Oh dear. When im saying banned i dont mean as in outright banned. People where told by the kharkoos NOT to play music at weddings. You may beg to differ but thats your problem not mine as i know it as fact. Anyway dont matter what i say as some of you can see only in one direction

Music was banned. Its not something i just made up. Kharkoos alive here in England will tell you the same and say it proudly. A lot depended on what area you was from and if you was prepared to risk it. The sharabi types will always be the same anywhere. Also why do you think all the top singers of that time started releasing Dharmik albums.

As for the singers of that time many had to change their style and songs. Manak saab and Dilshad Akhtar used to come to the UK to record their albums. I am related to a kharkoo who occasionally appears on Sikh and Sangat Tv. He was and still is of the type that is against any form of music unless its dharmik. Suppose it depends on your age group if you was around when these things happened

Your forgetting what happened to them. Music was banned but obviously it was upto people if they wished to follow or not. Seems like you all have a rose tinted view of what was happening.

Heard about the weddings. Also all music and dance was banned. Becharey the likes of Jazzy and co would of been skint.

It wasnt Tarlochan Singh that took Amrit it was Ambi Bilga. That was a few years ago too. Ambi was and maybe still is manager of Jazzy B in the UK. Also used to be a great dholi. As for Malkit im not directly involved in the industry but know plenty of people that are and trust me iv not heard one positive thing about the man. At first i was shocked because i used to love the old Golden Star but now its become just another thing.

Film still playing to big audiences in UK

I keep hearing on Sikh and Sangat channels that there are thousands of innocent Sikhs like Professor Bhullar Ji locked up in jail. If that is the case then a proper list of names should be drawn up. Does such a list exsist and if so it should be made available.

Just watched it and it truely was worth watching. Was a bit surprised to hear the two swear words in the film considering they cut the other ones out and they wernt needed in the context of the scenes but apart from that it was a good film which to those who never knew what happened in those days can finally see the truth. I was sitting behind a group of youngsters and heard them shouting whats the difference between a muslim tying a bomb to themselves and a Sikh doing the same as was shown in the film.

You are talking as if the Badal sarkar are becharey. They the same bread of dog if not worse than the others
