No savaiya and arril is in morning chaupai sahib too.

The real reason is because of different maryada of taksal and akj.

Taksal is abt tradition so they read how they were taught and their santhiya teachers were taught going back.

Akj is all abt what makes sense. So they end at kharag pauri because the bani ends their and the savaiye and arril and the other 2 pauris are from different banis and not chronilogical order.

The difference is called shoti and vaddi rehraas sahib. At akal takhat they read the shoti rehraas sahib and during sant jarnail singh times, when taksal took over akaal takhat, singhs tried to do full/vaddi rehraas but santji stopped them from enforcing their views.

Also u can google it, theres been huge debates abt it in the past on this and akj forums.

From my experience, AKJ usually have a bit longer Rehraas than SGPC, but shorter than Taksal and Budha Dal.

  2. They end after (ਦੁਸਟ ਦੋਖ ਤੇ ਲੇਹੁ ਬਚਾਈ ॥੪੦੧॥) because after this, Guru Sahib ends the Benti and now thanks Akaal Purakh for completing the Granth (Charitropakyan).

    I personally think its fine to read the last 2 Pauris and the Arril (ਸੁਨੈ ਗੁੰਗ ਜੋ ਯਾਹਿ ਸੁ ਰਸਨਾ ਪਾਵਈ ॥), but I do not see why the Choupai after that one (ਸੰਬਤ ਸਤ੍ਰਹ ਸਹਸ ਭਣਿਜੈ ॥) needs to read.

This choupai is literally just mentioning the date and location where the Granth was completed. It makes sense if someone was doing Paath of the whole Charitropakyan granth, but not when doing Benti Chaupai.

Instead he gave huge cut to corporate folks.

Due to his tax cuts, our middle class family paid less on taxes.

In my opinion, with the buzzwords aside, he is doing a OK job. The only thing I think is bad about him are his annoying tweets and his immoral character.

I only watch Shapiro to find what masala is happening in politics, otherwise there are better intellectuals to watch.

Milo is a dead meme, he is a provocateur and has no substance.

This Taksali Singh denounces the Babas that demolished the Deori and the SPGC that allowed him to do so. He also says that it's the normal operating procedure of the SGPC to do something like this, then when the Sangat cries out, they "suspends" a manager or transfers him someplace to placate the Sangat. All lies.

He also says the Babas hands should be smashed. Finally that every modification of a historical building should be published in the newspapers in advance.

With the recent replacing of the Door of the Sri Harmandir Sahib Darshani Deori and now this incident, hopefully it will stop.

They all denounce it now because it has been made public and majority of the Panth is against them. These Kar Sevaks have been under with SGPC for over 4 decades now destroying our heritage, but these guys never said a word. Where was Dhumma (who has a large influence in SGPC in the past decade) when these decisions were made?

This is SGPC's fault, they authorized these Kar Sevaks to do the damage they did. The SGPC is frantically trying to fix its image by blaming the Babas, but reality is that the blame goes on them. The Kar Seva Babas are just contractors.

Don't get me wrong... If this sort o thing happened to Darbar Sahib or Hazoor Sahib then yes, I'd b infuriated too! However, 2 things. 1. These 2 will never ever be demolished. 2. Everything not constructed by Guru Sahibs themselves will be demolished.

It's natural to construct and demolish - eh t chaldey rehnda.

I posted a photo earlier of some guy destroying the Original Sri Akal Takht Sahib that was built by Guru Sahib, people do this type of stuff.

i dont understand this obsession with marble!  i think its a recent thing because old gurdwareh were simple brick structures.  Thats why the beris at harmandir sahib started dying because they choked them with marble. During maharja ranjit singhs time the parkarma of harmandir sahib was actually bricks, only the parkarma outside akal takt was marble the rest was all bricks.

here look you can see only one side of the parkarma is white, which is the marble.  rest was all bricks, notice how many trees there were

this same person has been pakistan and done kar sewa on the gurdware there too,  but from his website it looks like he just painted the original structures,  lets hope he dont go there next and start demolishing them ...

Yea, some of them they just plated the original building with marble and painted them. Thats fine, but I never understood them knocking down the whole building, even if it is structurally unsound. They should be hiring experts to preserve them.

bibi nanki jis house which was completely razed down by these babeh

and the ugly building they replaced it with

If they were proper civil engineers and architects, they could have a plan to build on top of the original building and solidify it. Then expose parts of the original historical building (and maybe cover with glass for protection) to show sangat.

But nope, lets just let Kar Seva babay knock it down and rebuild.

everyone needs to wake up and know what these people are doing to these historical places. they are not just "buildings"  they are our history

My hope lies in Pakistan, where Gurdwaras are still have been mostly left untouched ever since partition. While a few Gurdwaras have crumbled and gone away, there are many that are have no one looking after them but are still standing.

I want to see real Civil Engineers and architects restore these Gurdwaras without knocking anything down.
