Ummm....I think you will find that, that hall has nothing to do with the Gurdwara. It used to be a factory that someone (independant from the Gurdwara) has bought and done up as a hall. So please don't make assumptions simply because it is right next to the Gurdwara. yes i think that is independant even so still should not be there gurdwara should have brought the building IT STILL SHOULDNT BE NEXT 2 A GURDWARA, U GOT YOUNG SIKH YOUTHS GOIGN 2 PARTIES OVER THERE AND CUZ THEY THINK ITS NEXT 2 A GURDWARA THEY MAY THINK ITS RIGHT 2 PARTY!!! AND I AGREE WITH KKAUR123 BECAUSE PEOPLE R CONFUSED ABOUT WHAT IS SIKHI AND PANJABI! VJKK VJKF! And the Gurdwara should have bought it using what funds exactly? If an independant person wishes to purchase a building, which just happens to be next to a Gurdwara, then no one can do anything about it, I'm afraid! That's the same as saying pubs shouldn't open up next to Gurdware and where that is likely to happen then the Gurdwara should buy the building. Come on!!! That isn't feasible!!!

How is the mosque a waste of space? Come on have a bit of respect! It's a place of worship! And your begining to sound like a NF member! Islam doesn't teach hatered of non-muslims it's the interpretations that teach hated! And you all seem to forget that Bhai Mardana was a muslim, Sian Mian Mir was a muslim...etc etc...

The 'muslims' you are referring to in Guru Ji's time were not muslims they were tyrannts. And come on not all muslims are like that!!! I visited the mosque when I was at school and have been a few times since with my best friend who happens to a muslim. During my school visit we were just told about Islam, just like we were told about Islam during our Religious Education classes. Lol...I was never brainwashed or anything like that. When I use to visit with my best mate, I was questioned about my Sikhi but I never had the urge to convert. I now regularly read books about Islam and other religions as I find them fascinating...BUT I SHALL NEVER EVER LEAVE MY SIKHI!!! I think you should visit the mosque as it is just an education tool. There is nothing wrong with that. And to the person who asked if I would ask or tell my parents to come with me when I visit the mosque....well my parents knew and yes they had their reservations but the reservations were only there when I visited with my friend. Why if your amritdhari should you not got to other other places of worship? At the end of the day, as a Sikh you should respect all other religions and their places of worship. They are all different paths to Vaheguru. There is nothing wrong in going there. You aren't going to suddenly going to loose your Sikhi and become a muslim. Go there to learn about Islam. Better yourself...and as a Sikh you should be learning anyhow!!!
