    Yea thats how all the oldies in my fam pronounce it too ive noticed. Kuldeep manak does aswel, in his song, 'agg laake fookh du, london shehr nu", about udham singhs badla. My mum also says amritdhari as 'ambardhari'.

    Yea birmingham, derby, bradford/w.yorkshire and manchester r all mirpuri central, altho, ive always found mirpuris in bradford quite nice towards sikhs, my cousins live there n say they r ok too. But the birmingham 1s r absolute scum, every1 hates them, every1!

    My cousins mate is from gujjar khan, n hes a nice lad. I also had a mate from gujrat in college, he too was very nice n respectful. Ive also met taxi drivers who r from jhelum, n have found them to b kool and sound. Yea faisalabad (lyalpur), is the re-settlement place of jalandhar muslims who left during partition, hence speak exact same dialect as sikhs in uk, who r mostly from doaba. What u will notice is these places r all in w.panjab, n r genuine panjabis, unlike those imposters from scumpur. Im 100% certain had it been, 90% panjabis frm pakistan in uk, as opposed to the mirpuris/paharis, then u wouldnt see even a 10th of the trouble that community has caused. American n canadian pak communities r a testament to that. Heck even scottish paks r a testament to that.Regarding the potwari n pahari thing, well the 2 r near each other geographically, but i believe they r diffrnt from each other quite a lot.

    Khalsa ji, just found out, thanks to my dad, that the classic film of maula jatt, was copied, n i mean COPIED by east panjabis in the early 90s, the memorable scene of noori natt in prison that u shared n that classic line "naama aiya sohniyaaaa", was absolutley BUTCHERED by yograj singh, in the movie 'lalkara jatti da'. Very disappointed man. I mean i kno that maula jatt has been remade, due to it being pure class, but this takes the biscuit! Check the scene out man, mad disappointed. "naama aiya Sajnaa"???

    They r indeed janglee h@r@mis! Whats worse, is how theyve convinced every1 that theyre "kashmiris", loool, they r about as kashmiri as diego maradona. They r basically jammu-ites, who have captured the western part of jammu in india when the tribals invaded after partition. Then re-named the area "azad kashmir", yet the actual place frm which the name kashmir comes from, kashmir valley, is actually in india! Also they dont even have a language (which they think they do), just a dialect, pahari, which of all the panjabi dialects, is the worst sounding. Theyre r undoubtedly just northern hillbillies in salwars! The biggest shame of all, is, that this is the area from where, 1 of the greatest sikh generals came from, bhai Gurbax Singh aka Banda Singh Bahadur. He was from an area called poonch, which half of is in pakistan jammu (azad kashmir), n other half in india jammu. Most paks in uk r from mirpur in azad kashmir, the ones however in southern england, r mostly from neighbouring area of kotli. Other areas of poonch, muzzafarabad and bhimber r represented less in uk. All useless kaminey tho, which ever way u look at it. Theyre also very caste/brardari Obsessed, so much so, they marry their own cousins, to keep the properties/land within the family, n consequently have abundance of disabled kids.

    As u have just found out sikhiseeker is a male, and we have apologised to each other. Also since we r on the subject of disrespecting women, whats with bhatra women doin pardah/pulling their chunni fiercely infront of their faces, infront of ppl, which i saw in abundance at my mates wedding? I had to ask my thaiy ji, wats all this about. Very odd.

    Indeed i agree they r needed in certain aspects of work in panjab, which is y i mentioned not all r wrong'uns, but as i sed in my post, relatives back home dont have anything gud 2 say of them. Also the comparison with them, the dailymail and us, is incorrect i feel, the polish and e.europeans is who the posh middle class goreh dont like. Us asians have been here for 60+yrs, n that too from being invited here personally by the brits, the bhaiyeh have been flooded in panjab by the central govt to ruin the demographics for sikhs. Hopefully more of them will take amrit and become an important minority for our kaum.

    Yea paji, 100% r a problem. Chalo theyre not all wrong'uns, but overwhelming majority are. Not sure when ur last visit to panjab was, but mine was in 2013 feb, n all i heard frm relatives was "aaha saley bhaiyeh" this n "aaha saley bhaiyeh" that. It had been over a decade since i had visited panjab, prior to feb 2013, n panjab has completely changed, n relatives say they r bringin crimerate up, since bihar itself is the worst state in crappystan, n they r no strangers to crime. Obviously panjabis themselves r not exempt from this, but they have made a bad bad impact since coming over. They do the nasty kum that apnay wont do, alot r also rickshaw drivers, which is fair enough, but when u speak to ppl back home or nri's, result is all the same. My mate is from gujarat (baroda), n he says its the same in gujarat, they have same problems there aswel with biharis n jharkhand ppl.

    I see. Btw who r nanaksar? Are they the sikhs whose gurdwaray r called "nirmal kutiya johlah"? Or johlah waley sant aswel? Because they r who, my nana/nani took amrit from few decades back, n seem like an incredibly dedicated school within sikh community. I remember when sant gian singh used to come to the uk, his 3 gurdwaras that he opened (high wycombe, oldbury n bradford), he was always given upmost respect n time.
