  1. In Birmingham the premier shopping areas are in fact Ladypool Road, Coventry Road, Alum Rock Road, and Soho Road, there are also shopping centres in Lozells Road and other smaller ones. All are dominated by Pakistanis except Soho Road which is about half and half. Also please note that Pakistanis have a long history in Birmingham as long as or longer than Sikhs. There is no friction and 99.999% of people live very happily together. Sikhs and Pakistanis have always lived side by side and worked side by side and visted each others houses and festivals since the first ones came to Birmingham in the late 1940s to date. Look at facts and not fiction, people get on very well. Also most Pakistanis are now moving to Hall Green, Hodge Hill, Great Barr and other areas which are nice areas and can be described as having large Pakistani communities. Also please remember that sikh areas in west london were created by white flight, if sikhs do move to any other areas lets see how long goras stay there. Hatred against other asians will not benefit sikhs and i mention that point based on the writings of ranjit above who used a analogy that refers to manure and flies, surely this shows a prejudiced mindset, please think before making such comments.
  2. It did not have a pathetic military history at all. If you read the defeat of Alexander he was infact injured near Multan in a fight with Jatts and the predominant clan who fought that battle were Malhi Jatts. His own army did a baghwat and said we do not want to stay here due to the fighting nature of the Jatts clans. Its is recorded by his biographer aryan that the army of Alexander had never met such concerted resistances like they did in what is today called Punjab anywhere. Also note that Ghaznavi was attacked in the battle of the boats near the river indus and thereafter he never returned to Punjab. Jatt warriors joined boats together and formed a bridge and crossed the river and defeated Ghaznavi. Gori was in fact killed in Pakistan near Gujar Khan by none other than Ramlal Khokhar in the battle involving Jatts and Rajputs. Tamerlane was only ever defeated by Jatts in northern Pakistan. Mughals were beaten by Jatts and even Babar in Babarnama refers to the wild eyed jatts attacking him. Also Mughals faced Kharals and dulla Bhatti and also were defeated by Suraj Mal and lost Bharatpur and Dholpur where Jatts ruled. These are just some cases which show that well before sikhism was started Punjab had a very famous, proud and martial history. In fact many would argue that sikhs benefited from the induction of Jatts into their fold. Sikhism only really blossomed after 1699 Vaisaki and the announcement of Khalsa at the Jatt festival of Vaisaki. Vaisaki was not a Khatri, baniya or other tribes festival before 1699, this festival is still celebrated as it was for thousands of years in Pakistan. Se we were lions before we joined any religion. Thank you.
  3. I read this article and do not agree with the people who say Pakistanis are arab wanabees. This is not true. Also about 90% in the UK speak Punjabi and not urdu and in Pakistan itself they all can speak Punjabi and urdu as well. Religion and race are different issues and one does not stop being a Punjabi if he becomes a sikh or muslim.
