  1. Please do not feel embarrased at all in asking questions, do not care about what others may think, or about their judgments, as each person has a different consciousness level, plus your questions are quite normal, so relax. You see, as long there is sincereity in the questions(which I perceive in them), means, one has no double intentions, anybody is most welcome. Well, going to your question about how Naam japna, cleanses all dirt just as mentioned by you above : ills, weaknesses or imprints, karmas in general , etc First of all, there are no impure souls, all souls are pure, it is the minds, which are bad and need the cleansing with the soap of Naam. And in simple words I would say, dirt is like darkness, and Naam is the source of all Light. It has so much brlliance, that even billions upon billions of suns and moons joined together, shall be like a candle light in comparison to the Sun´s light In this sense, Naam Japna, is like opening the windows of our rooms to the sunshine, first a single ray of sun enters inside, and the darkness starts dispelling automatically, until the window is fully open, and the room is full of light. In a similar way, our Naam japna, is like walking towards the Source of all Light, Wahiguru Akal Purukh. The nearer we go towards that Light, the lesser and lesser become the layers of darkness upon our minds, until in due time, with His unlimited Grace, they are removed totally. God bless you. Sat Sree Akal.
  2. I am very sorry to think about all this barbarism happening, that the noble and gentle, irrespective of caste color or creed, in the world, shall loose their patience and start behaving as beasts also, just as them. Unless they suffer the same, they will never know, what is giving pain to the innocents. Enough of being stupid, and seeing how today, tomorrow, here and there, our people are being massacred; let us not think, they are against whites or brownies, or some others, tomorrow could be our turn, or of our near and dear ones, then what? So let us not take that so lightly, and look other side, that is not wise.... They should be wiped out from the surface. Knowing their way of acting in this horrendous way, we have to be always one step forward, otherwise we are at risk always. The intelligence agencies of different civilized countries have to act all as one team, to encounter these terrorists, for going against humanity. They are cowards, they attack and kill innocents. If they were that much brave, they should challenge, those trained and prepared like them, the defense forces, means equals in terms. Anyhow, the base of all this terrorism, is hatred, is racial discrimination...we should never ill treat anybody for the sake of color and religion. All that is occurring now, is due to the seeds of discrimination sown in the past. Who started first, that is not important now, let us save the future, and for that, everybody has to put down their arrogance and malice, and act as kind human beings. A pain given to someone due to any type of racism, is not healed so easily. Anything else can be forgiven, but not injustice and abuses... Let everybody sit down and start new fresh relations, it is not that hard, otherwise we are going to crack down this Earth Planet, the home of everyone of us... What benefit would be killing everyone, if the place to stay would be left as a hell to live for the remaining ones, though enemies. Utter madness....
  3. God bless you, for this your positive attitude, so that at sometime in your life you may act as per the teachings of Gurmat, not to please anyone or showoff, but to benefit your own soul alone. Sat Sree Akal
One who remembers the Lord in meditation, is emancipated; millions have been saved in this way. In this line above, Guru Jee is telling us something about how to acheive salvation once and forever in this human birth, if only, that is what we really want, otherwise the world is wide open for us to remain as much as possible in it. He says. remembering Him in meditation, by the Simran of His Naam, millions have been saved, and thus this is the eternal path for whosoever wishes so, there is no other way, neither was in the past, neither shall be in the future... if there was any other alternative, why would Guru Jee say: millions were saved in this way, which by itself is the highest, and unique path. It is for us moorakhs, to see how much we have understood the Bani... Sat Sree Akal.
  5. Sister, whatever I write is my sincere and personal point of view, at the best of my ability, it is no hard and fast rule, some may agree or disagree with it, and differ, but then, always see neutrally, if there is any sense or logic in what is being said, as that very rule I apply to myself, and it has helped me in many a times
  6. Sister, your sincere desire to see Sachay Patshah Wahiguru, is nothing much from your side, but a pull from Him. And when He pulls someone in that way with His love, one can not resist, and feels attracted to Him. Whether one wishes to do bhakti or not, it does not matter, there is no alternative to Bhakti, neither any short cut or substitue path, for cleaning ourselves, and in merging in Him. People according to their maanmat, do a lot of other things as substitues or replacement of bhakti, but, what do these poor people know lured by Maya and agyanta, that sadly in the end they have wasted their lives..... but then too, what can one do, if it is not written on one´s forehead to do that His real bhakti. Who can go against His Hukum? Do not get me wrong, not that He is being partial with some, it is all due to our own karam, since so many births. Those who have evolved to an extent spiritually, and have less weight of karam on their heads, are receptive to His Grace, and do the right bhakti, to get united with Him. His Grace is the same for all, without any distinction, it depends on how thick or thin are the layers of our karam / sins upon us, which, as said before, bring us closer to Him through His Grace, the remaining, still have to become better human beings, pay of their heavy karmas, get lighter and thus feel His grace and get benefitted from it. For example, there are some pieces of iron near a magnet at a same distance, they are all equally pulled by the magnet, but only, those with almost no rust , or less rust, shall get attracted first, the remaining, will have to wait until their rust get lessened with their own better karam; of course in the end, they too, will get attracted, but only later on. That is why, doing bhakti is important, but it is equally important, to be truthful, be a good human being first with moral life, in order not to collect more rust on us. About your desire to see Him, and not seeing yet; for that, do not expect to see with your physical eyes, but as Second Patshahee said: Akhaa bajoh vekhna, bin kanna sun na, paira bajoh chalna, bin hatha karna, jeeba bajoh bolna eyon jeevat marna ... You see Guru jee is telling usthat, we have to see Him without these physical eyes, we have to hear Him, without these ears, we have to go there without these feet, we have to do His bhakti without our hands, but with our surtee, we have to repeat His Naam, not with the tongue, but within the mind...he who lives in this world like that, is dead for the world, but very much alive, for that jeev atma, has attached himself/herself, with His Lotus Feet, and will get freed from the Chaurasee ka Chakar, from births and deaths, thus become eternal within Wahiguru. Sat Sree Akal.
  7. For sure Veer Jee, Go to the following website, it is quite complete, as per Author wise, by Ang, chapter wise, etc. : https://www.searchgurbani.com Then too, if any help needed come here, we have a lot of sewadar brothers and sisters, who can gladly aid you with some light on almost any view on SGGS and Sikhee. Sat Sree Akal.
  8. Scriptures describe us what was Wahiguru prior to this His manifestation. They tell us that, that Primal Supreme Being was absorbed in itself in His Shabad/Nam swaroop. Which school or university did Wahiguru go, to have the gyan/budh He has? Whatever He has and is, He got it from Naam. He is Naam, just to simplify. That is why there is aparampaar mahima of Naam in the Bani. Apart from the infinite gyan in Naam, it is also the true source of Truth - Sach, and Bliss-Anand. Moreover the Bani in Asaa dee Vaar says: Aapeennay Aap sajeeo, Aapeenay racheeyo Nao. He Himself created Himself; He Himself assumed His Name. And Wahiguru has no avarice to keep all this exclusively for himself, rather all benelovence and mercy; He says, come and dye in my Name, and I shall make you as My own self, not less, but same as like Me. You see with the gods, devis devtas, with our shub karam, at most, we reach their abode, enjoy a certain time there, and when our credit is finished, we fall into the chaurasee again. Thus we never become one with any one of them. But with our beloved Wahiguru that never happens, we as a drop, turn into the Infinite Ocean, Satnaam, We have nothing to loose, but gain, in becoming Him. That is His Beant wadeeayee. Sat Sree Akal.
  9. Of course, it will, as you are doing the right devotion and superior to anything else, as per Bani, which tells us beautifully: Prabh ka Simran, Gyan Dhyan Tat Budh I found some interesting matter on the net, which I totally agree with, and I am writing it below in italics, and share it with the sangat Naam Simran brings us Braham Gyan and Tat Gyan (highest level of Braham Gyan). We start to listen to GurBani and start to understand it from within. This motivates us to further adopt GurBani in our daily life. Our commitment and belief in the Guru, GurBani and Akal Purakh just keeps on enhancing. All kinds and means of worshipping the Almighty are contained within Naam Simran. This means that Naam Simran is the highest level of service of the Almighty. Serving like this we realize and establish inside our Hirda the fact that there is no one like the Almighty. That He is the Supreme Creator of the entire universe. We develop a total belief and commitment to the Almighty. The real pilgrimage is in doing Naam Simran. This pilgrimage takes place inside us, as we go through different spiritual stages. When we do Naam Simran in Samadhi we go through different stages of spirituality as described in Jap Ji, they are:- Dharam Khand, Gyan Khand, Saram Khand, Karam Khand and Sach Khand. When we do Naam Simran in Samadhi we actually see and experience Divinity through Puran Parkash, Guru Darshan, Sach Khand Darshan and so on. Sat Sree Akal.
  10. Pardesanbibbi Jee, I think that is not the root problem, the thing is, even if they believe God is watching them, but their maat/chit is not that spiritually developed to understand Gurmat in the right view, what can they do? Hardly nothing. Let us give them that grace mark. For example, a student is in the class, and sees that the teacher is looking at him, but that being conscious of the presence of the teacher will not provide him any knowledge, rather if that student pays attention to what the teacher explains and puts in the efforts by doing homework, without the physical presence of the teacher, then too, the student evolves in the studies and gradually step by step, his intellectual capacity is thus sharpened or refined to understand better and better, then only can he express as it should be. in our case also, if we do no real bhakti, irrespective of believing God is watching,we can never ever understand Gurmat in the right perspective Sat Sree Akal
  11. Some lines, in dedication to our beloved Guru Jee and Wahiguru Akal Purukh, though never enough. KOEE AAN MILAWE MERA PEETAM PYARA. HAU REHA NA SAKAA BIN DEKHEY PREETAMA. HUN KADH MILIAYE PRIYA TUDH BHAGWANT GURU MEREE POOJA, GURU GOBIND. Sat Sree Akal.
  12. Guru Purnima, for example is like a mother´s day, a father´s day, celebrated each year . It is celebrated once a year, by the disciples usually hindus, in remeberance of their spiritual gurus, mostly past. But then as several comunities may live together, and enjoin amicabally in each others´ celebrations, and others knowing us as sikh disciples of Guru Jee, think we would like to celebrate it with them, in the name of Guru Jee. For me, it is healthy having and keeping good relations with all other human beings, but, we know within, that our relation with Guru Jee, is not limited to any particular day, but rather by His Grace, it is a relation of 24/7 / 30/365. Others may look and respect us, and think we are like them in that sense, and invite us to celebrate with them that day as per tribute to our Guru Jee. Let them believe so, there is no harm in it. Let everyone be happy, as each one wants, as long as there are no hard and ill feelings. Only we know, what is the depth in our relation with Guru Jee. One thing I like from hindus is, as in comparison with other dharams, is that, they are cool and respect others beliefs, they even put our Guru Jees images in their houses as of their own gods as well. Sat Sree Akal.
  13. Insist, insist and insist....slowly and steady wins the race. Wahiguru, does not look at our results, as we are already failed, rather at our sincere efforts, and then He just extends His arm of Grace and helps us out. Sat Sree Akal.
  14. It is just normal what you say, and you are not at much fault. And that is because He is beyond the spheres of any intellect or mind. What to say about us, when even devis, devtas, gods, can not understand him. He is known, understood, and realized by His Grace (Gurparsad) alone, not by one´s capacity or efforts. First Patshahee tells us in Jap Ji Sahib : Sochay soch na hovaee, jeh sochay lakh vaar . One may think hundreds of thousands of times, and even then, one shall comprehend Him not. Sat Sree Akal.
  15. Well Pen Jee, become as a child again. For as a child, when learns to walk, fall down several times, but nevertheless, gets up again with faith and hope, for one day to be a champion in racing.... Sat Sree Akal.
  16. YOYO Jee, I have found this following link so far: But I hope to find more. What about getting the Guru Granth Sahib Maharaj in english translation? If that is good for the moment, I can suggest you some really nice links. Considere this option and let us know. It is not only to get in Urdu, which is quite difficult; but more than any language, it is more important to understand what Guru jee tells us, and then apply it in our daily lives, to feel His love, His warmth and His closeness. One thing is talking about sweets, other is really eating and enjoying them. By mere talking, one may get the desire to get and eat sweets, but the real experience is only when you eat sweets. 99.99 % of the humanity(including myself), talk of god as if they know Him, when the fact is they know nothing, they are much engaged and busy in their own mental perceptions, thus so much confussion. But then, that is also good to an extent. A stone´s condition in hot summer, is better if it is placed in the cool waters of a river, than it it is placed in an extremely hot desert. Slowly and slowly, that stone in the river, shall one day get dissolved( though it may take a very long time, it all depends on how truthful one is) by His grace, and become sand, menas looses his haume or ahankar/ego, once this is done, then, the path to Him, is very smooth. You see, though God is the craetor of all and everything, He is not a dictator, who wants to be worshipped by multitudes. according to our Guru Sahibans, His relation with us, is as of mother andd father, with their child, it is a relation of love, which starts always with Him. As said above, it is not fair, to accuse Him, only in our hard times and shamelessly forget Him in our good times. And just as in any relation, keeping relation with Him, means giving time to that relation, not with prayers, rituals, ceremonies, fastings, torturiing...or any other outer activities... You want to see Him, and talk to Him? Yes, yes, you can do that, but, for that you have to do something by yourself. There is no magic, you have to work for it. You see, atheltes, tarin for 5 to 8 hours daily to get a piece of metal.... And we, just want Him, without we doing the right jugtee, training? Our Guru Jee, in simple words tells us the secret to realize Him, to reveal Him nowhere outside but right within us, in His own made temple, where He resides permanently. You just have to take the key given by Him(not by any manmukh), and enter in His darbar. So, what is that key? The Bani says: Jin Har japeeya, se Har hoeeya. He who meditaes by repeating His Name, becomes one with Him. As simple as that. Now let us ask ourselves sincerely, how many of us follow this advice of our beloved Guru Jee? Maybe a handful among millions perhaps. Sat Sree Akal.
  17. I do not think any genius invented God, nor can any one do so. Just as, parents give birth to a child, a child can never give birth to its parents. It has to be like that, not otherwise. Then, one is free to believe what one wants, whether as a believer, or an atheist. No force should be put on any one. The thing is, we with our limitedness, we want God to be like a Superman, who comes and do heroic job for us, just as in the movies, where Superman arrived where needed. Why is that for many things we do not need Him, and do it by ourselves; and then for our dislikes, He just appears and solves the problems created by us. That is being unfair. You see, many talk of Him. Even the mads can talk about Him, but it shall always be nonsense. So,not because some ignorants fools use that concept of God, according to their dirty and filthy minds, with tehir talking power they brainwash the vast majority, who follow those religious leaders as cattle, not knowing they are being led to pitfall. Thus they waste away, their human birth for nothing better, rather they fall into the deepth of abysm. You see, He has given us intellect, or budh, the faculty of discrimination, to see what is good or bad, and if we do not use it, the fault is ours. We can not just deny His existence, just because, our limited and dull intelect, fails to understand the law of karma. I do not know whether you are a sikh or a hindu, or a christian, but if you go throughly for example the SGGS, which I recommend as a sikh, you can be atonished, as per how our Guru sahibans have described the Nature for us. You may read: Jap Ji sahib, Anand Sahib or Sukhmani Sahib, you will remain perplexed as per how in a simple language and full of logic, our beloved Guru sahibans, as well the Bhagat Janas, have explained us the reality of creation, God, and the spiritual matters, without any stain of maanmat, or fanatism.. You see, no matter how much evolved in the best of cases any religions, but if that is not practiced, rather outer aspects are given supreme importance over the real doing of Bhakti as per Gurmat for example, then the poison from the minds, can never be removed. Rather the vikaars of ego and anger, of haume and krodh, get fueled, and burn us with its poisonous effects. Then, who is to be blamed? We or Him? Of course we, because we do nothing to remove that poison from our filthy minds. The Bani says: Nimakh nimakh kar sareer kataveh, tou bhee haume mael na jaae. We do a lot of things like, bathing at holy wateres, we pray like parrots X number of times repeating it for so many hours, or days, even months, keep fasts, rituals, ceremonies,go for pilgrimages, etc etc etc The thing is, the malady is deep within and it is subtle, but we keep treating the surface, the exterior, so how come our moorakhta can be ever removed. And our Guru Jee, tells us: Prabh ka Simran, man kee mael jaae, and this neither we do, neither we pay attention, thus the wicked mind never gets weakend, and the 5 vikaars, keep us as prisoners in this mayavee creation. One thing we should keep in mind as a general rule, if we ever see any unjustices or atrocities being commited in name of any dharam, be sure, that, that is not the dharam of expounded to us by the highly spiritual beings; but of the wickedness of our ignorant filthy minds. Sat Sree Akal.
  18. Seeing so much religious fanatic horror in the world, which has been going on for a while, one just gets sickened and furious, and helpless at the same time. I just can not understand, how after any cruel attack, in their filthy minds, they can say, we have to wipe out the enemies of Allah .... What a big stupidity. How come if that Allah is god, and is supposingly formless at least for me, can he have any enemy? Who can have possibly have any enemity against something which can not be seen, nor reached? Is he so limited, that he fears, and orders some to go and kill in his name? Is his kingdom here on earth, where we are to stay forever? If he is god, and made us so, as we are, as sikhs, as christians, as jews, as hindus...or whites, blacks, brownies, then, in which way are we to be blamed, because, he has made each one of us so? Is he so imperfct, that there is some other god, who made the rest of the beings, and he is only related to islam or muslims .... then better he fight with the other gods, and see if he comes out winner Of course, I do not believe in all this, but it is the foolish and really mad people, who commit such horrible attrocties...be them of any race, color or creed. Really absurd !!!! Where has the common sense gone? If I was a muslim, and I was told all this preached rubbish, I would give them a big kick, because it has nothing of a minimum rationality. I wonder why, all are so brainwashed, and none has the guts to stand up, and say, enough of foolish stupidity. Just as the sun rises for all people without any distinction, so is the grace of God for all, give Him any name, that does not change His nature of being so lovable and merciful. For example, in our Bani, in the first begining, beautifullydescribes for us, the real values of God, who otherwise is unperceivable: Ikoankar: He is One. Satnam: He is Nam, and is eternal Karta Purukh: He is the doer of everything. Nirbhav : He is fearless, He fears none. Nirvair: He has enimity with none Akal Moorat: His existence is beyond time Ajoonee saibhang: He is birthless and deathless, and self supportive, depends on none Gurparsad Jap: He is realized by his Grace, by doing the Jap of His Nao. This is the real description of God, irrespective of, if one is a muslim, a hindu, a sikh or of any other dharma. Sat Sree Akal.
  19. Good question Bro. The thing is, it is easy to misinterpret, and they have no choice. And in this group, comes a vast majority. Right understanding comes from purity. And purity only comes from practicing Truth. Gurbani is so marvelous and wonderful, that even if a donkey(illiterate), practices Truth, he can turn out to be a scholar or a gyani, without even being able to write or read ... And practicing the Truth is not reciting anything X times, or even 24 hours non stop ....or Y days, or Z weeks .... As Truth is only one without any second, and thus practicing Truth, is doing the jaap of His Naam, as per Gurmat. Bhagat Kabir, was a weaver. Bhagat Ravi Das was a shoemaker. But we all know, they were Bhagats of the highest order. That much, that Wahiguru/Satnam, resided in them while they were on earth, of course, later they merged their consciousness in that Supreme Being Akal Purukh. Moreover, people from any walks of life, can become one with Wahiguru, if, only they practiced the truth as per Gurmat. The Bani says: Awar kaaj, tere kitte na kaam, mil Sadh Sangat, bhaj kewal Naam. Can you see, how in a line of few simple words, how much spiritual depth is there? While manmukhs can give lectures for hours and hours, without even coming an inch near the Truth, our Guru Jee, in a single short line, has simplified the path for us manmukhs. Now, inspite of this blessings from Guru Jee on us, we still do so many other things, thinking we are fulfilling our dharam, then, who is to be blamed? Naturally, we ourselves. There is no harm in doing them as we are human beings, but, we should never take them as substitutes for the Truth, as mentioned in the Bani, it does not matter, if we see large numbers doing so, for in the end, it is only the Truth practiced by us, as per Gurmat, that counts in His Darbar. Gurmat/Gurbani has no mistakes, if any, it is the pollution of our own minds. Our beloved Guru sahibans, are pure paviter, faultless. The full beautiful moon, has a dark mark; the Sun inspite of so much light has heat. But our Guru jee, has no mark, He is spotless, and He is all radiant without any heat; rather all coolness and with the scent of the Naam of Wahiguru. Sat Sree Akal.
  20. Religions create havoc and confussions, as usally they have done in the past, and keep doing yet today, this is inevitable. The intentions of Maya and Kal Purukh, is to keep running the mayavee creation with all the ups and downs, otherwise it will cease, which they do not want to happen. What others do, that is not that important, they are responsible for their own karmas. Let us worry for ourselves, each one of us. Let us peep sincerely within ourselves, and ask ourselves, do we do what the Bani tells us, to get out from this polluted creation: Awar kaaj tere kitte na kaam, mil sadh Sangat, bhaj kewal Naam. If we do not follow this much ourselves, we have no right to judge others. Let us try to reform ourselves, first. Moreover, only those go to Him, on whose forehead He has written so in their destiny. Aap jaapay, japeeye so Nao. Sikhee/Gurmat is not a religion, rather is a direct highway to Wahiguru. Sat Sree Akal.
  21. Pen Jee, very sorry for your bad experiences, wished, that rascal got a good whipping for being so demoniac. There is not much I can tell you, but I will answer your two lines below Sat Sree Akal.
  22. Simran Pen Jee, whatever we say or explain, there has to be a logic in it. And true sense or logic, can be had by going through the very Bani, in a ample sense. Somewhere we read something, and we may not be sure about it, but if we keep that in mind, and go thoroughly the Bani as said before, for sure we shall find the answers to our doubts. The level of truths mentioned in the Bani are of the highest, as they are the very expressions of these Guru Sahibans and Bhagat Jan, and experiences/knowledge of first hand, and on the other side, it is we the lowly minded manmukhs, who hardly understand and agree among ourselves... The Bani is so high and pure, that to have even a glimpse of the real meaning what is said, it may take us quite a few years. For example my self, what I understand from the Bani today, has nothing to do with what I understood about, more than 4 decades, when i was in my early teens. Of course, there is another way to speed that understanding and savoring the Anand from the Bani, and that is to rub our dirty minds, against the cleanser of Naam, through bhajan bandagee/simran, then as we gradually gain purity, we start seeing the marvelous Bani from a better position, until it becomes crystal clear one day. I have seen lecturers and so called gyanis, misinterpreting the pure paviter Bani, it is not their fault that much, what can one do, if one does not bathe in the amrit of the wonderful Naam. As said several times, Gurmat is not about talking big, but rather about putting into practice the message of our Guru Sahibans, which is Wahiguru and all spiritual wealth is inside you, and for you, so go inside as per instructions in Gurmat, and have your piece of cake, which nobody can snatch from you, it is for you. That cake which satisfies all our hunger for the maya, the vikaars for once and forever, and that spiritual wealth, is none other than Naam; is also known as Shabad, which is same as Wahiguru, who is nowhere outside, but right within us. Sat Sree Akal.
