  1. After reading your post...I kept laughing for a few seconds. Imagining how you gave tough time to all those who came to convince you. And the best thing was, you knocked them out, like in boxing and came out as a champion. This is the greatness of sikhee, it gives us that much firm faith in Wahiguru as Truth, that all else is meaningless for us, and nobody can shake us. Sat Sree Akal
  2. Lioness Pen Jee, we are all imperfect. Having said that, we can all assure you, Simran Pen Jee is not at all as you may imagine. She is a veteran poster here, and most kind sister to all, her posts are the proof. This is the goodnes of Sikh Sangat, 99.99% of the posters are genuinely good sikhs. The thing is, most of us have our own thinking, which we should and must respect, except of course if it is rubbish. No need to get infuriated or heated, which only leads to set us apart. We as sikhs, only have to see the sharda we have in Wahiguru, that is what really matters, other things are just pointless... Sat Sree Akal.
  3. Wahiguru Akal Purukh´s grace falls eqaully on each and every jeeva. He does no partiality like manmukhs, for all are His very own. The awareness of His kirpa and Light, is more felt, when the lesser the layers on ourselves. For example, if the windows of our houses are dirty, then no matter how much sunlight is there, our homes are filled with darkness. Only when we start cleaning the dirt accumulated on the windows, the first sun ray comes in, and there is some light in the room, and the more we clean, more and more light comes in, and brighter our houses become. In a similar way, the more bhakti we do, the more we cleanse the filth from our minds, and the the more we feel His love, His daya. You see, the sunlight is always there, in equal measure for all, it is we who have turned our backs to Him, or have shut the windows of our homes and allowed the dirt being accumulated on the glasses of the windows. Wahiguru is there and everywhere, it is we who have to cleanse throughly(Bhakti), in order to feel the warmth of His prem, and the Light of His consciousness, then we shall never ever walk in darkness and make mistakes(karam), rather walk towards Him, with full faith and devotion, and at the end of the day(our existence in maya), the individual Sun ray(jeev atma), merges and becomes the Sun itself. Sat Sree Akal.
  4. Guest Bibi Jee, I like your positive thought of being ready to get up and start walking. In fact this is the first step for success as goal. You see, sometimes, it is His garce which we just receive it, because He wants to give it, cause He is so graceful, but we do not value it correctly, and we loose it. But then too, still there is a chance to get that Grace once again. With the only difference, that now we have to pay a price for it. And that price is, to please Him; and as we all know, He is only pleased with Bhakti, there are no ways to bribe Him, it is only Bhakti needed. Bhakti with sincereity, intensity, selflesness, then only we get the fruit of His Grace. You see, He is akhoot Daya da Sagar. He can not withold Himself, without showering His daya. Just as the river flows, so does He ever showers His bountiful grace. Though it maybe difficult to cope with our situation, asking ourselves why to this our present condition? But the fact is, even in this condition, His daya, His kirpa is present. For once we were inmature, we realized not the value of His kirpa, so He wants us to get stronger and mature conscioussly; for now we are aware of what we once had, and we want it sincerely, with the difference of, that now we have to work for it. Unlike other worldly things, people, relations, who may not be faithful with us after setting a deal; but, that is not the case with Wahiguru. He is faithful to His nature, He never fails anybody. So it does not matter, if we think it is going to be hard and we may feel discouraged or insecure, but nobody says, the path of bhakti is a path of roses. In the end, we are no better than beggars at His door, and as such, we can at most keep on knocking(doing bhakti), until He, Kul Malik, deems fit, and opens for us, His doors. Bibi Jee, never loose hope in Him, for He knows and sees each and every sincere efforts of ours, that also, through His grace alone. Sat Sree Akal.
  5. To this your question Guest Gupt Jee, Dhan Dhan Satguru Arjun Dev Maharaj gives us the answer in a couple of verses from His paviter Bani Dukh Bhanjan Sahib. *First of all He says: ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਬਣਤ ਬਣਾਈ Sathigur Pooraa Bhaettiaa Jin Banath Banaaee सतिगुरु पूरा भेटिआ जिनि बणत बणाई I have met the Perfect True Guru, who has done this deed. *Here He is telling us, that Guru Jee has done His job, of showering His kirpa on us. *Then in this next verse, He says: ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਦੀਆ ਏਕਾ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ Raam Naam Aoukhadhh Dheeaa Eaekaa Liv Laaee राम नामु अउखधु दीआ एका लिव लाई He has given me the medicine of the Lord's Name, and I enshrine love for the One Lord. *Though Satguru Jee is one with Akal Purukh, and is pooran by Himself, but even then, He places Himself as our mirror, and tells us, that when He got the message of Truth from Guru Jee by His apaar kirpa, He meditated on it, He did Simran of that aoukhad Naam, and the result of it was, that He developed and enshrined Love or prem for the Supreme Lord Wahiguru Akal Purukh. So, here we can clearly see, that Guru Jee is telling us, you complain for not having prem for Him, do not worry and reverse your inner state, from a empty one, to the full one of His Love, by just doing the bhakti of His Naam Simran. God bless you. Sat Sree Akal.
  6. There are a couple of ways to have that prem for Him. One is, do sadh sangat of His lovers, His gursikhs, listen and read about His mahima...Sangat has a deep effect on minds, be it good or bad sangat. So to develope that love for Him, we have also to get in the sangat of His lovers. Read Shabad Hazary, and listen the katha of some gyanis on this very Shabad... The second way to have that prem or love, is by the bakshish of His kirpa. And to receive or attract that kirpa on us, we have to please Him. And He is pleased most, when we do His bhakti, for the sake of Himself only. He is the very embodiment of "akhoot prem". So when we realize Him within us through His bhakti, He then fills each pore of the vessel of our being, with His that infinite Love. So, do not worry if now you do not feel prem, just do His bhakti sincerely as much as you can , bhajan bandagee on regular and daily basis without expectations, for a beggar can do nothing more then remaining at the door of Sachay Patshah Akal Purukh, then He, Kul Malik, will fill our jholees with the prem of His kirpa. God bless you. Sat Sree Akal.
  7. Lionesswoman Pen Jee, it is all His beant wadeeayee. Sat Sree Akal
  8. Sikh means a learner, a disciple. Who implicitly follows Guru Sahiban, through Gurmat, for only one purpose, which is, of his/her union with the primal eternal unchangeable Truth, namely Wahiguru Akal Purukh. The sikh derives his/her strength from the Jot of the graceful Guru, who infuses love and devotion in the sikh for Wahiguru, and constantly accompanies that sikh until it reaches its destiny. With the power of the Guru, the soul jeeva conquers the mind, and leaves behind the realms of maya, of brahm, to proceed towards its True Home, the source of true bliss and Light, and become forever one, with the Owner of that Home, named Sach Khand. This is in a gist, the nature of the sikh, the Guru, and the Origin of everything else, Akal Purukh. Gurmat gyan, in just a few and simple words, is beautifully described in the following verse: Ik Oankar Satgur Parsad. Sat Sree Akal.
  9. Just tell me, is Wahiguru limited to Gurdwaras? So, as the posters above have suggested, pray at home or wherever you feel talking to Wahiguru Jee, and as jkvlondon pen jee has said, you have lots of kathas, keertan, sikh channels online... make the most of it. God bless you. Sat Sree Akal.
  10. SUPREME IMPORTANCE OF NAAM OVER OTHER PRACTICES Raag Ramkalee, Panchvee Patshahee Satguru Arjun Dev Maharaj Without Naam, no one can be carried across. ਸਗਲ ਉਪਾਵ ਨ ਚਾਲਹਿ ਸੰਗਿ Sagal Oupaav N Chaalehi Sang सगल उपाव न चालहि संगि make any amount of other efforts, but none will go along with you. In this couplet above from Raag Ramkalee of Dhan Dhan Satguru Arjun Dev Maharaj, He tells us that, only Naam is the vessel to ferry us across from this mayavee creation to our True Home in Sach Khand, and if we do not do its "kamaee", then no matter how many other tricks, efforts, rituals, we may perform, but, none of them shall be for us of any help, in returning back to our Nijh Ghar. You see, these paviter words of the Bani above, are not mine, nor of any gyani, devi, devtay, but, of Wahiguru Akal Purukh Himself, when He was in the swaroop of Fifth Patshahee. And His words are eternal Truth, are the exact and precise directions to be followed, for those who want Him only. Others may talk big things, but nevertheless is manmukhta, which shall surely bind us by our necks in the chaurasee. Poor jeevas.... doing not what Guru Jee tells us to do, but rather do, what the ignorant andhay manmukhs lead us to believe. Is it that difficult to follow Guru jee´s Hukum? That also, when out of His apaar kirpa, He simplifies for us, the path which has to be travelled in reaching Him, and thus He catching our arm by His powerful hand, and pulling us out from this nashvaant mayavee creation... Sat Sree Akal.
  11. Mostly marriages be racial or interracial do not work, because of the weakness, either of one or both the parties. As their union is based on kaam vaasna. This kaam vaasna is natural to an extent, but the main thing is to be clear and sure on how we should mould our lives and live accordingly with Gurmat. Ups and downs are certain in our lives, but if our base is strong in sikhee, we can face anything in our lives. And being strong in sikhee means, living sikhee as per the pure teachings of Guru Sahiban. If we just take birth in a sikh family and may know wholeheartedly the Bani, then we are just sikhs on the surface, while at the bottom of our beings we are severe manmukhs. Now if this is our case, and we marry someone out of our "kaum", accidents are sure to happen. Marriage by itself is not to give freedom to our selfish kaamee instincts, and in trying satisfying them; rather in being human beings and being helpful to our spouses and children if any, with the best of our abilities. Along with that attitude, bhajan bandagee should be included regularly in our daily lives, then only will we develope inner strength, and be ready to stay in His bhaana with whatever circumstances we may find ourselves. Sat Sree Akal.
  12. SOME QUESTIONS (as sikhs) AND ANSWERS (from Guru Jee) ON SPIRITUALITY. Q)What is the highest karam which one can perform as being accepted in His court? Singing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, is the highest of all actions. Raag Sorath Dhan Dhan Satguru Arjan Dev Maharaj. Q) Who can perform that highest karam? Says Nanak, he alone obtains it, who is pre-destined to receive it. * The remaing shall be entangled and engrossed with outer "koor". Raag Sorath Dhan Dhan Satguru Arjan Dev Maharaj. Q) How can we do sewa of the Supreme Lord Wahiguru Akal Purukh? Serve the Immaculate Lord God, by meditating on the Lord's Name Raag Sorath Dhan Dhan Satguru Amar Das Maharaj. Sat Sree Akal.
  13. Yes Simran Pen Jee, he is a real fake, as he is deliberately doing so for not being recognized. There is a famous saying which goes like this: a monkey even if dressed in silky clothes, yet remains a monkey, but this fake poster above is even worse, for he has only changed for a while with a copied user name as a new dress, but his lies and wickedness are the same as usual. My aplogies Sikhni Pen Jee as far as concerns on my part, but, we sikhs are either too soft or too hard. We should be hard with those who prefer the hard way, for unless they get some good slaps(not punches), they will never understand, that is how they are used to, they think they can bully here as they want, and nobody wil raise their voices against their misbehavior, and yet they even dare to portray themselves at the same time as defenders of sikhee...then that is their bad luck, they shall get only dandas here, which their parents never gave them. No bullying here please, this is decent website with decent people. To the hell with them. Sat Sree Akal.
  14. We all ask for Grace(Daya) from Wahiguru, but here in this Shabad, Guru Jee tells us, what type of Grace should we ask from Him. Sat Sree Akal.
  15. Better you stop behaving as a donkey, otherwise you are sure going to get more dandas now then when you were little(small)...stupid fellow Note: Admin/Mods, please be mindful as there are some idiots playing mischief, by using names of genuine posters here, just as Kira, Jacfsing2, Simran345, as mine now also..
  16. You bloody liar, why are you hiding behind the disguise as a fake guest, using similar name as mine, and acting as a mad. I know who you are, you may hide as a coward behind a fake guest name, and use words to distract, but your polluted filthy thoughts, are the same as when you use your true name. Ha ha ha foolish clown
  17. Sat Sree Akal Jee, I am afraid, it may not be of much help, but I have found the information below on the net, after searching several sites. Please read it, maybe, who knows, it may provide if not a cure, but a relief. Anyhow my best wishes and Akal Purukh´s Mauj is with your friend. Anytime you see or feel a rash on your skin or lesions in your mouth or on your genitals, you should see your doctor as soon as possible. Your primary care doctor may send you to a dermatologist if a diagnosis of lichen planus is not obvious, or if your symptoms are making you very uncomfortable. Your primary care doctor or dermatologist may be able to tell that you have lichen planus simply by looking at your rash. To confirm the diagnosis, you may need further tests. Tests could include a biopsy, which means taking a small sample of your skin cells to view under a microscope, or an allergy test to find out if you are having an allergic reaction. If your doctor suspects the underlying cause is an infection, you may need to have a test for hepatitis C. Treating lichen planus For mild cases of lichen planus, which usually clear up in weeks or months, you may not need any treatment. If the symptoms are uncomfortable or severe, your doctor can prescribe medication. There is no cure for lichen planus, but medications that treat the symptoms are helpful and some may even be able to target a possible underlying cause. Medications often prescribed include: retinoids, which are related to vitamin A and are taken topically or orally corticosteroids reduce inflammation and can be topical, oral, or given as an injection antihistamines reduce inflammation and may be particularly helpful if your rash is triggered by an allergen nonsteroidal creams are applied topically and can suppress your immune system and help clear up the rash light therapy treats lichen planus with ultraviolet light Home treatments There are other things you can try at home to complement your prescription treatments. These include: soaking in an oatmeal bath avoiding scratching applying cool compresses to the rash using OTC anti-itch creams Talk to your doctor before adding OTC products to your treatment plan. This way you’ll be certain that nothing you might take will interact with prescription medications you’re taking. You may visit this website also, it offers mediaction/treatment http://www.emuaid.com/lichen-planus-solution
  18. The path which leads us to our True Home: Raag Sorath, Dhan Dhan Satguru Amar Das Maharaj Those who chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, are passed over by the Messenger of Death. Those who meditate on the Lord, go to His Court in robes of honor. In the couplet above, with words of Satguru Amar Das Maharaj, He tells us that, when one dedicates oneself in the devotion of Nam Bhakti alone, then even the messengers of death dare not interfere in the way of that wadbhagee jeev atma / soul, of returning back to its Nijh Ghar. There is absolutely no power which can stop that soul in going back, no maya, no Kaal, absolutely nothing, as one is under the shelter of Naam. Then He tells us also, that, those who meditate on Naam Simran, are cleansed from all impurities of karmas, vikaars, impressions, etc, thus throughy purified, return back to their origin Akal Purukh, and merge in Him, thus becoming one with Him. Sat Sree Akal.
  19. There must sure be some misunderstanding, as far as I know, nowhere I am using Gurbani to justify fasting, moreover myself I am against all these beliefs/rituals. I am very clear in my post above, that no spiritual achievement is possible with fasting or any other rituals, thus they are useless. Sat Sree Akal.
  20. A beautiful Shabad, Simran Pen Jee. Thanks for it. Sat Sree Akal.
  21. A blissful Shabad, in a melodious voice. Sat Sree Akal.
  22. First of all, I do not call anyone with any name as I want, rather as he/she is already known by everyone else. Mahapurukh literally means, a great personality (maha = great + purukh = person) for whatever reason, not necessarily someone who has realized the Supreme Truth. Why so much fuss and noise about this Swami, nobody is saying He is a Gurmukh, which probably you think he is presented as such. I just found a nice phrase of his, which I felt like sharing with the sangat, that´s it. How many millions are there out, and know nothing about Shabad Guru as you say, but still they are good, and great personalities in some fields. On the other side, I know there are amritdharis, who talk about Guru Jee or Shabad Guru, but are worse then the devil himself. So, knowing or parroting is one thing, and to put into practice the highest ideals of sikhee is something different, that of reaching, and becoming one with Him, through Bhajan Bandagee alone and His Grace, hand by hand. Once again I am going to reproduce Swami Vivekanada´s words below : What does one get by prayer? I gained nothing. In fact I lost anger, depression, jealousy, irritation & insecurity. Nowhere is he telling nor inducing anyone to pray this deity, god or any other entity, rather he is inspiring everyone to pray truly, for with that, one gets rid of the dirty heavy vikaars, just as anger, jealousy, irritation and insecurity.... that also, he is not saying it theoretically, but from his own personal experience. Now to whom one prays, or how one prays, that is all up to each person´s personal beliefs. If one is a hindu, one will pray to the hindu gods; if one is a muslim, one will pray to Allah; if a christian, to Christ/god, if a sikh, to Wahiguru or SGGSM... He is not presurrizing anyone to pray to someone in particular. See goodness where it is, in the human beings, in nature, it costs nothing.... Nobody chooses by himself/herself to be a sikh, hindu, muslim, christian or a budhist... everyone acts, or plays the role assigned under His Hukum, and nobody can go against it, rather follow it. So, if we are sikhs in this present birth, and realize how blessed or privilged we are in being so, we should thank Him for that from the very bottom of our hearts, that, Oh Sachay Patshah, from all the infinite creation, you have had a glance of mercy on a foolish manmukh like me? To pull me out, and blend me with You. Who can understand your beant wadeeayee? With what words can I sing Your glory, Sachay Patshah? Sat Sree Akal.
  23. Hearty lakh lakh wadayeean, to all gursikh brothers and sisters, wherever they maybe, on this special day of gurpurub. Sat Sree Akal.
