Gur Fateh Ji, I agree with Jivan that these people should be punished severely if they are slandering a deceased spiritual sant / gursikh. However, I'm not sure I agree with your point about the eyebrows - see attached photo (that FB page is claiming its him). Does anyone know who runs that page? They have over 11k likes and I wonder if anyone has any contact with Inderjit Singh also, as he would know for 100%.

But if it's true, Inderjit Singh (who started this post) should tell the sangat the truth. I met Baba Mani Singh several times and after reading that, it's really upset me - hope it's not true.

@ sypyouthshow in all honesty I don't know the answers to all your questions. My only concern is if Sikh Channel lose their licence, our voices will be silenced for good.

@ sypyouthshow please note the the banning of Kam Singh has nothing to do with ofcom fines but was the result of the tent fight and destroyed that live show. I have full faith in Sikh Channel that they will always speak freely.

@ SikhRoots no personal attack was made by Sikh Channel on Kam Singh. However, you are right about shifting the blame, which they have to do otherwise they will face huge fines. I have worked for ITV and know the OFCOM regulations inside out. When a tv channel discusses political or conversional issues, both sides of the argument have to be shown for viewers to decide for themselves. You may remember the sonia deol 84 programme where she interviewed shaheed families but also had to interview general brar. I bet all those who were involved in the youth shows and used it as a platform increase awareness across the whole of europe will not pay a penny for towards fine (if the appeal is rejected), which could be in the region of 75k. Instead, they will leave Sikh Channel to clear up the mess - happens all the time! Kam Singh was 100% in the wrong because as a presenter you should be impartial and let the guests debate against each other. Instead, he made some crazy statements like he will pay all the police and legal fines (which is on youtube). I've heard Sikh Channel will not mention it on air for a few weeks (once Bandi Shor and Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Gurpurab passes). They are not like 847 where they have the akal takat jathedar as 'chief patron' and only rely on direct debits from the sangat.

Those who want to attend will get there even if they have to walk it. All this drama, slandering and cancelling of coaches has created a lot more publicity, resulting in a lot more Sikhs planning to attend.

I have tried many times to call Sangat TV over the last few days to find out why they are dividing the panth and how the panth will not let them succeed - got no answer! Instead, I have had to complain to OFCOM; Dear Alistair I was very disappointed and disgusted with the language used on sangat television on Sky 847 yesterday and on Tuesday night at approx 8pm. There was a group of men who seemed to be slandering the campaigns of another sikh television broadcasting station known as the Sikh Channel (Sky 840). They openly used their name and attacked without holding back. Please can you look into this recording as I would also like to have a copy of this footage asap. I have huge suspicion that sangat tv, sikh council and akal takht jathedar are powered by one man; BADAL! Sikh Channel is a huge threat to indian gov because they expose them regularly like elections, mohali incident, ludiana khand, etc. Baba Baljit Singh from india even phoned in yesterday live on Sikh Channel asking us all to attend so who needs these pointless press releases at this stage..

Sikh Council UK is only about 3 guys and all over - they have huge divide, which has been going on from day one.
