  1. Man, they threw flowers at Guru Nanak Dev Jis saroop to show love and devotion to a portrait of their master, whats the big deal? Whether you agree or not, please dont let your ignorance blind you enough to ignore THE BEAUTY of the sangat praising NIRANKAR in the most beautiful way - through utilizing the sadh-sangats spirit and love. On New Years Eve, the Hukunama at my local Gurdwara was a tukh from Bhagat Kabir Ji in which he spoke of nindah and the 'hell' which surrounds its possessor. Before I drive, I 'matha-dek' to Guru Nanak Dev Jis saroop (one which I have in my car) and if that means I have to face the wrath of nindaks like you, then so be it. As long as I leave with my head and spirit in tact, I’ll be fine. "Guru Nanak, Rakh Charna De Kol, Charna Di Mauj Bedi"
  2. When Sri Guru HarGobind Sahib Ji Maharaj was imprisoned by Janjahir (I think), Baba Buddah Ji and Bhai Gurdas Ji performed a marched protest with the Nishan Sahib, and this is the same Nishan Sahib that eventully went to the Sri Akal Thakth as Bhai Gurdas Ji was the first Jathedhar.
  3. OMG... they're asking Guru Nanak Dev Ji to keep them close to his charna, someone call the RSS immediately! lol.. <banned word filter activated>!
  4. so if one saroop gets "damaged" then you wont feel pain because you can just bring another saroop in their place (with the same knowledge)lately, i've seen one too many such threads that say that the physical aspect isn't important, its the knowledge i bow down to. n the same people will EVER bow down to a bhramgyani (who ofcourse have the same knoweldge). if we go down that route, soon we will begin to prakaash computer with guru granth sahib's bani our gurdwara's :D @ read history, it tell us how much respect guru arjan sahib ji gave to what you are refering to as a "book". guru samat bakhshey Woah... very well said!
  5. Do you EVER read any of them. The last one I saw was for a kabaddi tournament in PUNJAB in rememberance of Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj (Nanaksar) in which SIKH boys from 108 pinds would be honored and given money. Also, there was an all KESHDHARI kabaddi match between teams from Malwa, Doaba, and Majha not to mention an ALL KESHDHARI team from Punjab playing against a team from PAKISTAN! Next time, read the add and about a REAL SANT who blessed 750,000 people with Amrit in a little over ten years, his legacy is still continuing today. Ask yourself some questions, the first being, what HAVE YOU EVER GIVEN BACK to Punjab? Read the ad and see, <banned word filter activated>. Also, this is a SIKHI tournament that DOESNT accept money (READ THE AD AGAIN) and although it's being organized by a NANAKSARIA, some of the people attending include Baba Harnam Singh (head of Thaksal - who's probably your spiritual advisor - from the looks of your avatar), and many NIHUNG leaders from all over India. Daljit Bittu is also being honored at this event... dont be so ignorant man, give back before you run your mouth.
  6. a very nice and round number Are you being sarcastic or serious?
  7. Papi... haha, so true, so VERY true. I have no doubt about that, espically since Sri Hazoor speaks to me everyday through the Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj.
  8. Its actually 960 MILLION KHALSA...
  9. One of the things we were told during our amrit sanchar was that when this is done, it is important that only one 'slice' be made into the Degh with the Kirpan. More than one 'slice' we were told is not correct. If you're offering it to Guru Ji (and I'm assuming you're not doing it without complete faith that Guru Ji will accept the Degh) then you can't slice away because obviously, the assumption is that Guru Ji is blessing the food, and you wouldn't cut a peice of food while someone is reaching in to 'bless/eat' it. I hope this made sense.
  10. Vijaydeep... a lot of Guru Jis predictions have already come true from the Sau Sakhia (Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj and Baba Attar Singh Ji Maharaj are just two examples.) There's a pind called BASSAI in the Ludhiana district of Punjab where Kalgidhar Patshah gave a list of prophecies to a Muslim "King" at that time... if you're ever close to Jagraon, ask to visit Bassai and everything has been etched into the walls and has remained for close to 200 years. Anyway, I believe everything that you've said, and was just wondering HOW you calculated it would be 33 years. I have no doubts that we're in the final stages, but why do you believe it to be 33 years? Please let me know. Finally, 960 million KHALSA isn't possible UNLESS Guru Ji himself comes back.
  11. Personally, the SIKH REHIT maryada I follow would have to be the original maryada (at least before 1946 – before it got polluted by INTERPRETATIONS) – lets not forget how Bhai Gurdas Ji was the first Jathedhar of the Akal Thakth, and historically speaking, his opinion is one of the most revered in Sikh tradition (he did after all give us the ‘key’ to the Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj!) Anyway… follow what you know is right, I mean… the craze nowadays with people from all walks of life is to abandon meat due to its implications on our immune systems etc. Also, lets not forget how it is PROVEN that when an animal (humans included) is decapitated (even with a single blow) our muscles release toxins into our bloodstream which is clear evidence of suffering. I mean, if this wasnt the case, then we should be thankful to the ISLAMIC Fundamentalists who severed Daniel Pearls head off in Iraq, I mean… they didn’t put him through any pain by cutting off his head (right???) Yes SANGAT, please do excuse my sarcasm. Anyway, follow what you believe is right, personally, I am not a THAKSALI and never will be, however, I have to agree with a lot of their viewpoints and each of those are backed up with concrete facts (recitation of mool mantar, panj banis, meat issue, Sri Dasam Guru Granth etc) to name a few… So, do your research, and remember.. Sikhi is changing everyday, and we’re the newest Religion around, so there isn’t really any reason that justifies these changes made solely on the basis of personal convenience.
  12. Woah, thanks for sharing those pictures... I've only seen a few on AjitJalandhar.com and they weren't clear at all... Anyway, he truly is a role model as well as a mastermind... Apparantly, he was in charge of funding all the movement and he's supposedly responsible for the biggest heist in Indian history (the robbery of Ludhiana Bank)... He's fluent in English, and in many cases, that's his preferred means of communicating... Thats that... should be our GENERAL...
