They all were called Paartha. All words from enlightened Gurus are understood from the listener according to his awakened mind. Paartha is a son of Pritha aka Kunti. All are born with the combination of earthly body and a little or a little more God's consciousness. It is only when Hari's consciousness joins the Paartha and drives his (chariot) Ratha, he is able to win the battle against Kaurava. Each word from Gurbani is conveying God's message. Harinder_Singh Jee, You seem to be the follower of the translation you have provided. The original Vaak is 'mrit svaan ant marant' ਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸ੍ਵਾਨ ਅੰਤ ਮਰੰਤ ॥੯॥ means a dead dog at the end dies. It is a deceitful practice to mix true Guru's Vaaks with false statements from other writers, in my view. May I ask if you belong to a different religion? True Gurus have not once suggested that Vaheguru is the Gurmantra. A true receiver sings the results of Naam. Preaching is a fake business (dhandhaa).
