  3. Divorce after 35 years !! -A Very nice story An elderly man in Mumbai calls his son in New York and says, 'I hate to ruin your day son, but I have to tell you that your mother and I are getting a divorce; 35 years of marriage... and that much misery is enough!' 'Dad, what are you talking about?' the son screams. 'We can't stand the sight of each other any longer,' the old man says. 'We're sick of each other, and I'm sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in Hong Kong and tell her!' Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone. 'Like heck they're getting divorced,' she shouts, 'I'll take care of this.' She calls Mumbai immediately, and screams at the old man, 'You are not getting divorced. Don't do a single thing until I get there. I'm calling my brother back, and we'll both be there tomorrow. Until then , don't do a thing, DO YOU HEAR??' and she hangs up. The old man hangs up his phone and turns to his wife. 'Okay', he says, 'It's all set. They're both coming for our anniversary and paying their own airfare!!' MORAL: No man / woman, is busy in this world all 365 days. The sky is not going to fall down if you take few days LEAVE to make your parents or friends happy. Always Remember Charlie Chaplin's 3 Heart touching statements:- 1st- Nothing is permanent in this world, not even our Troubles.. 2nd- I like walking in the rain, because nobody can see my tears.. And 3rd MOST IMP- the most wasted day in life, is the day, in which, we have not laughed..
  4. FOCUSSING One daughter, went to her father and said... I won't be going to Gurudwara anymore.. He said, may I ask why?? She said, I see people on their cell phones during service, some are gossiping, some just ain't living right, they are all just hypocrites... Father became silent, and he said, OK... But can I ask you to do something for me before you make your final decision? She said, what's that? He said, take a glass of water and walk around the Gurudwara 2 times and don't let any water fall out the glass. She said, yes I can do that. She came back and said it's done. He asked her 3 questions: 1. Did you see anybody on their phone? 2. Did you see anybody gossiping? 3. Was anybody living wrong? See, I didn't see anything because I was too focused on this glass, so the water wouldn't fall. He told her, when you go to a Gurudwara, that is what you ought to do, you should be just focused on God, that much , so that YOU won't fall, by being receptive to His kirpa.
  5. Bro BhForce Jee, I have gone through this Shabad of Guru Jee in ANG 714, which is as follows: ਟੋਡੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ Nindhak Gur Kirapaa Thae Haattiou || The slanderer, by Guru's Grace, has been turned away. Paarabreham Prabh Bheae Dhaeiaalaa Siv Kai Baan Sir Kaattiou ||1|| Rehaao || The Supreme Lord God has become merciful; with Shiva's arrow, He shot his head off. Kaal Jaal Jam Johi N Saakai Sach Kaa Panthhaa Thhaattiou || Death, and the noose of death, cannot see me; I have adopted the Path of Truth. Khaath Kharachath Kishh Nikhuttath Naahee Raam Rathan Dhhan Khaattiou ||1|| I have earned the wealth, the jewel of the Lord's Name; eating and spending, it is never used up. Bhasamaa Bhooth Hoaa Khin Bheethar Apanaa Keeaa Paaeiaa || In an instant, the slanderer was reduced to ashes; he received the rewards of his own actions. Aagam Nigam Kehai Jan Naanak Sabh Dhaekhai Lok Sabaaeiaa ||2||6||11|| Servant Nanak speaks the truth of the scriptures; the whole world is witness to it. ੬ Raag Todee Guru Arjan Dev And from what I humbly understand from it is, that, the nindak is the mind, which is destroyed and turned to ashes with a slight stroke of Naam. You see, neither the mind is physical, nor Wahiguru is, for Wahiguru is is even more, it is Alakh, means not visible at all. The devis, devtays, gods, angels, trinities, though invisble to us, have a form to an extent, which is surely not the case with Wahiguru. Wahiguru is nothing but Shabad, Naam, Dhun, Bani, Sachee Bani, Dhur kee Bani ..... which has nothing but only Shabad, or Naam... And Naam as such, needs nothing to use, nor the support of any tools nor weapons, to fulfill His hukum. He is self suffiicient. When He is pleased with some jeev atma, He just manifests itself in that being as Dhun, thus all impurities, vices, vikars, kaal, mahakal, mind, and everything ceases to exist for that wadbhagee jeeva. So, in order for us moorakhs to understand His hukum, the Bani says, that the nindak, the head where the mind resides, the mind, is cut off, like with the Siv baan. In a similar way, once the mind tastes the Amrit of wahiguru´s Naam, it falls down dead. Then only the jeev soul, is freed from the death, and merges in the Infinte, Eternal Ocean of Truth, namely, Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Such is His beant wadeeayee. Sat Sree Akal.
  6. MARRIAGE People say: Marriage brings, spice, tears, flavour and taste to life! Personally I believe, Paani puri does a better job at a cheaper cost.
  7. Advice to seniors. A study in United States shows over 51% of old people fall down from climbing stairs. Every year, many Americans are killed by climbing stairs. Experts Reminder: After 60 years, these 9 actions should be avoided: 1, do not climb staircase. If must climb, hold on firmly to staircase railings. 2, do not rapidly twist your head. Warm up your whole body first. 3, do not bend your body to touch your toe. Warm up your whole body first. 4, do not stand to wear your pants. Wear your pants while sitting down. 5, do not sit up when lying face up. Sit up from one side (left hand side, or right hand side) of your body. 6, do not twist your body before exercise. Warm up whole first. 7, do not walk backwards. Falling backwards can result in serious injury. 8, do not bend waist to lift heavy weight. Bend your knees and lift up heavy object while half squatting. 9, do not get up fast from bed. Wait a few minutes before getting up from bed.

  9. Some quotes from Rabindhra Nath Tagore.... You can't cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water. Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky. Beauty is truth's smile when she beholds her own face in a perfect mirror. Let your life lightly dance on the edges of Time like dew on the tip of a leaf. Don't limit a child to your own learning, for he was born in another time. By plucking her petals, you do not gather the beauty of the flower. The butterfly counts not months but moments, and has time enough. Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark. Depth of friendship does not depend on length of acquaintance. Let us not pray to be sheltered from dangers but to be fearless when facing them. The flower which is single need not envy the thorns that are numerous. We come nearest to the great when we are great in humility. Love is the only reality and it is not a mere sentiment. It is the ultimate truth that lies at the heart of creation. Love is not a mere impulse, it must contain truth, which is law. Love is an endless mystery, for it has nothing else to explain it. Everything comes to us that belongs to us if we create the capacity to receive it

  11. Our greatest sin, is not that we commit wrong actions. Because tempatation is great and we are weak. But the greatest sin is, that we can turn our attention towards Him and hold on to Him and we do not.
  12. Guest Angry Jee, your cousin´s chacha is absolutely wrong. It is evident, age does not bring gyan, rather by His kirpa, and those blessings are surely on you, so be strong mentally, for the world will always try to put one down, instead of being supportive, but Wahiguru is with you, that is why you have that prem and sharda in Him. So thank Him, for that precious gift. Regarding your case, you see, it is said that if the path to our destination Wahiguru, was short and easy, and we had unlimited time at our disposal, then we could begin the journey of bhakti at any time. But the fact is, our condition is the opposite, the journey is long and ardous, and the time is very much limited and uncertain. Therfore, would it not be wise to start as soon as possible? Time is passing rapidly. Minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years just seem to flash away, so, where is our sense or urgency, when we should be making the most of what we ought to really do, which is His bhakti as our first priority? Living in the world, interacting with people, it all seems to be so real and true. Our daily routine, work, friends and family, all take up a significant proprtion of our time and attention. Considering them to be urgent, we put off, that which is truly important. We all have good intentions, lofty goals, and even the desire to attain them. However we are caught up between, that which is important, our devotion to Him, and that which, we think is urgent, as per our daily worldly life, duties and resposibilities. "The urgent" has taken over our lives so much, that, "the important"is put on a back burner, and unfortunately either forgotten or postponed. Wahiguru does not say, leave all your duties and come to me, rather we have to be like swans, while being in the pond, when the need arises, it flies with its wings dry. The same should be with us, from the 24 hours at our avail, we should take out time for all activities and duties, but, we should not fail, to devote certain time of each day, in His rememberance. We owe our existence to Him, so should we not, as thankful children, pay Him some attention of love, by doing His bhakti? just as we want to make money right from our young years, so that in the old age we should live with dignity without depending on anyone or anybody, in a similar way, the "dhan or wealth of Bhakti", which we go on gathering or amassing, with eaxch passing moment in our lives, is the only wealth, which we can ever carry with us, everything else shall be left behind, except our heavy karmas. So why not gather that dhan as much as possible, that also which is showered freely by Him upon all. Our attitude in gathering this spiritual wealth, should at least be, just like as a miser gathers each one penny and puts it into the piggy bank. Though His Name is unvaluable, and no amount of any money in the three lokas can make it ours, if it was not for His grace and mercy alone. The wolrd will keep on putting us off from the path of Truth, nevertheless we should pity them, and with courage and faith in Him, do our bhakti as much as possible. Stay blessed. Sat Sree Akal.
  13. You are absolutely corect. Guru Sahiban can never ever have any past life nor karam, for they they come from the plane of complete Truth, namely Sach Khand, for the only purpose to enlighten and upliftment of mankind, in the mysteries of Wahiguru Akal Purukh, for us polluted jeevas, as we can not have any sort of access, not morally, neither physically, nor intelectually. We are tightly bound by maya and karam, thus in deep agyanta, unless He, through His kirpa dissolves these our tight chains, there is no hope for us,. Bin Navai nahee kou thao. Sat Sree Akal.
