umm..hold on...i dont see how 'phyiscal, alcohol, drug abuse etc' can be put with 'sikhi' this dont make no sense to me... if someone is a sikh...and has a sikh marriage...then why all this nonsense...? like i mean.. 2 sikhs= NO physical abuse, NO aclohol abuse, NO drug abuse, NO ABUSE whatsoever!!! so...the question: "is it allowed in sikhi" dont seem like the correct question.... :D and to the person who started the topic: sikhis view on divorce is WRONG...its a NO NO...its not looked upon by sikhs. and as ive said before... a divorce between 2 Gursikhs, i have yet to see

if God gives them beards, He also gives them the kes on their heads and stuff... so why do they cut the hair on their heads.... they make no sense sometimes.... and what abt the girls??? they cut their hair, die their hair, pluck their brows and so on... what abt that...

wait..i dont get it...what does the caste system have to do with a "sikh" deliberately cutting his/her hair, then later on blaming it on one(s) who had nothing to do with the hair-cutting decision?

how can this question come up between gursikhs...?? i mean. that would be pretty sad eh if a couples sikhi is strong, they will never go through this thing called divorce... lol..i have yet to see a divorce between 2 Gursikhs

sometimes when im just layin my head down or somethin (sleepin), i got my hood on...but i dont wear it when im like walkin or somethin like that...i mean theres no use in that...but everyones diff right...own opinions etc... personally, i dont think it should be worn just when youre like walkin or soemthin like that...but as i said, i have it on sometimes when i got my head down/sleepin in school at lunch break...not sayin its right or wrong...i may be wrong..i normally am...lol and as the first person who posted said, the person saw nothin wrong in it...maybe some people dont know that its wrong....

kaliaa arent really tassels though. makes me think now :D cuz like tassels hang..they are composed of quite a number of little threads and you will NEVER see tassels on a CHOLAA!! on a Chola, there are separate peieces of cloths assorted right beside each other, and they are sewed together from the middle, and the middle part is whats known as a kali (ku-lee). but there is nothin hangin from the Chola, like for example a tassel.

it all karma init. everythin you recieve is karma... or maybe even things to make you stronger. for example..some think that if they lost their dreasest loved ones..they had bad karma right? but what if they were in good health? and they had a good home etc..? in this case, it may be looked as God makin the person stronger for more things to come in that persons life.. i dont know.. just my views.. peace...
