If you have to lie for your religion, do you actually believe in it or is that a lie as well?

I think people who are willing to break amrit just for someone else were never strong in their sooch to begin with.

I think only Babbar Khalsa ever did that, the rest of the Kharku groups were mainly fighting on secular rights, while Babbar Khalsa’s fight was more theocratic.

I don’t think it’s nature, as the Sikh Empire was one of the most highly educated societies in the world, even more educated than the Europeans. And we only started going towards Fudduness with the British and Indians. Even if we go back 100 years ago, Sikhs were more independent minded than they are now, (today far too many Sikhs have been absorbed by non-Sikh propaganda and we have some people believing “all religions are equal”).

There's a 50% chance of a Sikh man and non-Sikh woman raising Sikh kids, while if there's a Non-Sikh man and Sikh woman there's almost 0% chance of them raising Sikh kids. Either way the non-Sikh shouldn't be in an anand karaj.

Sounds as dumb as how some apne think they are superior because of their caste.

I've never heard Canadian Sikhs viewing themselves superior to non-Canadian Sikhs; I've heard stuff related to Jathas thinking they are superior to others though.

In the past when most Khatri Sikhs lived in Pakistan, a lot of Khatris also intermarried within the family rather than marrying people from far away and non-khatris. They were also open to marrying with Hindus. That's why we should always be aware of our local sangat, and not get absorbed into mainstream culture.

There's a lot less amritdhari girls than amritdhari guys, even if we are practicing Roti Beti Di Sanjh, amritdhari women can pick the best Singhs of the flock. If the Amritdhari guys aren't strict on marrying Amritdhari only, then you still get people wanting the other qualities.

The Pakistani Sikhs are more open to marrying extended family.

Girls whether they are Amritdhari or not in general have the same things they are looking for, better not to be foolish about it. There might be more of looking for religious values, but other than that, the basics are still important.

No one would willingly give their daughter to a guy that doesn't have money.

Without a Khalistan, it's more negative to live within India and Punjab for the average guy or girl from the west.
