  1. You have to develop love for God and then do bhagti..... Prema+ bhagti = spiritual progress You have to cry and go mad in vairaag feeling sepereate from God The minimum prerequisites is Nirmal karam and amritvela and listening to Keertan Keertan is the easiest path for a novice to spirituality then do seva and simran at the same time this will clean the ego As ego diminishes love for God rises beginning from anus and rises up all the chakras Gurbani does refer to the Rising through all chakras and also says that entrance to the 10 door in itself isn't sachkhand From 10 door you have to pass through listening to wondrous music and ridhi sidhi ITS ALL EXPLAINED IN GURBANI SO STUDY IT AND ANYTHING YOU DONT UNDERSTAND LISTEN TO SANT GURBACHAN SINGH KATHA
  2. I remember once I stayed at a Gurdwara for 3 full days doing continous seva and doing Japji roul seva and Langar seva I ate little and slept little and didn't speak on the 3 day I experienced 10 gate open a little and I felt Amrit trickle into my mind and it was so blissful and I wanted to find a quiet place to sit in sunn samadhi but haumai (ego) quickly took me back down to default consciousness Boy I cried to get the avastha back but it never came back
  3. I think Sikhs should not prejudice gays they should be allowed to come to Gurdwara if you can place benches in the Darbar for disabled why are discriminating gays Akhand path maryada is only rehatvaan jeevani singhs can do....nowadays many amritdharee singhs are having regular sex life for pleasure That's equally as bad as gay culture of sex
  4. If I met a singh I say fateh to him. Then he says to me "I'm gay" I would still say Fateh if a persons sexual orientation is zoophilis then that is taking it to far and such a person would be classed as manmukh Incest is also completely unacceptable In fact in Gurmat there is no place for sex KAM KRODH SANG KABHEE NA BOHO ( never go near lust and anger) However Bhai gurdas gives allowance of marriage to one woman Kusreh (gays) have existed since beginning of time and traditionally in India live as a group and don't mix with society. The same is today in India but countries like UK gays mix in with the rest of society

  6. Alcohol is the worst of all intoxicants and I remember listening to sant Gurbachan singh katha in which he says drinking alcohol is a bajar paap
  7. Just out of interest has Akaal Takhat given any directives regarding homosexuals
  8. I'm Not saying Sikhi promotes going around having sex with males, what I'm saying is that certain people are born differently and we should not discriminate them
  9. chaupai pangtee is irrelevant to what I am saying that the avtars did exist 23 have already come and gone and I wou just like to express my opinion on homosexuality Sikhism is all inclusive and golden temple has 4 entrances signifying all have access to the Religion. It's greatly humanistic to show no prejudice towards someone who is disabled, or very disfigured or homosexual etc Gurbani it's written in the full shabad hum sabh ke sajan meaning to be friends with everyone or open to all therefore I hope the Sikh clergy can see this and not be prejudiced Sikhism is not prejudiced but sees all as equals
  10. But Sri Guru Gobind Singh says in Dasam Bani That the purpose of his writing is to inspire dharma yudh ....Dasam katha bhagaut ki bakhya kareh banaee, avar vaashna nahe prabh dharma yudh ke chaee Secondly why would Guru Jee spend so much time translating myths
  11. Jsingh no need to get gussa So your saying it is mythology but Aadi and Dasam Banis refer to the actual physical lifes of the avtars who existed once. So you're saying Gurbani is wrong and that 24 avtars is Hindu mythology
  12. Dasam Granth is a translation however you have failed to support your argument that a translation can be invalid just because it is translated Good topic so far..... Can anybody confirm my belief that nehklank and kalki refer to the Same Avtar I guess I should listen to kalki Avtar katha by Giani Pooran Singh student of Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji Maharaj on www Gurmat veechar
  13. But Hinduism has predicted 24 avtars and 23 came true so why wouldnt the 24 come true
  14. all i can say is dhan dhan sant gurbachan singh tereee vadee kamaiee
  15. As far as I as I Know kalki Avtar and nehklank Avtar refer to the same person Hinduism believe in 24 avtars of Vishnu that come to redeem the world The last Avtar to have come was Guatum Buddh the founder of Buddhism Sri Rama Chandra and Sri Krishna are also part of the 24 avtars there is mention of the 24 th Avtar in Islam aswell and he will be killed by a person known as mehr mehndi
  16. i havent got the time and personally am not impressed with this person R Montgomery Her wikipedia says she got some predicitions wrong...please just share any future predicitions you know since you know more than i do please please please
  17. You asked 2 questions: why is there suffering and why doesnt God do somehing about it. First Answer: - Gurbani says we humans and all other animals are lost in the whirlpool of 84 lakh transmigration cycle, and that we are all suffering very badly due to being seperated from God since the creation of this world. Its not just the puppy but all humans are suffering aswell. The only superiority of the human life is that it is a last chance to get out of the cycle of birth and death. Only by surrendering yourself and coming under the guidance of the Guru and following his teachings can we obtain happiness and end our (and others) suffering. Second Answer: - God has done something about suffering he came to the Earth many times as Prophets, Saints, Messiah etc and recently came as Guru Nanak in 1469AD. Today we have the living Guru a master who himself knows God and can get others there. God also created the law of karma so the person who killed the dog will surely suffer sometime
  18. It shouldnt get to you that means your Sikhi is poor aswell.....just ignore what you hear and see it all mayas dirty grime, rise above the challenge your Guru sat on a hot plate and had sand poured over him and never complained
  19. Taksal and Nihang Singh (Taksal is actually Nihang Jatha) Maryada is absolutely NO adulteration of Kesh that includes dying hair, perming hair, straightening, plucking, lazer treatment and anything else out there Infact kesh are very pyareh to Guru Ji
  20. Ruth Montgomery, who enjoyed great financial success via her prolific New Age writings, initially claimed to believe her mission on Earth was to educate the public regarding her views on life after death, which is common among spiritualists. However, she also studied reincarnation and came to believe that mental and physical illnesses often have their origins in past lives. Montgomery wrote of such things as birth marks indicating the possible sites of past life injuries, and commented that often children born with serious defects or illnesses are in fact re-paying debts incurred in previous existences. Montgomery was a believer in the existence of extraterrestrial contact, and claimed to have met non-human aliens on a number of occasions, particularly when she resided in Mexico in the 1970s. In one book she wrote of missing an opportunity to ride in a flying saucer, due to her husband enduring a minor illness at the time the offer of a ride was made by space aliens. With other like-minded mystics, Montgomery founded the Association for Past Life Research and Therapy. Her many books (channelled via automatic writing from her spirit guides) popularized spiritualist notions in public consciousness in the 1960s through the 1990s, and paved the way for what is now known as New Age religion. Montgomery is particularly noted for popularizing the walk-in theory whereby a person's soul can depart a hurt or anguished body and be replaced with a new soul to take over the body. She filled a book with an extensive list of present-day and historical individuals she said were examples of "walk-ins" and claimed several US Presidents were among this group. FROM WIKIPEDIA
  21. So whats the future then?? any predictions by her
  22. After the rise of Sant Jarnail Singh Bindranvale and the almost successful Sikh rights movement of the 80's, central government were never likely to put pro Sikh politicians in Punjab and the same goes for Manmohan Singh who held the top job in India for 8 years and never did a single thing for Sikh justice or the betterment of Punjab. Sikh Politics and clergy are controlled by central government hence the determination to not allow a picture of Sant Jarnail Singh in Amritsar Golden Temple and the honouring of Advani The irony is in the Punjabi people who are so dumbfounded and kept in the dark that they know nothing about this. If Badal does a stunt like creating a museum next to Kesgarh Sahib everyone says bale bale he is a good Sikh.
