  1. Who edited my post? I didn't break any rules. Besides, couple people here agree with my post. God damn, I am sick of this s.hit. :D
  2. They make those kinds of music because that is where the money is at. I doubt many people would buy religious albums.
  3. I know what a chav is, but many Canadians don't. I got couple of British friends here in Toronto that I chill with and watch "footie" (soccer) with. They told me about the whole chav thing to me.
  4. Wow! Hindus support khalistan? Are these Indian/Punjabi Hindus? I have a hard time believing this.
  5. Very interesting.... Though, there aren't a lot of Sikhs in UK, right? About half a million apparently. That is more than Canada I believe. Anyway, what are the sikh areas in the UK? Here in Canada, most sikh areas has somewhat a high crime rate. I hope that isn't the same case with UK sikh areas. I seriously need to go to England and check out these areas. LOL
  6. If you think Canadian/UK singhs are bad, then you should see some of American sikhs (especially the ones from Queens,New York and Bay Area California). A lot of them use the "N" word.
  7. High school, you can find majority of Singhs (60-80%) that love to dress in baggy clothes and talk like they're from the ghetto. What are the main slang words they use? Here's a list: - "yo" - "b" - "safe" - "what's good" - "naw/nah" - "ez" There are more terms, but the one on the list is the main slang words I hear from these kids.
  8. I know but these guys seemed semi illiterate. What is this, some sort of ID crisis? wha u mean ID crisis? the way u speak/act/dress usually is determined by where n how u grow up... i speak slang.. i dress baggy... tha's how i was raised.. tha's how i lived... it doesn't make me less of a singh or a sikh then the next guy.. i's nah an identity crisis... i's who they are.. diff parts of the world there are diff cultures/lifestyles etc... can't expect everybody to be the same.. Yeah but, a lot of these singhs in Toronto aren't even from the ghetto. They weren't raised in that kind of environment. It is just weird to see them adopt a culture that they can't really relate to.
  9. do some research in gurbani, the answer to that question will be very very clear! in fact no need for extensive research, just take 5/10 random shabads from sikhitothemax, im sure even that will answer this question. the answer is very obvious. If the answer is obvious then why do other people go? What am I meant to say when someone comes up to me and says oh but he is sikh and goes....... Also I know there are amritdhari's on this forum who do go....i was shocked cos I haven't had amrit....so i was wondering - do they take their kirpan off or something? And honestly I really wanna know why these people go cos I wanna understand.. They don't value Sikhi as much as they value of having fun????

  11. IMO, yes they will. I use to listen to a lot of rap music (I still listen to at times though) when I was younger. But now, I rarely listen to rap music (expect for some old skool rap songs) and start listening to other kinds of music.
  12. Anyway, there are so many of those type of Singhs here in Toronto. It isn't even funny at all. You can go to any random high school in Brampton to find these kind of singhs.
  13. Man, you UK sikhs have some issues. How about fighting your own battles without siding with any group instead?
  14. I don't think you want to part of that kind of environment if you're trying to be a Sikh. A lot of bad things go on in clubs.
  15. How about you ask that question to your amritdhari/keshdhari friends instead here?
  16. You can find plenty of those type of "Singhs" here in Canada as well. Too much hip-hop music is bad for ya health, son! :D

  19. Okay, who exactly criticize him to be a bad person? Yes, there are some people who criticize him not being a good Sikh (and consider him not being a Sikh at all), but I doubt they ever said he was a bad person in general. Heck, even some Pakistani Punjabis have a lot of respect for him.
