  1. I got inspiration from The Sikh Way http://www.thesikhway.com Really cool projects, articles, seminars, camps and even radio. I never heard of the SEC, but then I saw what they did. It's like, they don't even make a big deal out of what they do. They aren't attention seekers which made me have real respect for them.
  2. The movie was from the Mughal point of view. Mainly the governer of Sirhind, who bricked the shote sahibzade. I saw it when I was young, the scene that mostly comes to mind is the Guru Ji's arrow ripping through the screen. Conceptually aimed at the governer, representing Banda Singh's attack on Sirhind.
  3. Yes, the west really has achieved...the objectification of women.
  4. Gursikh of Universe? And yet you think the Khalsa was initiated for the sole purpose of fighting mughals? Firstly, everything in Sikhi is from Nanak. All the Guru's after Him, merely put his philosophy and his teachings into physical form. Nanak started the Khalsa, Gobind Singh gave it a physical form. And it has nothing to do with fighting or being an army. It was the first to introduce the concept of equality among the human race, among other things. Hundreds of years before the west could even catch up to it. Infact, even today they do not have the perfect democratic representation for their people. Sikhi does. Why are you always focusing on the negativity of the world? In the world of hopelessness Guru Nanak brough the light. And he didn't force it down people's throats, so neither should we. Follow Nanak's teachings, that's all we need.
  5. First of all, there IS Parchaar. And it IS effective. Infact, it's great. If there wasn't, we would have no Sikhi left. Secondly, you all need to open your windows, your eyes and your mind. Take a look outside. There is so much positive parchaar going on, I'm amazed at how you can be so negative. Look at these guys, http://www.thesikhway.com These people are doing some phenomenal work. They even worked with the British Library to restore old birs which would otherwise end up rotting and wasted away. They've had seminars across the entire country. They are even with Amrit Bani Radio to bring a fun positive youth show, Hasundhiya Khelundhiya. They are just one example of the positive, fun parchaar that's going on. If anything is not working. It is you! The parchaar is there, you don't want to pay attention to it. How many listen to that show? How many went to the great seminars? No excuse. It was advertised well. It was just down to you not being bothered. I'm not targetting this to anyone directly, maybe to the people that are with negative thinking. Sikhi has no room for negativity. There has NEVER been a negative thought in Sikhi. Check out Amrit Bani - http://www.amritbani.com That youth show I listen to is on right now for another hour or so.
