  1. The thing is this was during a deposition. There are no judges, jury etc present except for the lawyers and the plaintiffs etc, on top of that she was a new mother. She can't control when her breasts are full of milk. If she didn't feed the child then she would have simply started leaking and how uncomfortable would that have been. If she asked for a break on those ground she should have had one, if they felt she was abusing it have someone monitor and watch her. It's as simple as that. But thats just it. If he let something as trivial as this get to him how does he expect to handle the pressures that Presidential duties would involve. World leaders are constantly under attack, by foreign policies and homeland ones. If he let something like that get to him imagine how the big things would blow out. You seem to know more than I do.
  2. Here's the deal. Answer my questions first as I proposed them before you and I'll happily respond to yours. The fact that you need to turn to snide comments and racist remarks to back your points only further asserts as most people here are saying, you're nothing more than a half-dead racist that's a bit pissed because no one's being punjabi anymore. The sikhi part is merely a guise.
  3. My questions are about the topic. If you feel you're inadequate to respond to them then thats fine with me.
  4. I'm still waiting for that proper response that doesn't involve insulting me.
  5. here you said Punjabi Culture isn't our heritage lmao. Sikh history is. If you think drunkenness, sexism and active participation of the caste system is something that's "Sikhi" then that's fine.
  6. Fair enough on Jindal lol Like i said I barely know anything about American politics or the key players. Though in the case of Trump the Lawyer asked for a medical break but they refused. She was a new mother at the time and she took out the pump as her body would naturally produce milk. I was sort of trying to draw your attention to the fact he needed to go and Twitter and start a rant about it. Calling it an "easy win" and he "enjoyed it" , quite frankly from someone who wishes to President, why should it let him bother and start something like that. Doesn't seem very mature. Though I'm not gonna argue with you. You know a massive amount more than I do about Politics in general and I have no desire of starting a debate about something I know nothing about xD
  7. If you're the pinnacle of Sikhism then I shudder to think what our Esteemed Master must be thinking. You're in particular order a racist, judgmental,a massive hypocrite and you seem to consider yourself better than others. You haven't bothered answering a single point I raised and it's apperent that you consider Sikhism the same as being Punjabi. In my post there was no nerve hit, I wasn't furious, I wasn't showing any emotion nor did it "hit a nerve" lmao. If you feel you lack the braincells to replay to that then good for you. Bhaji can you please take one word of advice from me. I mean this in the least rude way possible. We don't refer to it as Diwali, we call it Bandi Choor Divas as it was the day our beloved Guru hargobind Ji freed the political prisoners and granted them a new life. As for Christmas, no one even celebrates that religiously anymore. Most people say Happy Holidays and use it as a way of getting together with family and a time of gathering and good feelings. There's hardly a mention of Jesus Christ from those souls. The same is applied to Easter and most other Christian Holidays. And as for this proclamation im a "Whited down Sikh" which i think is so humorous. Yes I have gone to Parties but beforehand I have always specified I would not attend if Alcohol or drunkenness is going to be present. I also happily tell im a vegetarian and I don't consume Egg,fish, meat etc. And shockingly I'm not uninvited, in-fact it usually results in a nice variety being laid out in which I can take part. I am also an fan of certain T.V series, many of which I follow because get this. Their well written and expose many fundamental problems of that time and age. But i've never had the urge to go out get wasted, sleep around or even do anything from the Bujjar Kuret. I also have many friends. Muslims,Sikhs,Christians and even Atheists AND i never once looked down on them and none of them have done that to me. None of them have tried to steer me to drugs, alcohol, sex or even ask me change my name lmao. It appears OP is one of those weak minded sikhs who grossly underestimates the will power of the average Sikh that tries to follow the Path of Guru Nanak. Sikhs with far more will power than I have taken things further. I know so many Gursikhs my age who not only socialize and are apart of British culture but also remain true to the Ideals of our Faith. People treat sikhism as something that is fragile that will break with the slightest touch. Sikhism is a tree that's roots have spread all throughout the world, even though those roots are now a part of something else as well they have remained true to their Divine father. Yes this is a problem and no it's not the picture OP wishes to paint.
  8. Then why not use Westernized? No but you're happy to paint them in a totally negative light lmao. but here you said Assimilation isn't necessary becoming, its absorbing and becoming a part of. Not becoming just like the culture. There are aspects of Western Culture that correlate fine with Sikhism, there are others which don't. Such as when the Irish first migrated here during the potato famine of the 1840-1850s they still took part in many of their traditional roots but at the same time tried their best to play the part of being good neighbors with the natives. Cool story. So what about those White Sikhs, are they not sikhs then lmao. In the UK? the problem nearly isn't as big as you're painting it. The current generation is far more aware of Sikh traditions than their grandfathers. And to answer your OP, most of the problems you mentioned occurred when the older generation migrated here. There's a nice growing trend of people actually EMBRACING Sikhism more in our present state. From here you made it pretty apparent this is a rant is more about Punjabi culture lmao. You seem more concerned with Asceticism than actual Sikhism. You're more than happy to criticize others and brand them foolish when you're own narrow shortsightedness is preventing you from actually seeing all the good that is at-least trying to flourish here. You claim you don't use it in a racist context but words like "white" or even "brown" can easily be avoided by terminology like "western" or even "asian". But it's clear you DON'T want to do any of that. From anyone perspective this is clearly just a rant about race rather than anything else. You're not pissed that Sikhism is as you claim "dying" you're pissed that Punjabism is dying.
  9. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/donald-trump-calls-lawyer-disgusting-for-stopping-lawsuit-testimony-to-breastfeed-her-newborn-child-10423090.html I meant that, Apparently Trump responded with these tweets. From what I heard. Again, this is stuff iv gathered from American friends, he isn't happy being associated with India or even his roots for that matter. I get the whole thing about American Pride but he went as far as to change his name for acceptance But let me re-iterate. I'm not american nor do I follow the politics of America so i am EXTREMELY ignorant of the whole affair. I'm sure you can help me sort some of my misconceptions and misinformation out.
  10. lol k. rather than answer that innocent question feel free to hide behind petty insults. I never said I was a sikh people should look up to, but if people follow you're line of thought we'll end creating a community of isolated fools who are hardly aware of the world around them let alone able to help it like we were instructed by our Guru Sahibs. But since you are probably going to brand me as racist I might as well explain myself. You use the word Whitified in a very racist context You could say Westernized as it encompasses everything that the western world has produced, both good and bad. The word (which isn't even a word from what I know) Whitified is extremely racist as it paints White people as being the absolute bane of the world. Rather than trying to tell me im a bad Sikh or even a bad person (which I have no doubt I am) I would ask you should consider everything your doing. So far all you've pointed out is you're super pissed PUNJABI culture is dying. Most of your posts resonate with the same frequency as the older generation which are now complaining as most modern day people seem to have a very guarded approach to Punjabism which they don't feel the need to associate with. Sikhism is universal, It's a modern and evolving culture and way of life. Unlike the Quran we're not confined to a set of rules laid out thousands of years ago. Gurbani is eternal and provides us a perfect guideline to which we can live our lives IN ANY SOCIETY without isolating ourselves. As you seem to want us to do.
  11. -cough- so those sikhs who are Caucasian by birth, are they less whitified
  12. Kira

    Masturbation:

If you want my advice treat Masturbation like a drug. cutting yourself off all at once will just make matters worse, slowly chip away at it. Try and work out how much you do in a weak and start lowering it slowly. Eventually to the point you don't need to do it anymore.
  13. I've read the part regarding Guru Gobind Singh Ji and other Guru Sahib's lineage and then up to his birth. Where he speaks to Akal Purkh or well communicates. The words are crystal clear. even in the end Guru Sahib said the lord and his servants are one. But he reasserted before hand we are NOT to refer to him as the lord. He even went as far as to refer to him as his servant. So please if I missed anything where he states we're to call him waheguru, bring it to my attention. I've so far read (not in significant detail though) up to the birth of the 10th master. The parts after that are historical recounts of various battles. So I'll politely add I am very much likely to have missed something.
  14. But no one's denying that fact. The problem is if you refer to Guru Nanak or any of our Guru Sahib's as Waheguru you automatically refer to their complete person including their physical form as being Waheguru. Would that be accurate? I think not. Guru Gobind Singh Ji made it extremely clear we're to treat our Guru Sahibs and waheguru with no difference but we are never to refer to them as the Lord. He even deemed it worthy enough to say anyone who did would fall to hell. That is the seriousness of what Many Sikhs are now doing. I believe only Bhai Mardana, Bhai Sata and Bhai Balvanda were the Gursikhs who helped add to soroop of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The others were all Bhagats and our Guru Sahib. Bhai Gurdas Ji is a historian, He was there to help us understand the context of certain things and help clarify certain things that were being said at the time. But Gurbani and Guru Gobind Singh Ji made it very clear we are never to call any of our Guru Sahib as Waheguru. Such an association is a massive dishonor on their Nimrata when they themselves never asserted that.
  15. and once again you decided to take everything out of context. One of the tukhs you posted refers to Guru Arjun dev Ji as being armed with the name of god. Do you see that tukh and then you politely ignored what was written before. BY inrBau mwixAau lwK mih AlKu lKwXau ] (1408-1) bhai nirbha-o maani-a-o laakh meh alakh lakhaa-ya-o. In the Fear of God, You enjoy the Fearless Lord; among the thousands of beings, You see the Unseen Lord. It would help if you didn't discrete Gurbani by pulling only the tukhs and panna and deciding not to read all the surrounding Gurbani. No one here denied that any of our Guru Sahib's were one with the primal lord. But by calling them Waheguru we're insulting their nimrata and then implying that Waheguru should he take a form, that form could be injured? Do you know why our Guru Sahib's refused to preform Miracles like the Hindu gods? it was to stop people referring to them as God or even gods. Aurangzeb in all his fury demanded Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji perform a miracle for him but the Guru Sahib refused.
  16. Bobby Jundal or whatever is a laughing stock from what I've gathered. He doesn't even consider himself Punjabi/Indian etc
  17. Nah im aware this is an election for the candidate. Bhaji please. I'm ignorant of American Politics but I am still aware of that I was speaking in the long term. Though im sure the people here make me look like a school kid when it comes to whats going on in the states.
  18. Nah I tend to stay clear of the American Media, I know their highly biased. But based on what I have heard from more contemporary sources (my friends who are American and other newspapers etc) he's not very nice. He may speak out but the thing is he's extremely emotional, at-least thats the vibe im getting. A person who let something like a breast feed incident get to him and force him onto Twitter would most likely declare war if someone remotely criticized him. Just my thoughts. I prefer Sanders though, he seems like an alright guy.
  19. This doesn't seem like much of a "we should be more sikh" this is coming across as "we should be more punjabi" . All this talk about White and Brown is only really building walls.
  20. by that logic why aren't we all worshiping Odin,Zeus,Ra,Isis,Horus. I find it humorous your god takes a human form and spends his childhood chasing girls and stealing their clothes. I also find it equally funny that many of Trinity gods you love and revere seem to exhibit human-like behavior. Many problems that arose were due to them blessing demons or even losing their temper and then going to war over it. I'm inclined to agree with that. There's a reason why Hinduism is mainly ignored when it comes to debates about the creator.
  21. Not american here but Trump looks like the worst possible person to put in charge. I know very little about politics but from what I gathered he is really something.
  22. I'm already studying in University lmao. I find it hilarious that the supreme deity you want people to worship used to tease woman and girls. I hardly know a,b,c,d? Perhaps you should read your own scriptures and see how human-like your gods were.
  23. You'd think a supreme god had better things to do than steal the clothes of woman as a child lmao.
