  1. Beautiful piece of shayari! Zamin Par Taare Nahi. Aasman Pe Qabar Nahi. Insan Ko Sabar Nahi. Sajde Me Ji Ka Sar Nahi. Jannat Me Uska Ghar Nahi. Na sawaro is jism ko itni shiddat se, Is jism ko to mitti me mil jana hai, Sawarna hai to apni rooh ko sawaro, Kyon ki rooh ko hi to khuda k ghar jaana hai.... Daag tere daaman ke dhule na dhule.. Nekiya teri Tarazu mey tule na tule.. Aaj hi Gunaho se karle tauba.. Khuda jaane kal teri Aankh khuley na khuley....
  2. Not necessarily they have to be born again, it all depends on their karmic account left to be paid off, or it also depends if they have any un- satisfied desires left, otherwise they can be kept at some internal spiritual planes within, and have the Amrit within, for as the Bani says : Amrit Nam Parmeshwar Tera. The truth is, the jeeva as it gets more and more purified, with the simran of His Nam at a starting point, which at our present level is somehow tasteless for us, but the more and more it gets purified, the process of Nam Japna, changes into Amrit, which the souls starts savouring it, and since then never ever leaves it, for that Nam, which is Amrit by itself, takes hold of that wadbhagee soul, and leads it back to its Nijh Ghar, Sach Khand. That is the beant wadeeayee of our beloved Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Stay blessed. Sat Sree Akal.
  3. Sat Sree Akal In my opinion, you should pay attention to the simran of Wahiguru, for all the forms emerged from that primal force, which Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj since the very begining tells us : Ik Oankar Satnam . All forms emerged from that One Satnam, and came at our level in the forms of Guru Sahiban, but when they returned back, they left here that their temporary form, and regained that their original formless form of Satnam. All their Bani, is a praise of that Akal Purukh, and they advise us to also devote ourselves to Nam. Just as an example of their teachings, following is a verse of Sree Guru Ram Das Maharaj, where He clearly answers the beautiful topic of this present thread: ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਨਾਮੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ Naam Japath Naamae Sukh Paavai Har Naamae Naam Samaavai Chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, he finds peace, and merges in the Naam. As we can see, He does not mention any particular form where one will merge by the simran of Wahiguru, but, in that true form of Wahiguru which is eternal, since Aad Sach Jugad Sach, is true even now for it is hae bhee Sach, and shall forever remain so : Nanak hosee bhee Sach. Stay blessed. Sat Sree Akal.
  4. Who makes it to Sachkhand? To this wonderful question, Fifth Patshahee Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj, gives us a still wonderful answer: Avar Karathooth Sagalee Jam Ddaanai || All other efforts are punished by the Messenger of Death, Govindh Bhajan Bin Thil Nehee Maanai || Which accepts nothing at all, except meditation on the Lord of the Universe. Sukhmani Sahib Sree Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj. Though Guru Jee is very very clear in His paviter Bani, but if there is still any clarification needed, it could be well said, that, only those who do "Govindh Bhajan" as seen in His own words above, means to meditate on Him, only they, make way and reach Sach Khand. Sat Sree Akal.
  5. “Our inner guidance comes to us through our feelings and body wisdom first -- not through intellectual understanding. The intellect works best in service to our intuition, our inner guidance, soul, God or higher power - whichever term we choose for the spiritual energy that animates life.” ~ Christiane Northrup “I trust so much in the power of the heart and the soul; I know that the answer to what we need to do next is in our own hearts. All we have to do is listen, then take that one step further and trust what we hear. We will be taught what we need to learn.” ~ Melody Beattie “Spiritual growth requires the development of inner knowing and inner authority. It requires the heart, not the intellect.” ~ Gary Zukav “Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray.” Rumi. “Ultimately, we must learn to trust ourselves. When we do this intimately and intelligently, the world opens full of meaning before us. We find that we ourselves are the doorway to a fathomless understanding of the source of life itself. We need only to learn to walk through it.” ~ James Thornton

  8. Hi, I am no expert, but that much I can say, the existence of diferent interpretations you mention, is true, but, that is because it all depends, on the purity within the persons. Being learned, vidhvan, gyani, or a scholar, does not guarantee in any way , in understanding the Gurbani, in its real measure. For Gurbani, is the language, the wsidom of Wahiguru Akal Purukh Himself, through Guru Sahiban. I would say, almost none of us can fully understand the depth, the beauty, the value of Gurbani, then too, it all depends on His kirpa. The Sun shines at its fullest, but its rays, its refulgence, its light, enters through the window into the room in bigger measure, depending on how much clean are the windows, the more they are cleaner, more the light enters through that window. Less dirt(karmas, vikars, manmukhta), more Light(tat gyan, capacity of understanding); on the contrary, more dirt, less Light. Intellectually/academically, we can be more sharper, but spiritual wise, purity in thought, word and action, are of vital importance, in the understanding of Gurbani. Understanding of the Bani in the correct sense, comes also, by doing His bhakti with intense devotion, for that by itself is a real purifier of the jeeva/soul. Some may say, the company of the beloved ones or real lovers of Wahiguru, is also very helpful to understand Gurbani, but, then also, we need purity, not otherwise. Purity can be got : by humility, sewa, goodness at heart for all, morality, and above all, deep faith and love for His Lotus Feet, as said above, through His bhakti. Stay blessed. Sat Sree Akal.
  9. Brother Genie, from our physical level, our perception of reality, or let us say how Nature works, is quite thick. You see all that passes away, can not be real, and so does the physical body. Soul by itself is a changeless particle of Wahiguru, so there are no new souls nor old souls. The body as a covering on the soul/being, does change, just like we can change a shirt. It is not necessary for the shirt to get old, before it is discarded, for it can be torn to several reasons even while being quite new... So you see, from a higher spiritual perspective, the souls come to settle an X amount of karmas, and move further or farther, it again depends on the karam they still have in their stock, along with the one created while having stayed on this plane of consciousness. So the souls according to their destiny karmas, get a body for a particular time being. Evrything is decided berfor one is born, not that first we are born, then the destines get designed ... No, it is not that way. From a higher perspective, things just do not happen just like that, it would be a chaos, as if some one is moving the strings of people´s lives according to the moods, or liking or disliking of that being. So we ignorant humans, and weak and limited beings, do not understand the real forces behind the events that take place in the creation, then try to find some culprit, and as usually, we always blame Wahiguru Akal Purukh first. How unjust are we with Him! Nobody can stay even for a second more, having finished his/her number of breaths to take, thus settled all accounts of his/her karmas for that particular life time, no matter, if one even tries to pay a billion dollar, then too we can not get an extension of a breath from nowhere. So, while being happy and enjoying life, we should always keep in mind the divine amrit bachans of Guru Jee, in order to fully understand what life is, and what is its purpose: Kis naal keejay dostee, sabh jag chalan haar. Ekas(Wahiguru) bin, sabh dandh hae. Life is nothing, but mere engagement in karmas to perpetuate our stay in the mayavee creation, but if we do His bhakti and take shelter at His Lotus Feet, through His paviter Nam, then that very Nam, becomes our jahaaz to take us back to Him: Nanak Naam jahaaz hae, jin chareeya se utareeya paar. Guru Jee, right from the begining tells us: Ik Oankar Sat Nam. The Nam, is the only changeless true eternal Lord, rest is all koor, all maya. Stay blessed. Sat Sree Akal.

  11. Valuable Knowledge for every aspect of life - personal & professional 1. Wise is the one who can treat happiness & sadness equally. They both come & go in life. Be a witness to it. Don’t get swayed by happiness or drowned in sadness. 2. We are either busy in self blame or blaming others. A Yogi is one who is stable in between these two states. 3. In a bus or train, people keep boarding & alighting. You don’t welcome people, send off people! You continue your journey indifferent/ unaffected by the people joining/ leaving. Like this , stay strong in all situations of life. Don’t get affected by good or bad people. 4 Think that you will die now! What use or value is all your wealth to you ? Only the mere remembrance of our death, can remind us that everything material is of no value. Then why worry about it? 5 We get disturbed so much by words! If someone says something unkind / rude, it pierces through our heart. Know that the world is a play of words! If you are sincere & doing the right things, what fear do you have? Rise above & over this. 6 To stitch a cloth, you need scissor & needle. One cuts & one threads. Same way some enemies of our life cut our happiness, some friends stitch it . Both have a place in making our life.
  12. Dying to the Shabad Tulsee Das was a Saint. When he was young he was devoted to reaching God and he struggled slowly on this path. When he got married he was head over heels in love with his beautiful wife, she became the sole reason for his living, everything he did was to please her. One day he surprised her with a gift - she was overwhelmed by his love and said, 'If you were devoted to God half as much as you are to me, I'm sure you would have reached God by now.' The words struck Tulsee Das to the core and his earlier life of devotion came flooding back to his mind, from that day on God became his sole focus once again. Many years later when Tulsee Das was old and wise and respected by all in the village as a saint, a Brahmin priest came to him. He said to Tulsee Das, 'All my life I've preached and read the scriptures, but I haven't met my Beloved Ram. Tell me what I should do?'. Tulsee Das said, 'It's very simple, all you have to do is climb that tall tree and jump off the branch with full faith that Ram will catch you.' The Brahmin was inspired and climbed the tree, he sat on the branch and looked down at the hard ground below. No matter how hard he tried he couldn't make the leap. Many hours passed and the Village HeadMan (SarPanch) walked by with a bag of money. Noticing the Brahmin he enquired as to what he was doing. The Brahmin explained that Tulsee Das had said that by jumping off the tree Ram would catch him. The SarPanch who wasn't a religious man quickly said, 'O Brahmin, if you like you may have this bag of money, but give me Tulsee Das's blessing in exchange.' The Brahmin didn't take too long to think about the offer and was soon off on his way with the bag of money. The SarPanch climbed the tree went across the branch and with full faith in Ram he jumped off. Ram caught him like a baby in its mother's arms. Sounds too unbelievable to be true? But look for the deeper meaning, there's a very, very important spiritual point to this story. I am like the Brahmin, I do my nitnem prayers and preach to people. I do Waheguru Waheguru meditation and I follow the bits of the Guru's Shabad that I like and ignore the bits that are difficult to apply. I follow half of the Hukam, God's Order, and my life trickles away like this then I wonder why I haven't met Waheguru ji. When my brother comes to me with a great business opportunity my focus becomes how I can make lots and lots of money and in the background I rush my nitnem and Waheguru Waheguru meditation. My life trickles away like this and I wonder why I haven't met Waheguru ji. But one day with Guru Ji's great kirpa, I hear the story of Tulsee Das. Now I realise I am like the Brahmin, I have lots of things to live for and I am scared of dying. Guru Nanak Ji says 'I have no anxiety about dying, and no hope of living.' (p20). Why is Guru Nanak Ji so brave? Because he has full faith that Waheguru ji is looking after him 'SIREE RAAG, FIRST MEHL: I have no anxiety about dying, and no hope of living. You are the Cherisher of all beings; You keep the account of our breaths and morsels of food. You abide within the Gurmukh. As it pleases You, You decide our allotment. || 1 ||' (p20). So in my ardas, 'Guru Granth Sahib Jee you have given your blessing like Tulsee Das gave to the Brahmin. Give me full faith in your Gurbanee Words like the SarPanch had full faith in what Tulsee Das said. Baba Ji may I follow your words 100% and if it kills me then I have faith Waheguru ji You yourself will catch me.' And dear Khalsa Ji, when you die while alive and are caught by Waheguru ji then you will be called Jeevan Mukhat. While still alive you have obtained liberation. By dying to the Shabad one finds the True Life held in the arms of Waheguru ji. with thanks to the AKJ website
