  1. Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh ji saying not to do aarti with candles is a valid point. He says to contemplate over aarti, read Gurbani and do kirtan. The Nihang Singh kathavachaks like Giani Sher Singh have immense respect for Sant ji's writings and katha. They have learned directly from them. Giani Sher Singh has said today the khalsa Panth is wearing the kirpan as a janeu (Brahman thread). Sant ji also says to keep a jot when Akhand Paath is happening. Before passing judgement on a Gurmukh. Listen and read what he has to say.
  2. Last pauri of Chandi Di Vaar says whoever sings this will not have to come back into the cycle of birth and death. The instructions are clear; to recite. No time limits no nothing. Dhan dhan is Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji who makes his Bani available to enjoy.
  3. Are you saying God sat in silence to discover who he is?
  4. In the first posts I wrote on this topic. Are you denying Gurbani says to sing Vaheguru's praise all day? I have already said what I wanted to say. For some reason you don't have the ability to comprehend the simple teaching of Gurbani i have clearly laid out numerous times. I don't need any assistance with understanding Gurbani can be read at any time and all day. You need further assistance for providing answers to my questions and out of frustration from not being able to answer my questions you lash out like blind follower. So go ask your scholars/ Guppi for help as the link you provided produced nothing to prove what you wanted too. We all know you are no expert but neither are you a student. A student of the Guru listens to the Gurus teaching and accepts it. You have managed to argue for a story that will never have equal or higher authority than Gurbani. You have made up your mind to accept the story as the decision holder on this discussion. This is comical. You want others to answer your loaded question, which was answered before asked, but you can't answer objective questions from others. These are not the traits of a student in the house of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji. What good did the link you provided have to add to this discussion? If you don't find a poster saying, Gurbani creates evil in a person, ridiculous then provide the meaning of ridiculous so rest of us can learn from your scholars who lie. If you were a student of the Guru. You would know this is not about a person being right. But its about following the Gurus Hukams. Its about asking the teacher when I should recite his praise and not some story. People like me who read Chandi Di Vaar once after sunset don't have so much ego and anger built up in us. Yet those who follow a story can't even keep a lid on their ego and anger when questioned. Gurbani just doesn't speak, but it shows its wisdom in its creation. Only the ones listening to the Guru can see this Naam. Rest just tell feeble stories, hoping others would fall under their peer pressure and anger. Tricks are for kids...........
  5. @kcmidlands Flying under the radar means looking like rest of the folks. Jaggi has no distinguishing Sikh religious mark to say he is a Sikh like an amritdharis does. If putting up a website on 1984 massacre of many Sikhs was a distinguishing mark of the Sikh religion, then why didn't the Indian government pick up jaggi as soon as he got off of the plane in India? Why didn't they catch on right away? If anything this provides more to say how a Mona can fly under the radar even after making a website showing Indian government genocide against the Sikhs. And now I will wait for someone to say I am against Jaggi and get all emotional.
  6. I have provided an answer already. Gurbani holds the final and first authority over any stories and statements. Go back and read what I wrote. Even Baba Ram Singh admitted, following Guru Sahib hukam is higher in the previous story of him meeting Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji. How about you provide answers to my questions? Your link shows no evidence from Gurbani or Hukams of the Gurus to say Chandi Di Vaar can't be read after sunset without going all night. How ridiculous are some of the claims made in the link you provided. They claim a person basically becomes evil. Gurbani/the Guru/Chandi Di Vaar makes a person evil if read after sunset without going all night? These Sikhs have beliefs no different than pandits who wanted to oppress people. There are other claims but this is the most ridiculous one of all.

    Do I do ardas?

You are right God does not need anything from us. He doesn't even need our full attention with love and devotion at his lotus feet. Sukhmani Sahib says God is absorbed in himself. Also this line is being mistranslated. ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਭਗਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ਆਪੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਏ ॥ Nothing is independent. So who is the Bhagat? There is no "us" when it comes to who is doing bhagti. There is only God. So what does God need from himself in the form of a Bhagat? Nothing!!! Neither are we Truth because we don't exist. The light in the body is him. Its an illusion to think we exist. Only he (God) exist and nothing else. He is the Truth and he is the Bhagat and the bhagti and he is the shabad which simran is done on. Keep going. Your going in the right direction with your train of thought. Just get rid of the I exist part, which can only be done by continuously meditating on him. When it goes away, you start asking what he wants and start following his instructions more closely.
  8. I have read the story and it does not equate to Gurbani final decision of Chandi Di vaar may be read at any time. You should read the previous chapter of Baba Ram Singh having Darshan of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji and Baba Ram Singh asking why didn't Guru Sahib say anything? The Singh says you don't do Jaap Sahib. Baba Ram Singh says its hard to do Jaap Sahib. The Singh tells Baba Ram Singh that it is hukam of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji that we do Jaap Sahib as part of nitnem. There after Baba Ram Singh follows the hukam and does Jaap Sahib as part of nitnem. The teaching of this story is that Hukam of the Guru is the highest order. Since Gurbani puts no restriction on any Bani time wise, therefore the hukam of remember him all day applies and Chandi Di Vaar may be read after sunset without going all night till sunrise. Why do you have hostility towards me? I will not feel guilty for looking to Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and providing a Gurmat answer to the sangat here. This is a forum where we can discuss. Just because I don't blindly accept everything willy nilly does not mean I am arguing. If you wish not to discuss and only express your views than start a blog or a website. People pretending to be Taksal the Singh are not fooling those who have sat with Gurmukhs of Taksal and had meaningful discussions with them. They don't call it arguementive or anything close because they are comfortable with the Gurmat decision they have come too and welcome the critical questioning. And best part about the real Taksal da Singhs is that they admit when they don't know something. Also you should revisit my questions as none of them were answered and you just dodged them.
  9. Before I address the above lets run through @TaksalDaSingh9771 story. Faith is very good to have. But where we place our faith in is even more important than having faith. Too many people place their faith swiftly due to being emotional and/or are emotionally blackmailed. People quickly place their faith in what they have heard without checking with their Guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. So I ask the following questions after places faith in my Guru. Did Sant Baba Harnam Singh Ji Rampur Khera actually write down the story? Or was is someone saying he told this story or did some attribute the story to him to add weight to what the other person wants people to follow? I ask these questions because this story directly goes against Gurbani when it comes to saying Gurbani shouldn't be recited after sunset. Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji puts no restriction on any Bani. If you follow the Baba story, then where does this place Gurbani as terms of where your faith rest? Now there are couple of points to make here about kaur72 post. If today Sikhs are not fighting jungs, then why even do Chandi di Vaar at all? Like you agree too, its for Bir Ras. No jung no bir ras needed. What effect does the sun have on reading Chandi Di Vaar that some how it controls the output? Gurbani says to sing his praises every second of the day. Chandi di vaar is the praise of Akal Purakh and according to Gurbani Sikhs can sing Chandi Di Vaar any time. The baba story can never be taken to override the final decision of when Gurbani is to be read by Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. Which is anytime and every second of the day. Personal experiences can never equate to be Hukam of Gurbani. What effect does the sun have controlling Bir Ras? As you agree too; Chandi di vaar can only be read before sunset. Also when does Gurbani ever outlet a person into manmat act, in this case anger? Listen to Sant Maskeen Singh ji speaking of Sri Charitoropakhyan. He says those who have lustful thoughts by reading Sri Charitoropakhyan are manmat people stuck in lust and Sri Charitoropakhyan is not to be blamed. This Gurmat teaching applies to Bir Ras Bani as well, extremely stressing on Chandi Di Vaar. The person did not understand and/or grasp the depth and fell into anger because he is weak after reading Chandi Di Vaar. Reading Chandi Di Vaar after sunset has no effect of anger regardless if you use the Bir Ras obtained from it. Chandi Di Vaar actually brings peace of mind. The depth of this bani is so beautiful and amazing. All the "hidden" messages come to bless the mind regardless what time Chandi Di Vaar is read. I read Chandi Di Vaar after sunset and no anger. My Guru is timeless and brings peace of mind to those who have full faith in my Guru; Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji.
  10. When the khalsa Panth was living in the jungles and had bounties on their heads, would they not need Bir Ras all day? Even after sunset? How do they know when the attack will come? Your reasoning is very frivolous. What about the Sikh who has engraved Chandi Di Vaar in his mind, is he in a constant state of Bir Ras?
  11. Its a critical point every Sikh need to understand. Many times non Sikhs are arrested in a foreign country and soon after the national news stations are airing the report on television. This time a citizen of the UK is arrested and then tortured but still nothing. Where does this leave us as Sikhs? Are we not human in the eyes of the other people?
  12. This poster is always arguing against punj pyare leading anything in Sikhi or otherwise. The current set up of worldly people is not working in any country no matter their level of education, including SGPC (which includes their Jathedar's). You can teach these worldly people all the ethics and morals they want but it all comes down to these people cheating, lying and defrauding the voters. He has more faith in worldly people than punj pyare. The punj pyare have a long history of laying their lives for Gurmat because their teachings are engraved in them. They cannot be separated. Yet this poster argues against the very people who have morals and ethics. Some have grown accustomed to slavery that they think its the warm blanket keeping them from the cold. Since he has 1000% doubt in the punj pyare, taking Amrit is a far inconceivable concept for him. But Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji had 1000% trust in the punj pyare as he showed us.
  13. Do you know if they aired Jaggi arrest and torture on television?
  14. When a person wants to call Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji as their Guru. They break all ties with a human leader and go bow at Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji feet. Ambedkar and his followers wanted to become Sikh but Ambedkar was rejected so HIS 5 million followers and he joined another religion. There is an inherent problem with this poor decision. These 5 million people already have a leader, so how can they join Sikhi? They clearly showed Ambedkar is their leader and they will do whatever he says and not Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. If they had told the fake leader, Ambedkar regardless of your decision, we will join Sikhi. Then they would have been Sikhs by heart and welcomed with open arms. Ambedkar displayed all signs of a cult leader. The cult mentality is what Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji warns us of and tells us to follow the Guru only. If these people had truly had the desire to join Sikhi. They would have done so by making this very decision without and cult leader directing them. Many so called low caste people have joined Sikhi. They broke ties with cult leaders. This was a stunt by Ambedkar to show how much power he has and Krishna tried to show the same in his time. But Krishna failed and so did Ambedkar. Glory always belongs to Vaheguru; when will these foolish people learn.
  15. This may have been answered. Has any major news station or national news station of the U.K. provided news and/or updates what is happening to their citizen at the hands of the Indian government?
  16. Firearms were not unlicensed. An unlicensed man held the rifle and therefore the cops issued a warning to the man who owns the rifle. If a person has a unlicensed firearm there would have been a much harsher punishment and there would have been an arrest most likely. Firearms were registered. Read for yourself: Quote: A 28-year-old Taylors Hill man will receive a formal warning for allowing an unlicensed individual to hold his registered firearms. End quote.
  17. The low self esteem Sikhs were always looking at the pure white skin of these 3ho's and saying look how good of Sikhs they are. Ask these low self esteem sikhs how clean are these dirty people? Since the 1970s they have dissolved sikhi into hinduism. Less than 30 years.
  18. Either he is using Sikhs as ponds in his chess match or 3ho. Since he goes to honor a genocidal government, he is using Sikhs as ponds in his chess match. His true loyalty is with 3ho. The reason behind this can be numerous but most likely linked with gaining political power for increasing the bank account. Their are more sell outs in the era of kalyug than true followers of Sikhi.
  19. Of course Gurbani says to be fanatical. Gurbani says become fanatical as a drug addict is for his drug. Only thing on the drug addicts mind is getting high. In the same manner Gurbani says the only desire a Sikh should have is for Shabad Guru. The drug addict doesn't even want to try the weak drugs. His mind only gets high off of his fix. In the same manner a Sikh doesnt bother with the drug of bhangra, which is not letting him feel the high of Gurbani. Sikhs are addicts of Gurbani. Any successful person in the world became an addict of their trade. Whether the trade me right or wrong. In most cases they compromised all morals and ethics to become multi millionaire or billionaire. In a similar manner Gurmukhs abandoned worldly desires like Bhangra and attached their thought to Gurbani.
  20. Only great thing about the story is another Sikh will get a green card and bring his parents out of India. I can see the headlines in a few years.....Indian Sikh only married Chinese woman to get a green card. Nothing religious about their wedding. They are two lustful people wanting to fulfill their animal desires......always thinking the grass is greener on the other side. Most western punjabis play the field and try all the different flavours. But this clever lad is going to get a green card out of it. Whoever said the western born punjabis were smarter than the Desi punjabis need a reality slap.
  21. In the video its visible there is only a handful of people there to honor a genocidal government. The Singh should file harassment and assault cases against these people. They had no right touching this guy. He was peacefully protesting, using his freedom of speech to protest. Vaheguru bless this guy with more kirpa.
  22. There is nothing holy about 3ho. They are an oppressive cult who has aligned with a government who committed genocide.
  23. Bro, your black and her dad don't want you in the punjabi gene pool family. Plus your living in a bollywood movie wake up. If you truly are in sikhi. Forget her and follow sikhi.

    Love someone

Its my way of shaking the core of a person and to get them to thinking outside the box. The newer generation need a good shake once in a while.

Finally some realistic and sensible advice on this forum. There is so much garbage on this forum now. People with their bollywood thinking has made society very m*ronic. These are the people who sell out Sikhi in a heart beat. Our ancestors would rather die than give up anyone of the Gurus teachings when the non Sikh demanded it. We have way too many cowards pretending to be Sikhs. Give these so called Sikh girls the opportunity to date and they will leave every teaching behind for two seconds of pleasure. Give these guys one girl and they also do away with everything. Biggest cowards in the world.
