  1. Why would I not do paath of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji's Bani?
  2. Please provide me with what Bir Ras is.
  3. This is your experience after reading Dasam Bani. Can you tell me what Bir ras is?
  4. Singh, you know well that I have been presenting Gurbani contemplation on this site for a very long time and I will continue to do so. With Guru Sahib kirpa many have learned from the contemplation. But let's not make gurpurab an excuse to not put up a link of a video exposing kamalroop Singh. Dhadrianwale, kamalroop Singh all belong to the same camp; abuse sikhi for financial gain. You know and I know hard work keeps a person humble and both of these guys don't have this quality. Both have hands softer than a baby's bottom. Lets expose both and others who betray the Guru Saroop. I know you mean good and so do I. Its not about groups. Always has been about Sikhi.
  5. Thank you for posting the video. This needs to be spread far and wide so other people don't be tricked by them pretending to be Sikhs of the Guru. Admin don't hide the truth about kamlroop Singh. If you want Sikhs to remember gurpurab, then shut down the site and only let Gurbani discussion tale place. Here is the link to kamlroop Singh misdeeds http://sikhissues.blogspot.ca/2017/12/kamalroop-singh-in-bana-cheats-on-wife.html?m=1
  6. Tie up your hair with a towel or other material that will absorb the excess of water from your hair. And you can do your nitnem.
  7. What is Bir Ras? From your post it shows you have felt it before.
  8. Kids need guidance. The orphanage is guiding them in the right direction by telling them to keep their hair uncut.
  9. Its a shame an amritdhari Singh didn't get engaged to an amritdhari kaur. I hope no one will put him on a pedestal.
  10. I'm sure you are speaking the truth. What reason would you have to make up such lies only to curse those who are following the Guru. Those amritdharis are always pretending; keep speaking your gospel.

    .

Why pick 80% out of the air. You should know it sounds more convincing to say 99%. I dont care for guppi. I know what he's about. But this attack on gianis in general is unwarranted. Keep in mind this poster has in the past strongly condemned the leadership role Punj Pyare may take if Sikhs were to get a sovereign state. Even in hypothetical situations he will not support punj Pyare. The khanda that many truck drivers have on their truck is a symbol of the Khalsa. But today the Monas have turned it into a symbol of a guy looking for sexual acts. Prostitutes look for the flower referring to the khanda and these guys will pay for sexual acts. Do you realize how damaging this is to the Khalsa Panth!
  12. Here is a response you wrote to another poster about the guys article: His point was what was quoted to you previously. Which makes what I said true, you don't follow your own rules. Also the very disagreement you are having with me. Makes you a person who doesn't follow his own rules. I will vigorously point this out because the argument you originally made is flawed and many people in the past have used it to their advantage against the Sikh sangat. Here it is: Gurbani having no ant does not mean Gurbani doesn't have a correct interpretation. Gurbani has no ant because the correct interpretation can go on for decades and centuries, and for infinity by the Gurmukhs who knows it. Yet they will never contradict what they said. Its called Naam. The different levels you speak of are an illusion of the mind tricking the 'self' into believing the 'self' knows what spiritual wisdom is. Perfect example of this illusion was Krishna because he thought he knew what truth was. He was drunk with ego and thought he had the solution. Any true beloved Sikh of the Guru finds many intrepretations/teekas bland because they don't represent the Gurbani Shabad. And they are especially bland when words meaning are changed to fit a person's belief system. You didn't know what that line was saying yourself. Once again I will quote back to you how confused you were on what one word meant. Only after my response to the above quoted post did you change your position and say, aarti on its own already includes lit candles and Bhai Gurdas ji didn't have to write it in the original line I provided of bhai Gurdas ji's. Why even begin to question what 'karke' means in a line of Bhai Gurdas ji's vaar, when you are convinced the word aarti includes lit candles. The line you provided did not present anything new to add or elaborate on. The word 'karke' didn't change the meaning because the word 'karke' simply means to read/sing. Gurbani uses this word to say, sing/read and since Bhai Gurdas ji is providing lessons from Gurbani it is only right to go by Gurbani. I find the bold part the most damaging to young minds that are still learning. Many pandits make this very argument on various concepts of Sikhi to add their manmat practices in. Let's take Charan pahul as an example. Bhai Gurdas ji writes the following. ਚਰਨ ਧੋਇ ਰਹਰਾਸਿ ਕਰਿ ਚਰਣਾਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਿਖਾਂ ਪੀਲਾਇਆ | Now if I was to take the bold as my way of behaving I would say Bhai Gurdas ji didn't only strictly say the feet of the Guru were washed; one could unambiguously assume that the accompanying ritual of sacrificing a goat to God, and to wash the Gurus feet in the blood went along with charan pahul, that it need no mention, hence me finding a different one to show that distinct possibility. Also everyone note how the word 'karke' comes in this line and it is referring to Rehras (Sahib)!!!!! According to my best friend mrdoaba, this means rehras Sahib was performed physically as opposed to being sung. I wonder how Rehras Sahib is done physically. Don't worry, MrDoaba will explain this for us. I guess this proves my original point of Bhai Gurdas ji Vaars need to be intrepreted correctly, otherwise we end up with flawed arguments trying to prove goat sacrifice and washing feet in blood is part of Sikhi. I could have remotely made up anything and said, since it doesn't strictly say only this can be done, we can add x, y, and z. Why are you writing Taksali? When you clearly know it was Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh ji who wrote not to light candles when doing aarti. Address him, who wrote it.
  13. This is what you wrote in this topic What happened to accepting all the different levels that Gurbani speaks to certain people here? as I said before. You want your irrational rule to apply to everyone else expect you and your group.
  14. I have said all interpretation must accurately state what has been said originally and that's a bad thing! In one of the previous post you wrote modern Sikhs as a slander and now you have written something against Naamdharis. Why direct negative comments toward these groups to slander them when, according to you Gurbani is subject to interpretation as it has many layers and speaks to different people on different levels. It speaks to the Naamdharis and "modern" Sikhs differently. Why don't you live by your words? Why did Nihangs kick out Darshan Ragi from the stage after he spoke about hemkund sahib. According to you these Nihangs were wrong for kicking out Darshan ragi who was speak about Sikh writing at his level. What you are saying, i, MrDoaba can say what interpretation is correct of Gurbani and Sikh writing but if anyone else does it and it goes against my made up practices, they are wrong and I will label them as modern Sikhs and naamdharis even though they say interpret Gurbani and Sikh writing as what has been written. Gurbani having no ant does not mean Gurbani doesn't have a correct interpretation. Gurbani has no ant because the correct interpretation can go on for decades and centuries, and for infinity by the Gurmukhs who knows it. Yet they will never contradict what they said. Its called Naam. I will respond to the rest when I have more time.
  15. when it comes to translating a person is to translate as what the original is saying and not as he see's fit. The latter is the wrong way of translating. If the definition of Aarti was implied from the beginning. When I provided the line of Bhai Gurdas ji, you should have said the candle lighting was implied and their was no need for you to go searching for a different line from Bhai Gurdas ji vaars. Since no other word in the first line I provided would have inferred anything on the word aarti as it clearly implies for you; candle lit aarti. If you had believed from the beginning aarti implied candle lit aarti, then you would have not questioned what ਕਰਿ means in the line you provided of Bhai Gurdas ji vaar. Let me remind you what you wrote: That's the worst comparison I have read. Chaur sahib can't be compared to aarti as you see it, with candles. Again you are making assumptions about the candles being part of aarti. Gurbani directly tells us to wave the chaur sahib over Guru Sahib. One of the Gurus waved the chaur sahib over the other Guru and carried water for him. This is specifically said in Gurbani. Yet in Gurbani there is no mention of aarti being done with lit candles or candles at all. Hence the two cannot be compared and you can't see the difference for some reason. If aarti was clear cut, a Gurmukh would not have had to write in a book to specifically say, do not light candles and do aarti. Bhai Gurdas ji would have been precise because he was writing about what the Gurus, Gurmukhs, and manmukh did. It is no mystery Bhai Gurdas ji vaars provide us with how Sikh practices were done. One example being how charan pahul was administered. Aarti is a very important Sikh practice and Bhai Gurdas ji would have not left it to ambiguous interpretations.
  16. You are making assumptions of one word ਕਰਿ. The translated punjabi you provide is adding in words. Bhai Gurdas ji says night and the punjabi translator assumed, at bed time. Also Bhai Gurdas ji does not even use the word read. This is being added and changing the meaning. The word ਕੀਰਤਿ is describing ਸੋਹਿਲਾ. ਰਾਤੀ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਸੋਹਿਲਾ ਕਰਿ ਆਰਤੀ ਪਰਸਾਦ ਵੰਡੰਦੇ। there is no mention of candles for aarti.
  17. Passed down from who though? That's what you have not even attempted to clarify. Bhai Gurdas ji vaar has the following to say: ਸੋਦਰੁ ਆਰਤੀ ਗਾਵੀਐ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਜਾਪੁ ਉਚਾਰਾ|| This tells us aarti was done by singing at the time of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji and Sri Guru Angad Dev ji. Had aarti been done by lighting candles, Bhai Gurdas ji would have stated this in the above vaar. In this vaar Bhai Gurdas ji also writes about Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji returning from his travels, giving Guruship to Sri Guru Angad Dev, Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji sons didn't obey Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji commands, and where ever Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji went the wisdom of Gurbani was spread.
  18. There is no oral tradition of aarti being done with candles before the 10 Gurus or Adi Granth. If such an oral tradition existed, one of the DamDami Taksal Jathedar's would not have spoken against it. Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh ji is one of the most learned kathavachaks in Gurbani and Sikh history related to Gurbani shabads.
  19. Since it has not been written and there is no oral tradition of aarti with candles has been done. We can safely say it was not done to the ten Gurus and Adi Granth Sahib. Chaur sahib was done and we have written and oral tradition dictating this for us. Also the Gurus gave permission to do Chaur Sahib. Also there is no written or oral tradition of the Gurus giving permission to start aarti with candles. Do you agree?
  20. Why did you avoid my question at the end? If you didn't see it, here it is again. Can you provide the same information for aarti being done with candles for anyone of the 10 Gurus or Adi Granth Sahib ji? I even made it bold so you might not miss it this time.
  21. Are you denying Bachittar Natak is the autobiography of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji?
  22. Chair sahib is done since the time of Parkash in the morning till Guru Granth Sahib ji goes to sachkhand. Some Gurdwaras don't because they don't have the sevadhars. The nihangs doing aarti with candles happens only during aarti. The two cannot be compared. They only can be compared if a person brings up the shabad in sohila sahib that speaks of both to say one cannot be done but the other can. Also chaur sahib has been done since Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji. This is well known and so is when the first Parkash of Aad Granth Sahib ji took place. Can you provide the same information for aarti being done with candles for anyone of the 10 Gurus or Aad Granth Sahib ji?
  23. There is nothing funny about misleading people. God is not defined by you. Gurbani has told us who God is.
  24. No Bani in Sri Dasam Granth Sahib ji says Chandi came to serve Guru Sahib in kalyug as Mata Sahib Kaur ji. There is no difference between your teachers who make up stories and the missionary teachers who make up stories.
