caused the revolution; Can't believe the turnout today; http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-13660218 - keep it up Sikh Channel!!
  15. All you jokers who think that Sikh Channel gave footage to the Police need serious help - these rumours started yesterday before the youth show and are complete rubbish. Ask respectable people like Mohan Singh, Randhir Singh, etc if these bs rumours are true. Please stop wasting energy on fighting between each other when you have zero evidence. Panthic have also lost the plot - they hate every single top parcharak like Gyani Takhur Singh, Baba Hari Singh Randavavale, etc Take a step out the bubble and think what's actually happening; we're all starting to point the finger at each other before the biggest remembrance demonstration by diverting ourselves from the real issues (playing into the real enemies hands). WJKK, WJKF.
  16. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh A humble request to all our beloved brothers and sisters to join; http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sikh-Channel-Sky-840-Official/149575988442445 in order to forward Sikh Channel your views, feedback and breaking news. Gur Fateh Parvan Ji.
  17. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh, Please be aware The Turban Campaign is a useless organisation - they couldn't even mention the disturbing video of the indian police officer taking our brother's dastar off last week. Instead, they posted an article on their website giving Guramit Singh an ultimatum to leave the English Defence League or face excommunication; http://www.turbancampaign.com/updates/sikh-community-issues-ultimatum-to-guramit-singh-denounce-edl-by-vaisakhi-or-face-excommunication/ I'm not being funny, but who do these idiots think they are? These self-made leaders get few corrupt gurdware to sign a form and think they represent us sikhs and the guru khalsa panth? What has Guramit Singh actually done wrong? The man has put his life on the line to speak out about what is happening is every town and city up and down the country. Without a doubt, he has a huge support from the Sikhs, as we are all sick to death of these muslim gangs and islamic extremists taking advantage of our sisters and brothers. His reply the ultimatum was brilliant; http://englishdefenceleague.org/content.php?295-Never-Surrender! What has Turban Campaign or any Sikh institute done about the below; It's even happening in India; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3hJh0G_Jyw&feature=related Every gursikh reading this, think and tell me what have you done to combat the above. Only SAS have the courage to face up the real issues most us amrit-daris are scared to talk about. Keep it up Guramit - we all respect your efforts and bravery (unlike these useless scared self-made leaders). Gur Fateh Parvan Ji.
  18. Brothers and sisters, this is our time to really highlight the real issues. Checkout Sikh Channel's latest facebook post; http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sikh-Channel/240716567790 This live show needs people like yourselves to attend in order to really make an impact.
  19. I couldn't agree with you more. For example if you watch all 3 channels at 12:30pm on weekends you will see Sukhmani Sahib is on all three channels - what is the point of duplicate programming? A major problem is that we have so many brothers and sisters who are great at posting messages on forums anonymously and expect great programming (while sitting on the sofa) but are not prepared to bend backwards to help make an impact. I feel all of the channels are completing missing the point and are not addressing the real issues like; a. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1oU4AquonQ b. c. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7-QTm4N44c Power, money and corruption has killed us. Self made leaders like Kulwant Singh Dhesi and Ranjit Singh Rana (ex Sikh Channel presenters and now presenters of Sangat TV) absolutely despise each other and would never do a show together (they don't even say Fateh) - is this the behaviour of true Sikhs? I was shocked this week when I learnt Sangat TV are planning to film Ravi Shankar in concert - how is this helping sustain and grow Sikhi? The majority of the trustees at Sangat TV (who pay £5k a month) are puppets of Badal - you will see for yourselves when they never give any coverage to killings of innocent Sikhs in Punjab jails. Sikh Channel also really needs to pick up their game by making more professional content to cater for British born Sikhs. I was watching the programme 'Peoples People' on Sangat TV when the kickboxer was interviewed, which had zero relevance to Sikhi. Both the interviewer and guest had uncovered cut hair - is this what we have come to? What message is this giving to it's viewers? Khalsa ji (RSingh96) please check your sources, as I have spoken personally with individuals who have been under pressure by Lakha, Randhir, Malhi, etc for the past 6 months to leave Sikh Channel and join forces with Sangat TV. Sikhi will never ever grow and go forwards if we cannot love each other and become one. Do we really need 3 channels who appear to have the exact same content? We all need to get involved and help as much as possible by placing pressure on our channels to highlight the real issues Sikhs are everyday. As always, please forgive me in advance if any offence taken by any of my brothers and sisters. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
  20. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh, Message to Admin; The original link is no longer online but I can try to get a copy of letter and scan it in for my brothers and sisters who question it's credibility. If you watch 847 now you can see Rana and Avtar Singh doing a live show that use to be on Sikh Channel called miri piri at the exact same time (this is no coincidence). I'm fully aware Sikh Channel are not saints but is this what our beautiful guru khalsa panth has come to? Will they continue competing with each other by playing dirty politics and trying to get a upper hand (while our fellow sikhs continue converting to other religions and cults). All these old wedge, power hungry, useless political fools who have been fighting with each other over the last 27 years are exploiting these channels. These very people claimed (live on air) that they are very loyal to Sikh Channel for the last 2 years and simply switched to Sangat TV on their first live show. I have very close inside links with both Sikh Channel and Sangat Tv and brothers and sisters don't be fooled thinking they have Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Sikhi at interest. Sikhi will never grow if Sikh's cannot learn to love and respect each other. Please forgive me in advance if any offence taken. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
  21. I came across the below letter on the net (addressed to bhai sahib mohinder singh gnnsj from sikh channel) ----- Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru je ki Fateh Sikh Channel is concerned by underhand and aggressive competitive practices in recent days by Sangat TV and humbly requests your advices. As a learned and leading figure in the Sikh community respected widely and by all at Sikh Channel and also as the figurehead and Public Leader of Sangat TV we wish to draw your attention to concerns which you will not be aware of. Sangat TV is positioning itself as a direct competitor and engaging in underhand practices to interfere with the Peoples Channels broadcast and programming. Please clarify: 1. Sangat TV sees Sikh Channel as a direct competitor and are now engaged in aggressive practices towards the People’s Channel programming. 2. Five senior Sangat TV representatives visited the home of one of our Regular Guest Presenters and requested he leave Sikh Channel and join Sangat TV 3. Sikh Channel Presenter has been enticed by financial reward greater than offered by Sikh Channel to present an identical programme to that featured on Sikh Channel thereby infringing intellectual copyright and programming format. We seek your guidance upon Sangat TV, which has you as a figurehead; please confirm if Sangat TV is involved in a campaign of attrition against The Sikh’s Channel. We have had the kind pleasure of your company and know that you as a very Learned Sikh would not condone any such practices however your subordinates may be acting without your authority. The Sikh Channel is bound to bring all matters before the public and will consider publicising the underhand and direct competitive policy of Sangat TV who are determined to copy and duplicate our programming and go further by actively poaching our established presenters. Please clarify Sangat TV policy in this respect, if this indeed is the case, the Sikh Channel will meet with full force this direct and despicable conduct. It would be unfortunate to have this anti panthic anti ekta situation of direct competition brought about by the actions of Sangat TV. We have not approached any presenter or regular Guest upon Sangat TV and had hoped you would offer alternative and differing programming to provide the Sikh Community with a choice. However Sangat TV seems determined to duplicate and poach Sikh Channel presenters and programming. Please clarify the position of Sangat TV in order that we may present it before the viewers of The Sikh Channel and respond accordingly. Moreover please note The Sikh Channel, all its Sevadars have the deepest respect, regard and admiration for you personally. Kindly confirm. Many thanks. Gur Fateh Parvan. Sevadar on behalf of Sikh Channel
