    There is a difference in the missionary styles of Sikhs in the past and what is thought of today (Christian Missionaries). Sikh Masands (imo) didn't go with the intent to convert others, but rather spread Sikhi, and make others more aware of the truth. BOS's Street Parchar is sorta somewhat like this today. The Masands didn't have the thought process that many Christian Missionaries had that if you don't convert, you will burn. Those missionaries are focused on increasing their numbers of those that identify with their faith while not counting who actually practices their faith. Just an important distinction that I felt needed to be made...

    Personally, I think verbal descriptions help us understand but recording can ruin the state of those who are taking amrit, it can distract the panj piare, and it will overall make the sanchar more ritualistic and showy. Guru Sahib took the panj piare in a separate place (the tent) and we should be free from all distractions when taking amrit

    This is a good explanation. If one ever gets caught up in these types of confrontations, look at the whole shabad and try and understand what message is trying to be conveyed.
