  1. Taken from sikhawareness.com source: http://www.sachproductions.org/ The Widow Colony accesses the living conditions of the widows and the orphans, of the Delhi Pogroms of 1984, where thousands of Sikhs were brutally murdered with the help of the Government. The interviews with the widows reveal that even though they have learned to continue on with their livelihood, a large part of their psyche remains trapped in 1984. With their families torn and traumatized these widows and children live in a segregated ghetto of New Delhi, Tilak Vihar. They have been fighting for justice for 20 years and now their children fight with the problem of drugs and unemployment. The perpetrators of these crimes remain free, the victims remain forgotten Note: you will need real player to play these video files. 2. it also didnt affect anybodys sikhi when the narkdharis were stepping on saroops and doing other beadbi
  3. it also says kes as a kakkar, so should we say ..END OF STORY...for that too?
  4. yeah, i agree with that, but than where did terms like sehajdhari and stuff like that come from?
  5. so than you can also say that those who have not taken an "oath" are not really sikhs, but instead are in the process of becoming sikhs. But than where do you stop wioth who is a sikh? There are 52 of Guru GObind SIngh Ji's hukumnanas listed somewhere on the internet and in a lot of books. Does a sikh have to follow all 52 of these hukams as well? Are you not a sikh if you dont follow all of the hukams of the guru?
  6. Hukmai ander sabh ko, bar hukam na koi this tuk is referring to how everything that happens is happening under vahegurus will, its not about accepting guru's hukum. But for the thing about sinners. If you look at the tuk from dasam granth that was being referred to in the other post, it says nisani sikhee ee panj harf asat kaaf notice it says SIkh not khalsa or amritdhari or anything like that. GUru GObind Singh Ji clearly says all sikhs should follow the rehit being told in that tuk. So, anyone that considers themselves a true sikh should be adhering to those rules. Today it seems only amritdhari sikhs follow these rules, so would that mean that the only true sikhs these days are amritdharis?
  7. just play "telephone" if you dont believe shaheed
  8. your 2nd quote is from the puranas, wats it have to do with sikhi?
  9. gupt dassan daas, assuming that Guru Gobind SIngh Ji had more than 1 wife, did all the sahibzadey come from 1 wife, and did guru gobind singh ji re-marry after 1 of the wives died, or was guru gobind Singh Ji married to more than 1 wife at 1 time (not including Mata Sahib Kaur, who was just a "spiritual wife"). also, you keep referencing stuff from historical books, but you dont know for certain if these books are even 100% true, even sooraj prakash says that guru gobind singh ji pierced his ears and that raag mala isnt bani, do you believe that? Both of those things would go against what all the sants of DDT and rara sahib say, and nihangs even say that that is false. So just cuz a historical book says something, doesnt make it true. and for you refrencing stuff to mahan kosh, look at when that was written, WAYY after the times of guru gobind singh Ji, how did the author know all this stufff? Where did he get his info from?
  10. :TH: :TH: where are these translations from, are they the same ones as in sridasam.org?
  11. im not sure about this but doesnt abni say that when one jug changes to another there are huge natural/environmental changes as well, atleast this is what i've heard. In that case mabye all records of previous jugs were wiped in an an iceageor comet or something and all that modern science is looking at with evolution is just kaljug. And also since no one knows when satyug really was how do we really know that these mandirs are really from satyug? EIther way tho, i htink this discussion is useless, doesnt bani say that countless people waste their times trying to discover how god does stuff, and how the world came about and stuff like that, but no one can ever come close to realising any of these things? My advice would be stop worrying abou t useless things which doesnt affect us at all, and spend your time on more useful things
  12. thats not the same thing, i think the one i posted before is from either a rehitnama or mabye bhai nand lal ji's writings. I just want to know which one
  13. it doesnt look to me like niddar singh dropped the soti, its looks like teji took niddars soti, so niddar had no choice but to tackle him, and when niddar tryed tackling him the soti came out of tejis hand
  14. Does anyone know where this is from? gursikh rehit suno merae meet prabathae uth kar hat cheet waheguroo pun mantar su jaap kari ishnaan parai jap jaap
  15. sikh heritage, im pretty sure thats a site made by naamdharis
  16. im pretty sure the spellings today, arent the way they were when the gurus had the saroops written, i know for sure that gutkas have different spellings, an im pretty sure that purataan saroops did have any bindhis in them.
  17. didnt anyone else notice the mom bowing to pictures?? and to sissy, each guru spread the same message, all 10 human gurus and guru granth sahib ji are the same, and all have the same message.
  18. VJKK VJKF I would advise you to get sanchees/pothis at your house. Having Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at your house will prove to be a huge responsibility. IMO, your house should be treated much more like a gurdwara if you have Guru Granth Sahib Ji at your house. So i would assume this would mean, sukhasan early in the morning, karah prashad made everyday, langar for all the meals, if you have langar, you should also be sittting on the ground for all the meals, rehrass sahib in the evening, kirtan sohila and sukhasan in the night. Your also going to have to make sure no alcohol, eggs, meat or anything like that enters your house. Your house should also be kept very clean, especially the room GUru Granth Sahib Ji stays is. There is still probably so many things that i misssed. But you can see what i am getting at. I would advise you to get senchiean/pothis, the seva that you must do to have guru Ji at your house will become a huge responsibility, especially with you not being home everyday. Mabye you should do 1 sehaj paath at your house when you and your family are free for a week or 2 and see how much work it really is to run your house like a gurdwara for even a week or 2, with your whole family helping out. But if you feel comftroble with doing the seva, than i guess, go ahead and bring guru granth sahib ji home and yeah, nidhi, thats is pure beadbi, you should probably let a local gurdwara take that saroop from your house.
  19. My reply was made specificalloy made to this point you made, you are entitled to your opinion, and you can wear red and green if you think there is nothing wrong with it. But dont say that another gursikh would never say this, and you are disrespecting so many great gursikhs by saying this. Just because something doesnt fit your opinion, doesnt make it wrong.
  20. i dont know about you guys, but i would rather not argue with someone like sant gyani gurbachan singh ji, who could do katha of over 100 meanings of Ik Oankaar, 52 of mool mantar, and who knows how many countless other things.
  21. Sorry no one has the knowledge that you have, but since this is part of taksal maryada, i would assume Sant gyani Gurbachan Singh, Sant baba Kartar Singh Jim and Sant baba Jarnail Singh Ji would have followed this. If they are not gursikhs, i dont know anyone that is. By the way, it is written clearly by Bhai Nand Lal Ji that Guru GObind Singh Ji told him anyone who wears red is a tankhiya. Also, im pretty sure nothing about this is written in dasam granth
