if ur saying is true care to explain why no one from any other martial arts survived in the ufc in the 90's, thanks to the ufc once again through competition we got to see what works and what doesn't, ninjitsu failed, 90% of the martial arts out their failed, why you think ufc was started in the 90's with only like 3 rules, it was to see which martial art worked the best and lets not forget about pride were you had less ruled then ufc, you could stomp on a guys head in pride, all these other martial arts failed these guys got raped in pride

another thing WHY ARE SOME OF YOU TO SCARED TO TRAIN WITH NON SIKHS, don't get into the sport of mma if your to scared to train with anyone else, plus get into the best gym with the best trainers cause their our mma schools out their that our just waste of time and money, join an mma school that has fighters competing profesionally, ppl with experience, im lucky i get to train out of a gym with guys from strikeforce k1 an ex pride fighter and some king of the cage fighters, go find the best gym and do your research

their's things we learn in mma that we can't use in competition do to regulations, trust me you don't know smack if your going to try judging mma and tell me this is that why no ninjitsu fighter or kung fu artist or aikido artist an all the other martial arts failed in the ufc in the 90's, the ufc has to have rules to make it a sport and not street fighting, mma is a sport but their things you learn in mma that you can't use in competition cause otherwise the sport of mma would be banned, ufc needs rules or it woudl be banned, look at how hard ufc had to fight to get regulated in bc dude you can say what ever you like, in the 90's most these martial arts failed in the ufc for a reason, mma and krav mega are the most modern and effective styles of fighting for today's world mma has evolved more in past 10 years then martial arts have in past 2000 years, if these kung fu masters didn't survive in 90's they'll definitily not last longer then 20 seconds in the octogan thats a fact

krav mega is for street fighting its what the isreali army uses every day when on patrol, its for modern day combat dude i train in mma and one of my close friends who inspires me to train including others i train with have taken up jobs as bouncers were they deal with drunks and guys on coke and other drugs and weapons, i saw my buddy whose a 140 pound doorman put a guy who was itleast 290 pounds through a table head first, just messed him up, alot of nightclubs now arnt' hiring big steroid monkey's alot of them our hiring guys out of mma gyms to be doormen now, cause big steroid monkey's only have size were as these guys who train out of mma gyms and compete can drop anyone cause they train every day in true combat and no its not a myth pushed on students, thanks to ufc and other mma organisations we got to see what worked and what didn't in the 90's were you saw kung fu world champions getting destroyed by ncaa wrestlers and by ninja 6th degree getting killed by muay thai fighters, thats how mma evolved and why mma consists of muay thai boxing ji jitsu wrestling judo but kung fu and ninjitsu and this other stuff doesn't work in a street fight thats true

take up some boxing and mma surround yourself in that environment of guys who push their body passed its limits everyday physically and adopt their mind sets and grow mentally tougher day by day, cause you'll have ppl holding you accountable and they'll help you progress most 15 year olds have hard time motivating themselves in the gym their excited first two weeks then stop going and continue to eat what ever and get lazy, join an mma gym or boxing gym their your in an environment were you have profesional fighters motivating you and you'll grow mentally and physically

Yeh I agree, MMA is better than many commercialised martial arts...but MMA itself is watered down...many moves and strikes are banned in UFC it's goverened by too many rules. - Small Joint manipulation is banned. - Strikes to groin, eyes are banned. - Striking to the back when on the ground is banned, On the streets nothing is banned, anything goes...all the banned strike places "vvital points/kill points" are the bread and butter primary strike points of all real martial/battlefield arts.. those strkes and moves you talk about that our banned in competition are still tought in the facility's, were i train their's things they teach us that we can't use in competition as far as im concerned i place mma as the best combat out their fist to fist which is muay thai ji jitsu wrestling judo boxing, and for weapons street fighting i pick krav mega which is used by isreali army everyday mma is the only combat sport that is constantly evolving as new strategy's evolve thats why we don't see world champions last more then a year unless its anderson silva and george st pierre cause the sport is evolving and new strategy's our comming out, mma has evolved more in past ten years then any other martial art has in the passed 2000 years

no offence if anyone knows what their talking about they know traditional martial arts like kung fu would get killed in a mma ring, right now im training in mma and ive taken kung fu as a kid, im not going to say all traditional martial arts our a waste of time cause you do learn something that you can apply like 5%, thats why the traditional martial artist got killed in the ufc in the early stages in the 90's and ppl of backgrounds in ji jitsu wrestling muay thai judo came out on top,thats why mma wrestling judo ji jitsu muay thai boxing

you can get protein shakes and myoplex if you our vegetarian, train in mma muay thai ji jitsu boxing wrestling judo and they'll help you get into shape, if you dont want to take up mma here's a great book with a great program i used to get into shape bodyforlife you can go to the website bodyforlife.com

i know alot of sikh parants put their kids into other martial arts like kung fu and stuff, how can we get the message out to these parants that these martial arts are usually only good if your kid wants to be a movie star and rather then wasting time and money on kung fu and stuff they should put their kids into mixed martial arts schools were they can train in muay thai boxing ji jitsu wrestling judo things that really work ive taken kung fu when i was a kid and that stuff will get me killed in a street fight if i ever tried using it, its only good for show and if we can take these kids put in these other martial arts and get them put into mma i think that would have a huge impact and we'd start seeing alot more role models makign their way up and seeing them on tv

great leaders inspire others and ignite fires in others belly's and today we dont' have much of that in our community,real leaders are ambitous confident ppl with a fire in them so that inspires others and makes others believe

personally i know as sikhs were spose to be in shape and trainned in combat, 2-300 years ago all the sikhs trained in combat from a young age and personally i think we should be seeing more sikhs in sports like mixed martial arts as well better then seeing so many kids trying to act gangster their few sikhs who take up mma in their local gym and 4 profesional fighters out their but how can we get more sikhs into this sport sikhs once dominated field hockey india use to have the dream team for field hockey with 90% of the players from punjab, how can we become the dream team in mma

i need to be more clearn when i say we reached our peak i mean 1839 was our peak as in when we were the most powerfull under ranjit singh after that we never reached that peak again but i believe to reach that peak and go beyond it sikhs need to be lions and leaders in every aspect of life from govt to buisness to medicine to army to sports how can we reach the top using sikh principles and inspire other sikhs using sikh principles and create a whole community of leaders who lead in politics/govt - example having a proper sikh lead in govt who stands up against corruption and does what is morally right buisness sports army medicine

i believe for sikhs the peak of our power and strength came 1839 and after that we bin going downhill since as a community how can we become a community filled with leaders and soldiers in each aspect of life from buisness medicine politics sports army and so on

if this girl got picked up by a guy 10 years older then her when she was 15 off of facebook, off the internet, by a guy from pakistan, chances our this girl had some low self esteem/confidence and this guy gave her the attention and recognition that made her fall for him hence why i said in the other thread its extremely important for sikh parants to raise their daughters with high self esteem/confidence its a great video/audio to play across the gurdwaras in england and canada and america but if your going to play the audio you also have to provide solutions to this problem, cause in england its bin 20 years that sikhs have bin complaining about girls running off with muslims while its begun in canada with so many muslims moving into canada and yet so many parants know about this yet no solution, so rather then just focusing on the problem sikhs have to focus on the solution to solve the problem, and you have to get to the core of the problem to provide a solution father brother build up daughter/sister self esteem/confidence father brother mother keep open relationship were they can talk about anything so they can direct daughter/sister in right direction rather then trying to order her around, cause parants who order their daughters around get daughters who rebell father mother need to educate daughter son on sikh history and sikh religion father mother must treat and love son and daughter equally rather then favor boy father brother mother must build a very close relationship and spend as much time together as possible and make the daughter/sister feel extremely loved by the family if sikh parants did these simple things problem solved

i hate the insecure idiots who say girls dont' like sardars, especially when i hear this at school or the gurdwara, cause i know many sardars who get girls, reason being cause their confident and ambitous, confidence attracts ppl, confidence and ambition is what makes a person a leader its what gives ppl charisma, and i know many singhs who have this who can get girls, and i know gursikhs who are confidence and ambitous who if they wanted to can get some of the hottest girls out their girls arn't attracted to singhs who are insecure girls arn't attracted to gursikhs who are insecure and sadly their to many singh's and gursikhs who are insecure, and its funny the singh's and gursikhs who are confidence our friends with everyone thier pretty popular and ppl love being around them, then you have the insecure singhs and gursikhs who usually hang out in their own clicks and assume girls just don't like them cause they have a turbon, and these guys try acting hardcore religous while judging others cause their so insecure ppl our most attracted to ppl with charisma, ppl with charisma can get the most girls and our the most popular and most influental ppl, and ppl follow them and charisma is a by product of confidence and ambition so i hope all the cry baby's who say its cause im a sardar girls dont' like me get the message that its not cause of their appearance but cause the way they think that causes girls to run away from them ppl our most attracted to ppl with charisma, ppl with charisma can get the most girls and our the most popular and most influental ppl, and ppl follow them and charisma is a by product of confidence and ambition so i hope all the cry baby's who say its cause im a sardar girls dont' like me get the message that its not cause of their appearance but cause the way they think that causes girls to run away from them

In urban India a lot of sikh families treat their daughters as princess.Yet many of these Girls end up marrying in Non sikh homes.Despite so much love from their brothers and fathers they hate sikh image of turban and beard from their heart.Is their any answer why they do that? in the major city's in india they either treat their daughters second class citizens or spoil the daylights on of them thats why i said a father and brother must build a close relationship with open communication, you can't just order the daughter/sister around and tell her what she can or can't do cause then they will rebell against their brother and father, but with open communication you can guide them, and a father rather then working as much as he can to buy the biggest possible house and nicest cars to show off, he should rather invest that time in his daughter building her self esteem, morals, and educating her on sikhi and sikh history, and the brother rather then ignoring his sister should also take time and invest it in his sister and have open communication build her confidence and build or morals up and at the gurdwaras 95% of gurdwaras suck at educating sikh youth on sikhi, kids get bored and hence why so many sikh youth don't go to the gurdwara or go once in a while their some great khalsa camps now comming up but the once i went to were boring and most kids just got angry being forced to go to these camps, don't just make a kid get up early in the mournign and have them doing keertan when they rather watch cartoons, you have to make educating sikhs on sikhi fun, and educate them on how to use sikhi to build their self esteem and apply it in their lives, and educate them on our history cause damn is our history inspirational an you can't just spoil the daughter cause your going to raise a paris hilton or daddy's lil <banned word filter activated> and family's who think by spoiling their daughter and son would make them good our just idiots

i think the solution to the problem is easy 1. no more favoring boys over girls, treat them and love them the same 2. punjabis work 18 hours a day trying to buy the biggest house and nicest car to show off to their neibours to try boosting their egos, they should instead forget about trying to show off to others and spend time with their children, teach them good morals, and to build a close relationship with their children were their kids can talk to them about anything and the parants can guide them in the right direction, and not force their kids to do what they want but rather have open communication, educate them on sikhi or have programs in the gurdwara that inspire youth to learn sikhi (their our programs for youth to learn sikhi in the gurdwaras but their usually boring and just involve lecturing, we need some exciting teachers who can teach the youth sikhi) 3. i believe a father/brother, i believe a father/brother should build their daughters/sisters self esteem and confidence and build a close relationship and have open communication were they can talk about anything so they can guide them in the right direction, and don't try telling them what to do or they'll rebell but instead just communicate and guide them, and should be up to father/brotehr to teach their daughter/sister strong morals by doing this their is no way a sikh girl would do anything to hurt her family and if she has bin tought good morals and has high self esteem and has bin educated on sikh history and sikhi no way she would run away with a guy or do anything that could hurt her family
