What happened with hard kaur?  Was there a incident between her and hindus? What happened?  And then she made some khalistani and sikh cause videos which took me by surprise.

Then hindus started calling her traitor and khalistani etc

She went a little ballistic on social media a while back, speaking about the Bollywood Illuminati and then she went full tin hat conspiracy theory bonkers before she stopped posting on social media, i think she has issues (and that's putting it lightly).

Anyone know /met Ravi Singh? I don’t agree with what Khalsa aid are doing, but I have seen him speak about 10 years ago and he seemed good hearted

I've met him a few times, i mentioned it in an earlier post, he's very passionate about what he does and is good-hearted, he's the type of person that want's to fix all the wrong's in the world, i think that Khalsa Aid has grown so fast so quickly that it need's to be managed properly which i don't think it was up until recently.

If they're going to play the 'Sikh card', for their political agendas, charities, then you don't have Sikh interests first then you should be held accountable. Tan Dhesi was went viral when he had go Boris for his 'Islamophobia'...has he mentioned anything for Jaggi Johal? Will they speak against the grooming gangs, minorities prosecuted in Islamic countries and so on...Same with the liberal Sikh mps in Canada...they don't say much when it comes to other issues. We all know, playing the Muslim clout will advance careers and get plenty clout...do what you they want to do, but using Sikhi when it suits you is wrong. We go viral when we giving langar, coverage all over medias 'Sikhs giving free food'..yet hardly any aid when comes anything else.

KA is 'global charity;' and want to help humans then stop capitalizing on Sikhi for further your brand, when they're not Sikh charity or Sikhi interests. You dont see Islamic charities, christian charities, helping those not their faith. Punjab, the christian charities are making poor Sikhs convert before they help them. Do what they want to do but stop using Sikhi to build a brand, multi-millionaire institution when Sikhi does not come first imo

@Jonny101 Totally disagree with your friend.  Are we going to get Pak side Khalistan back? All the past leaders and khrakus stood on their own. Whether against Islam, gora, Hindus...they didn't beg for anyone...If we had that mentality then we would been extinct a long time ago. We have no friends. Whether India, Pakistan or elsewhere. NYSF has links with Cage UK, a pro Islamist group. Is this what we need as allies, to join Islamist groups to help us with 'Khalistan'..  Kafirs will always remain kafirs.

Tan Dhesi has mentioned 1984 numerous times, he spoke about it last week asking about a public inquiry into British involvement into 1984 only to be told by Jacob Rees-Mogg that Thatcher was great, he's also spoken about Jaggi Johal and petitioning the British Foreign Secretary.

Who hasn't used their identity to further their Brand, we have singer's who have cut hair, wear a dastaar and promote Sikhi, kid's look up to them, they keep their kesh, start tying a dastaar, it that right (it might be off on a tangent but the principle is the same), we have our own channels but they have their own agendas so why do we expect our charities to be any different.

I think people who don't like Khalsa Aid's brand or style of sewa should make their own organisation and set the right example for Khalsa Aid to follow. Gurpreet California Singh seems very arrogant to me personally going by his speech, and the fact that he's addressing Ravi Singh as if he's talking about a school boy. I'd be happy if he can set the right example and eat into Khalsa Aid's share of donation even, because he's focussing on Punjabi/Kharkoo families.

If one wants to do sewa for somebody, they should do it themselves. Why would you expect someone else to change their sewa/working as per your wish, while you sit on your bum doing nukhtachini? It's simple really.

I agree with this, I've got no idea who Gurpreet California Singh is but one thing i do know, every time someone from our community get's into a position of fame/power/influence in whatever shape or form our expectations from them turn into you have to do for us, this is evident across the board, when Tan Singh Dhesi was elected as an MP for Slough he was criticised by loads of people from the Sikh community for not doing enough for Sikhs, you had Singh's from all over the UK slating him when he said his responsibility is to the people of Slough who elected him (it doesn't mean he doesn't raise issues relating to Sikhs, he does).

We, as a community, are our own worst enemies, if all you want to do with your charity is help families in Punjab, help them, there are lots of people that need help in the world, focus on what you think is important. If you feel Khalsa Aid doesn't match up to your point of view, don't donate to them, simple as.

@Jonny101 The person you spoke to hit the nail on the head, Ravi Singh has bought the amount of charity works Singhs do into the limelight, we need that positive PR.

  5. I don't think normal, everyday, run of the mill people like can understand the pressure people feel when they are put in the limelight, if that pressures not kept in check then it will manifest into many things, some people go off the rails, drugs, alcohol, sleeping with anything that moves, others will internalise it all leading to mental health issues including depression.

Industries like Bollywood are a club where you follow the rules or your careers over, only the rules they have don't really resonate with normal people, i remember a video that someone had shot last year of a private party where you had A-list Bollywood actors and directors openly snorting coke, looking at the camera like they where living on another planet, if this had been a normal person their career would have been over but they all protect each other. It's all a sad state of affair's, it's basically a spiders web that once you get tangled in it you have to move at the same rhythm as the spider or your finished.

I received a change.org request to remove the Gandhi statue in Leicester.

Leicester has a big Gujerati population and I am sure they will object to this.

For Gujerati and Hindus he will be seen as a hero.

It starts with removing slave trader's statues and then moves on to other things.

I can sign this petition because I don't like Gandhi but my concern is they came for the goreh, then they come for the gujjus.

There are statues in the UK commemorating our soldiers, what if some demented lefties come after those?

The Gandhi statue in Leicester is a bone of contention with a lot of people, it's been deface by some local Singh's a few times, i couldn't care either way to be honest, i don't see it coming down mainly because, like you've mentioned, the local populace is mainly Gujarati and they do love Gandhi.

Could be a slave or could be someone being punished for a crime as was common place in America in the 1900's. More information here https://delawaretoday.com/life-style/whipping-post-no-longer-an-acceptable-form-of-criminal-punishment/

All the TV channels have been set up to get money and our community are dumb enough ti give it. I had the delight of meeting the Akaal channel owner Amrik Kooner owner after I was robbed of my laptop by 2 men who attacked me and punched me to the floor outside Akaal Channel under its CCTV. He refused to give police the CCTV and was demanding I pay him £140 for it.  These people like Amrik Kooner, Ravi from Khalsa Aid then go on TV and social gatherings pretending to be angels of the earth to get money from people. It is part of the act but truth is my encounters in my hours of need have shown the the truth of them.

This i agree with 100%, but that discussions for another thread. I've said in my post i'm neither for or against Ravi Singh, everyone has there own personal experience, it's unfortunate that your has been so negative up to a point where you've lost faith.

We filmed a promotional piece for a search and rescue charity down south a while back and i was amazed at how cut throat the charity "industry" is, they have to fight tooth and nail to get your money so the more pr they get the better but unfortunately people who actually need help suffer because of it.

  9. I really am on the fence about this (and i'm not standing up for them), I've met Ravi a few times and he's a decent guy who always want's to do the right thing but i thing but Khalsa Aid has grown a lot over the last few years and managing an charity is a huge task, one which he isn't that experienced in and i think it's lost focus from what it was originally set up to do.

He's always said Khalsa Aid was a Humanitarian Charity who help where there is need, we sit here and judge them for helping in Syria, Iran, Afghanistan and not so much in Punjab, I personally don't have an issue with that, to me a charity should help and not look at the race or religion of those they help, if you want to donate to a charity that specifically helps a certain religion then you should donate to them, simple. I donate to Unique Home in Jalandhar who specifically help girls who have been abandoned, it's very difficult for international charities to operate in Punjab due to the amount of politics and red tape (although some have managed to do it) so i donate to a charity based over there that i know have been vetted and are legit.

I've never understood the hate towards Khalsa Aid, specifically Ravi Singh, i think even if he was devoting 100% of his time to causes in Punjab someone would get up and take issue with that, each to their won i suppose.

I think it will be used to invade people's privacy further, and wouldn't be surprised if they want to use it to target people for vaccines

Th UK app was made by Marc Warner's company, if you don't know who he is then google him, his brother was hired by Dominic Cummings for the Vote Leave & Tory campaigns, we all know how much dodgy stuff went on there.

On a technical front, it doesn't work properly on IOS so all you with Iphones are going to have fun, there's load's of other things wrong with it but that will turn this into a technical conversation.

  11. I love seeing what's happening around the world with the environment with people being told to stay indoors, the lack of pollution has let the earth breath again, it brilliant, the thing is i don't live with my head in the clouds (although sometime's i wish i could), as soon as humans are let out again it won't take long to suffocate the earth again.

    Waheguru!

Iv heard a few throughout the years as well. Heres one of them. A lady who works with my mum was telling my mum how how mother passed away in Punjab and just as they were about to light the fire for the cremation he foot started moving! They then took her back to the hospital and they put her on the machines and she go back up again. She then told everyone how she was taken to this very dark place, people getting tortured and screaming. She said there are two walls there like a alleyway, very narrow and you have to walk between the walls and its pitch black and its so hot and humid between these walls that you can't breath. Its a long line that every one walks in and then 2 jamdoots came along and said to her what shes doing here and that its not her time yet and that she still has so on number of weeks left. After this experience the lady was telling everyone to do Waheguru simran and that only Waheguru simran can save you. She died after the number of weeks that the jamdoots told her that she has left.

I'v heard so many scary things like this!  but i'm glad i have   it keeps you in check lol

My Grandmother passed away last year, she's been ill for a while so she knew, she did a lot of path, we grew up learning from her. She had breathing problems one night and her breathing pretty much stopped, she was like that for a good while, we called 999, paramedics were working on her and about to take her down the stair's into the ambulance, she woke up. She didn't want to go to hospital, we had to sign a waiver form and call the GP to do a home visit the next day. After the GP had visited the next day she sits my mum down, mum asks her what happened, she said she went to a place were there were people being beaten up and screaming, she was told to go away, it wasn't her time.

2 weeks later to the day she passed away, looking back i don't know what to make of it, I'm still processing her loss, she was one of the main people that bought me up, she was a extremely religious woman, she didn't fear death one bit.

The amount of time's I've heard similar account's is uncanny, are we just storing the account's like these subconsciously and when certain chemicals are released we access those thoughts, does it actually happen? maybe we're better off not knowing.

It's scary to think that if we see all this gandh happening today   what's gnna be happening in 20  30  years time

What kind of world are we gnna be raising our kids in in the future    by the time we have grandkids   god knows what will be happening

    Waheguru

It's a cultural thing, it has very little to do with religion. People from different backgrounds have come here (UK) and the newer generation's want to feel as though they fit in so pursue a western culture where their parents/grand-parents pursued an eastern/traditional culture.

When i grew up in the 80's our generation was torn between two cultures, boy's and girls would go out, drink, have relationship's in secret because they still feared their families and their communities, now the next generation are doing it all out in the open.

There's no right or wrong in all of this, we just have to try and do the best by our kids and hope they listen.

Before the British invaded India it was a lot more sexually liberated than any other country, the Victorian's turned up and made it all taboo, what we're seeing now is a rebellion to that mindset, especially in India.

    Sikhistore

    Sikhwarehouse  ...

Reminds me I was gnna buy some parney  lol

Sikhistore are great, i order from them on a regular basis, they sent me out the wrong colour dastaar once and let me keep the incorrect one and sent out the right one, not many companies do that kind of stuff.

On the subject of winners and looser's, i have a friend at one of the tech firms sub-contracted to make on of the contact tracing app for the NHS, if they don't get any more work they would still be okay given the amount of money they are being paid.

So basically I wasn't expecting a scene in our home today noon but it did happen.

My mom wasn't feeling well today , and the little kid keeps my wife busy other times , but he was sleeping. So my wife made some food.

When I asked if the food was done, she said "yes, but don't criticize it please . I have been in kitchen for 'n' hours now doing cookking"

I honestly started losing my temparament . I mean can she not even do this much ! Do I have no right to criticize the food she made. what if its tasteless. I mean my dad has criticized and got dishes made from mom for long.

As I started eating and saying as to why I cannot criticize the food she made. Thats the only thing she handles right now , if at all. My dad said I should not criticize too much and that made me fuming because here's the man who always got things made from mom. So I started shouting on him as well. Mom immediately came to my rescue and started shouting at dad. Then mom's outburst came at my wife saying why she can't handle criticism of food . Then past issues suddenly came into arguments. My wife has a habit of arguing.

I told her its her duty to make wholesome, tasty food for her husband (me). Thats the least a husband expects from wife. I also said if she can't do that I will start eating in restaurants. All this discussions happened in front of entire family. I was crying a little.

Honestly though, I deserve good food with a wife. What's wrong in this ? I know toxic feminists will say your housewife isn't a domestic thing, I would like to tell them then I ain't an ATM either. I never b*tched about having to earn for her.

    Couple of things:

Never, ever criticise the chef, simple, you'll end up with food poisoning, just sayin....

Grow up, you had an Anand Karaj, have it explained to you, it's not about marrying a woman and she becomes your slave, it's deeper than that.

Earning money doesn't make you the boss of the house, running the house make's you the boss of the house, raising the kids makes you the boss of the house, your a cog in that machine, if your always going to moan like a pre-pubescent teenager then your your own worst enemy, again, grow up.

Lastly, your a parent now, everything you do is an example to your child, so yeah stop coming online and moaning about how bad your life is when the world has slightly bigger problems at the moment and grow up.

The government doesnt really seem to be giving out any useful information about how to treat coronavirus.

But most crucially they don't seem to be giving advice on how to boost our immune systems to help us stop catching it in the first place. Or even helping us fight it off if we have it.

It's well known that fighting off and boosting our immune system is crucial when recovering from common colds similar to Corona.

We should all be making sure are immune system and general health is good. This starts with excercise and good diet.

Citrus fruits, lemons and brocolli bell peppers are great for our immune systems. Yet how many people have no idea and will instead following some old wife's tale and eating ginger and rubbing haldi on their noses in their efforts to stave on Corona.

Popular to common misconception's, you can't really "Boost" your immune system but you can certainly help it by keeping it levelled off.

Dr John Campbell explains it better than i could (it's also worth watching his daily videos, he seems to be the only one who speaks any sense).

Agree, people are not being able to see for what it is. It's important to support small local businesses. Sikhs should support local sikh businesses.

I think you should support local business regardless of there background, it's the only way local communities grow, if we choose to just support business's with owners from our own background then communities become fractured.

The long term affect is gnna be economic not health wise. Massive economic crash ahead, perhaps this is what the purpose is?

Look at what's already happened to business...    especially small businesses, only "businesses" that are  not gnna get effected are massive colossal international ones like amazon. A complete different kind of people own business like amazon in comparison to even big national businesses.

Iv seen vids talking about things like a cashless society.

The way a lot of the public have handled this whole thing in the west is an embarrassment, there were queues of people yesterday evening wanting to get their fix of processed fast food before McDonald's closed there door's for a few week's, this whole thing is a reset button for us all, we've become too reliant of the like's of Amazon and having everything now, we need to step back for a few weeks and take a long hard look at what we've been doing, when we come back from this we should be supporting small business and local economy, not billionaires who couldn't care less about you.

Cashless is already here, this virus being spread with hand contact is just another reason that will be used to push it, it's just not as secure as it should be yet.
