Also some videos I watched online has the same shield bashing and hitting weapons on each other like gatka So to me it seems most of Kalarippayattu has probably been changed in the modern age, probably colonial times. the application of gatka is to do a dance, and also score points by hitting various parts of the body. In british indian army it was used as a fencing game, and its origins are from khutka - a sword dance from Persia. In almost all gatka akharas they do silly things against maryada such as hitting the opponents dal/shield on purpose!!! There's even some weirdo gatkabajis who slap their thighs IN FRONT of the shastar parkash ( as in go up to the shastar parkash and do a thigh slap) LOL ! Also the chakri spinning move, the application of that is how to basically commit suicide in front of a volley of arrows !!! well we should respect sikhi by not calling it sikhism, which is a british colonial religious consturct also hinduism term only existed from colonial times, and is a british colonial construct of combining different hindu and local traditions into the religion construct.

sikhi is a panth, I would say sikhi follows dharam, and some people will call sikhi a dharm or sikh dharm. However this silly term you use called sikhism, this is a religious construct which originates from the British Raj. So using the term sikhism instead of sikhi implies religion.

I believe it is similar to meaning religion. Abrahamic religion is dogmatic - it starts from jews, then christians added their gospels, then muslims took both of these and made islam+Quran Some sufis aren't really muslims, in Bharat some sufis are still dharmik and aren't initiated muslims.
