  7. people just use religion as an excuse to commit such crimes
  8. u said you should respect your parents that is very true.. we should try respect every1 belifs in this world, but respect has got nothing to do with your eating habbits. if one wants to keep bibek and only eat from gursikhs that does not mean he does not respect his non amritdhari parents their was a mona once that was influenced by sikhi and singhs around him n started keeping his kesh and comnig towards sikhi he one day came home wearing a blue dumalla home.... his parents were outraged and said stuff like ... we dont want you to luk like sum bhindrawale terrorist etc..... etc... and his family pulled the boy to the ground and forcibily cut of his kesh which he was trying to keep in this case to respect his parent the boy would have to keep cut hair and not bother about sikhi??
  9. Why do we further our Education? Most of the time we further our studies is due to the fact, we want our Children to be happy in the near future, we don’t want them to struggle in any way, we have large Houses we need good income to help pay the mortgage. We always think about the future, we want to stay content and happy through Money, this will resolve all our worldly affairs. Some study so that people do not call them illiterate. Some study thinking life will become easier through a high position. Some study because; they are forced to by their worldly Parents. Some study for praise and a name. Some spend their entire life in education. Some study to support their Parents, because they have seen a hard life. SOME STUDY FOR THE WELFARE AND BETTERMENT OF THE UNIVERSE AND PANTH. IS THIS TRUE? There are many more reasons we further our education. For all the reasons of studying Daas has mentioned above, one will never find contentment and liberation. One has not learnt how to live in the great will of the Lord Vahiguroo. One becomes wise (SiaaNaa) and tries to predict the future. One has lost many breaths and years of the profit of Naam. After furthering our education we expect life to become much easier and less stressful, but in reality life becomes more difficult and stressful, this is due to the fact with power comes great responsibility. With high flying jobs comes much more commitment and most of the time we physically and mentally have to take work home with us, in which causes us to spend less time with our Family and Kids furthering their education on Gurmat, and most of all loosing profit of Naam. Life in general can become an uphill battle. What does Bhagat Kabeer Jee say about Bhagat Prehalaad Jee when, he was sent to School by his Parents? Prehalaad was not interested in School, as he realised through studying he would loose the profit of Naam. Prehalaad had realized he could not let go of the Lords name, Vahiguroo, for a second, as this would cause suffering to his Soul, so he decided not to study, he was not interested in any worldly affairs, and he feared nobody apart from the great Lord. The great Lord came to his rescue through Nar-Singh (half lion, half man) and rescued his loving devotee Prehalaad, as his Father wanted him to meditate on his Name not the Lords Name, Prehalaad disagreed and left the rest in the will of God. Don’t we want to become Saints like Bhagat Prehalaad Jee and numerous more mentioned in Gurbaanee? Don’t we want to spread the teachings of the Great Lord like these great Saints did? Lets ask ourselves what is the reason we are here? Why are we loosing the profit of Naam? Why are we spending most our time in worldly affairs? Why do we even let go of Naam for a second? This is not Guru Sahibs Hukum. mus mus rovai kubeer kee maaee Kabeer's mother sobs, cries and bewails eae baarik kaisae jeevehi rughuraaee - O Lord, how will my grandchildren live? thununaa bununaa subh thajiou hai kubeer Kabeer has given up all his spinning and weaving, har kaa naam likh leeou sureer and written the Name of the Lord on his body. jub lug thaagaa baaho baehee As long as I pass the thread through the bobbin, thub lug bisurai raam sunaehee I forget the Lord, my Beloved. oushee math maeree jaath julaahaa My intellect is lowly - I am a weaver by birth, har kaa naam lehiou mai laahaa but I have earned the profit of the Name of the Lord. kehuth kubeer sunuhu maeree maaee Says Kabeer, listen, O my mother humuraa ein kaa dhaathaa eaek rughuraaee - the Lord alone is the Provider, for me and my children. 42 Bhagat Kabeer Jee was a weaver by trade, weaving takes very little concentration and thinking. The occupation of a Doctor, Solicitor, Director and so on takes a lot more thought and concentration. Even living the life of a simple weaver Bhagat Kabeer Jee was still upset saying, when I pass the thread through the bobbin I forget the Lords name for a second. Bhagat Kabeer Jees Mother was also worried about the future, but Kabeer Jee lived in the Lords command, and had realized only having faith in the great Lord will resolve all my worldly affairs, and God will provide for my Children. Why do we worry after reading the pure Bachan (words) of great Saints like Kabeer Jee? Sorry to say we have very little faith in God, faith only increases and gets stronger through the profit of Naam. parr parr guddee ludheeahi parr parr bhureeahi saath You may read and read loads of books; you may read and study vast multitudes of books. parr parr baerree paaeeai parr parr guddeeahi khaath You may read and read boat-loads of books; you may read and read and fill pits with them. purreeahi jaethae burus burus purreeahi jaethae maas You may read them year after year; you may read them as many months are there are. purreeai jaethee aarujaa purreeahi jaethae saas You may read them all your life; you may read them with every breath. naanuk laekhai eik gul hor houmai jhukhunaa jhaakh O Nanak, only one thing is of any account: everything else is useless babbling and idle talk in ego. 1 In this Shabad Guru Nanak Dev Jee has made it quite clear through education one will not be liberated, this can be the root cause of Ego and looking down on others. One has to realize the root cause of this rebirth in to human incarnation, the root cause is liberating our Soul through the pure substance of Naam Abhiyaas, so the noose of life and death is cut. A few Gursikhs will argue that we need educated Gursikhs to fight political battles, Daas agrees, but this Sevaa given to these particular Gursikhs by Guru Sahib will not be Parvaan in the Lords court until every breath is full with the loving devotion of Guru Sahibs name, only then this political Sevaa gifted by Guru Sahib will be fulfilled in Chardee Kallaa (high spirits). Athai Pehar (24,7) Naam Abhiyaas is Guru Sahibs Hukum, if we do not meditate Athai Pehar we are turning our back on Guru Sahib Physically and Spiritually. We spend more time in Asool (rules) and discipline and forget the only substance, which will purify the mind and please Guru Sahib, which is Athai Pehar Naam Abhiyaas. This is mandatory in a Gursikhs life without this Guru Sahib says, one does not show enough interest in the love of the Lord, and Guru Sahib goes on to say Sikhee was only created by the Lords name, Shabad. If one has Asool (rules) it is amazing for ones personal Jeevan, but one has to remember Vahiguroo. Guru Sahib says through and through in Baanee, any Karam or Asool in which the Lords Name does not abide are worthless to ones Jeevan and Guru Sahib. SO THEREFORE THE FIRST ASOOL AFTER AMMRIT IS ATHAI PEHAR NAAM ABHIYAAS, PLEASE DO NOT LOOK ON NAAM LIGHTLY, SIKHEE IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT THE KAMAEE (PROFIT) OF NAAM.
  10. good idea penj thing is will panorama or sumink wna cover something like this just yet?? usually it takes a cupla lives b4 they even start realising it if something like this is done soon it is of great benefit 2 sikhs

  14. bhai sahib no 1 will tell you if they have had a glimpse of akal purakh or any spritual experiences they keep them gupt
  15. we as Sikhs should try and keep Bibek as much as possible, as whatever we eat affects our inner state aswell. If we look back in history we will note that many Naam Abhiyaasee Gursikhs were Sarbloh Bibekee, such as Akali Phoola Singh and other Nihangs, Bhai Randhir Singh Ji and his companions, some Taksalis are known to keep Sarbloh Bibek also. Time has let this important Rehat be forgotten, we should try to eat in Sarbloh and keep Bibek as much as possible. We should not point fingers at certain Jathebandeeaa and say they started Sarbloh Bibek, as far as Daas knows, there is only one Jathebandee which is the Khalsa! Although Sarbloh Bibek is an important Rehat, one can do without it if they have the Naam Kamaaee. Though, in our day and age, there are very few enlightened souls that devoted their whole life to Naam. In addition, one should concentrate on purity from the inside more rather than on the outside, because once we get too involved with the outside, then it is very very easy to become arrogant and this way, ego wells up and we stop Japping Naam, which is the biggest disease man can get. Every day we read in Shabad Hazaare: ‘Sahib Tere Naam Vitoh Bind Bind Chuk Chuk Hoe!’ We should sacrifice ourself to this wonderful Naam and then all other Rehats will come following behind with folded hands. The more we Jap Naam, the more easier it becomes to keep these Rehats, because Guru Sahib himself does all your work for you and then everything just happens in Sehaj Avastha. So Sarbloh Bibek is important, but we must instruct our minds also and pay more attention to our soul. One other thing that Daas has come across is discrimination, if one is Sarbloh Bibekee, then they should not discriminate against anyone for not being like them. They should cook for their family etc, and encourage others to follow their path. Otherwise, if one discourages someone from keeping this Rehat, then that is also a sin.

  19. One should not fall in to the trap of laziness after a Rehansbhaaee Keertan. Before A Rehansbhaaee Keertan Some Gurmukhs sleep a couple of hours in order to sit through the Rehansbhaaee Keertan. Daas' personal opinion is that one should leave this to nature, sleep when it comes and always stay focussed on Naam Simran with every breath Athai Pehar (24/7). This is when one meditates in ones sleep 'Ajapaa Jaap state', otherwise one is preparing for the future, Gurmukhs live in the now which is Naam. It is not a bad thing sleeping before a Rehansbhaaee Keertan in order to sit through one, it is ones personal opinion; but don’t fall in to the trap of laziness! mun maerae anadhin jaag har chaeth O my mind, remain awake and aware night and day, and think of the Lord. aapunee khaethee rakh lai koonj purraigee khaeth Protect your crops, or else the birds shall descend on your farm. mun keeaa eishaa pooreeaa subadh rehiaa bhurupoor The desires of the mind are fulfilled, when one is filled to overflowing with the Shabad. bhai bhaae bhugath kurehi dhin raathee har jeeo vaekhai sudhaa hudhoor One who fears, loves, and is devoted to the Dear Lord day and night, sees Him always close at hand. suchai subadh sudhaa mun raathaa bhrum gaeiaa sureeruhu dhoor Doubt runs far away from the bodies of those, whose minds remain forever attuned to the True Word of the Shabad. nirumul saahib paaeiaa saachaa gunee geheer The Immaculate Lord and Master is found. One should come home, sleep no more than 2 hours after doing Sohilaa Sahib and start the day fresh. Doing Ishnaan (physical bathing) will refresh the body, personal hygiene is also essential, completing ones Nitname (daily routine) of Baanee will prepare one for the day ahead spiritually, as all this is laahaa (profit). Some Gurmukhs do not sleep at all as they have realized they do not want to loose everything they have earned, through laziness, they will come home, prepare for more Sangat and Keertan, most probably nip down to the local Gurdwara, as they realize life is here to earn profit (laahaa). praanee thoon aaeiaa laahaa lain O mortal, you came here to earn a profit. lugaa kith kufukurrae subh mukudhee chulee rain What useless activities are you attached to? Your life-night is coming to its end. 1Pause (Ang 43) They also realize they have enjoyed Guru Sahibs Sangat so much they find it difficult to stay away. Physical bathing is not essential if one wants to earn more profit of Naam Baanee right away, this is also known as Ishnaan (spiritual bathing), however one is refreshed through physical Ishnaan. One should also remember single minded concentration of many hours of Naam and Baanee is a lot more equivalent to physical sleep as Daas has mentioned this in previous posts. The main thing is we are receiving bodily rest whilst we are seated at the Keertans. Spiritualists have said 1 hour of single-minded meditation is appropriate to 8 hours sleep. Some Gurmukhs will say coming home and reading Baanee is not important, as one has been blessed all night in the Rehansbhaaee. Daas agrees but one has to remember daily routine is also very important as this is also more laahaa and extra blessings, helping one to progress further in ones Jeevan (life) SO PLEASE DON’T FALL IN TO THE TRAP OF LAZINESS AFTER A REHANSBHAAEE KEERTAN (Ang 156) ਰੈਣਿ ਗਵਾਈ ਸੋਇ ਕੈ ਿਦਵਸੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਖਾਇ ॥ rain guvaaee soe kai dhivus guvaaeiaa khaae The nights are wasted sleeping, and the days are wasted eating. hIry jYsw jnmu hY kaufI bdly jwie ]1] heerae jaisaa junum hai kouddee budhulae jaae Human life is such a precious jewel, but it is being lost in exchange for a mere shell. naam n jaaniaa raam kaa You do not know the Name of the Lord. moorrae fir paashai pushuthaahi rae You fool - you shall regret and repent in the end! anuthaa dhun dhurunee dhurae anuth n chaahiaa jaae You bury your temporary wealth in the ground, but how can you love that which is temporary? praem bhugath raathee kurai bhulukae raaj dhuaarai jaaee In the night he would immerse in loving devotion and in the morning he would serve at the door of the king. aaeae sunth puraahunae keeruthun hoaa rain subaaee On one night some sadhus came to him and the whole night was spent in singing the Lord's praises purugutt kurai bhuguth vaddiaaee God himself manifests the grandeur of the devotee. Like Daas has said in previous posts, one has to read the Shabads in full in order get the full essence and to realize the full true meaning of the Shabads. In this Shabad Bhai Sahib Gurdaas Jee says that Bhagat Sain saw the loving devotion of Bhagat Kabir towards Vahiguroo, God and similarly became a disciple of Bhagat Ramanand, in the night he would immerse in loving devotion towards God and in the morning he would serve the King. One night some Saints came to visit Sain Jee and they sung the Lords praises (Keertan) all night, he was imbued in the love of these Rangley Sajjan (divinely coloured friends) he did not want them to leave. Sain Jee did not perform service at the King’s palace the next morning. God in Sains manifestation served the King, and the King was overjoyed with Sains service. The time came and the Saints had to leave, Bhagat Sain Jee bid them fairwell and returned to the Kings palace, the King saw him from a distance and shouted him nearby and offered his own robes to the Bhagat, he said “you have overpowered me” these words were heard by everyone at the palace. bhuguthaa kee paij rukhehi thoo aapae eaeh thaeree vaddiaaee You Yourself save the honor of Your devotees; this is Your Glory, O Lord. junum junum kae kilavikh dhukh kaattehi dhubidhaa ruthee n raaee You cleanse them of the sins and the pains of countless incarnations; You love them without even an iota of duality. hum moorr mugudh kish boojhehi naahee thoo aapae dhaehi bujhaaee I am foolish and ignorant, and understand nothing. You Yourself bless me with understanding. (Ang 1155) This is the power of singing the Lords praises all night in the company of the Saints. The word Rehan subha aee means from night day has come, alternately serving the lord all night the day has arrived. Rehan=night, subha=day, aee=arrived. Why is it important to sit through a Rehansbaaee Keertan all night without leaving the Darbaar (Hall in where sangat sit)? When Daas first came in to Sikhee, Daas was introduced to Rehansbhaaees by some Gurmukhs, Daas still remembers Daas' first Rehansbhaaee; Daas will never forget this it was like being in heaven. Daas was more familiar with doing all nighters at clubs, never went to a Gurdwara and all of a sudden was doing an all nighter sitting in Guru Sahibs hazooree singing the praises of the Lord in amongst the Saints. Wow heaven on hell, Guru Sahib has called the Sangat Saints where the Lords praises are being sung. saath sookh sehuj dhun oupujee saadhoo sung nivaasaa jeeo The music of intuitive peace, poise and tranquility wells up within; I dwell in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. 1 (Ang 105) Daas struggled through the Rehansbhaaee, Daas had to leave the Darbaar 2 to 3 times. As Daas continued attending Rehansbaaees Daas noticed a few Gurmukh Sajjan who sat all night (7pm to 5am) Daas was totally amazed, after experiencing this Daas did Ardaas (prayer) to Guru Sahib asking him if he would please bless Daas with the Anand (ecstasy) and effort to sit through full Rehansbhaaees and every Darbaar Daas attended, this Ardaas came true through the blessings of Guru Sahib. One has to be subconsciously aware of Guru Sahib when one does Ardaas, when the Ardaas comes true one has to thank Guru Sahib as we can not do anything through personal effort. biruthaa koe n jaae j aavai thudh aahi Those who come to You with love and faith are never turned away empty-handed. 9 (Ang 961) Daas' personal opinion is that it is very important for one to attend Rehansbhaaees above this it is more important to sit through the full Rehansbhaaee. Before we enter the Darbaar Sahib one should use the lavatory and eat if one is hungry therefore there will be no physical hindrances or excuses for one to leave the Darbaar. When we leave the Darbaar once, it becomes very difficult to focus afterwards as one gets stuck in indreaan de ras (taste of five senses). kehai naanuk hor an rus sabh veesurae jaa har vusai man aae Says Nanak, all other tastes and essences of the 5 senses are forgotten, when the Lord comes to dwell within the mind. 32 (Ang 917) When we come to Guru Sahibs Darbaar there should only be one focus - this is only of Naam and Baanee anything else is a delusion of ego, we should not come to meet friends, have meetings, discussions, socialize etc as these are of no use to our mind and soul, and one will loose focus of the true reason why one is here. Before one sits down one should greet Guru Sahib with Fateh (Vahiguroo Jee Kaa Khalsaa, Vahiguroo Jee Kee Fateh), the Khalsa (pure beings) belong to God, victory is Gods. Daas usually does a little Ardaas (prayer) here to Guru Sahib asking Guru Sahib for Anand in the Keertan and his support for Daas to sit through the full Rehansbhaaee in total Anand, if this Ardaas is done in full faith it will always come true, as Daas is aware what is going on outside the Darbaar is a waste of time. Daas is aware of three ways in which will help sit through a full Rehansbhaaee Keertan, ten hours of constant praising the lord. Firstly one focuses ones concentration single mindedly on the Gurmantar (Vahiguroo) and practices a ten hour Abhiyaas on Naam, using their tongue, breath or mind, depending on what stage one is at. punchaa kaa gur eaek dhiaan The chosen ones meditate single-mindedly on the Guru. (Ang 3) Secondly, one can train ones mind to listen to the Keertan and listen to the Gurmantar at the same time, this takes a lot of practice. gurumukh mun sumujhaaeeai aathum raam beechaar The Gurmukhs train their minds to contemplate the Lord, the Supreme Soul. 2 (Ang 18) Thirdly, one can focus ones concentration in the crown Chakra in ones head and sing along with the Keertan loud all night, doing this one will be aware of Guru Sahib (Saabhdhaanee) because ones concentration will be Tikkhee (poised) above in the crown Chakra of the head and one will not be distracted by anything as all one will hear is the praises of the Lord. Daas' personal advice is only use one of the three through the full Rehansbhaaee at any one time, if we chop and change we will loose our focus. Praatan (olden day) Singhs are seen singing Keertan with their head in the air in many photographs (the head in the air is a sign of concentration in the higher consciousness). Ones stays in Anand for 1 hour with ones head in the air then gets tired lack of Abhiyaas and concentration. Praatan Gurmukhs lived in the higher consciousness and constantly had their heads raised in the air through Keertan as this naturally happens when one is in the state of Bliss; Gursikhs live in this Anand. The length of time it happens for is down to an individual’s Jeevani (earning of Naam and Baanee in ones life) raajaa raam anehudh kinguree baajai The Unstruck Melody of the Sovereign Lord's Harp vibrates; jaa kee dhisatt naadh liv laagai by His Glance of Grace, we are lovingly attuned to the Sound-current of the Naad. bhaathee gugun sinngiaa ar chunngiaa kunuk kulus eik paaeiaa The Tenth Gate of my crown chakra is the distilling fire, and the channels of the Ida and Pingala are the funnels, to pour in (naam) and empty out the golden vat. (Ang 92) Obviously we will struggle at first as our concentration will be weak but with Abhiyaas (practice) if we hang on in there the concentration becomes a lot stronger (total anand) all night. The mind forces us to get up and makes weak excuses this is the battle we have to conquer, we should not struggle in one position, if one needs to move around one should feel free, as pain will take away Anand of Keertan, one should feel free to do Chohar Sahib Sevaa (Sevaa behind Guru Sahib) or even switch legs but main focus is to stay in Darbaar Sahib; this is where the true blessings are. With Abhiyaas this practice becomes very easy and our account of Naam and Baanee rises. With practice and blessing one will sit through Rehansbhaaees all night in one Chawnkrda (position), again personal Jeevanee and concentration. koottun soe j mun ko koottai He alone is a pimp, who pounds down his mind. mun koottai tho jum thae shoottai Pounding down his mind, he escapes from the Messenger of Death. kutt kutt mun kusuvuttee laavai Pounding and beating his mind, he puts it to the test; so koottun mukath buhu paavai such a pimp attains total liberation. koottun kisai kehuhu sunsaar Who is called a pimp in this world? sugul bolun kae maahi beechaar In all speech, one must carefully consider. naachun soe j mun sio naachai He alone is a dancer, who dances with his mind. jhooth n putheeai puruchai saachai The Lord is not satisfied with falsehood; He is pleased only with Truth. eis mun aagae poorai thaal So play the beat of the drum in the mind. eis naachun kae mun rukhuvaal The Lord is the Protector of the dancer with such a mind. bujaaree so j bujaarehi sodhai She alone is a street-dancer, who cleanses her body-street, paach puleetheh ko purubodhai and educates the five passions. no naaeik kee bhugath pushaanai She who embraces devotional worship for the Lord so baajaaree hum gur maanae - I accept such a street-dancer as my Guru. thusukur soe j thaath n kurai He alone is a thief, who is above envy, eindhree kai juthan naam ouchurai and who uses his sense organs to chant the Lord’s Name. kuhu kubeer hum aisae lukhun Says Kabeer, these are the qualities of the one dhunn gurudhaev ath roop bichukhun I know as my Blessed Divine Guru, who is the most beautiful and wise. 4710 In this shabad Bhagat Kabir Jee talks about beating ones mind physically and mentally as this filthy mind does not understand any other language, it is always stuck in the taste of the senses, this is when the Gurmukh is liberated. Why does Daas recommend Rehansbhaaee Keertans? Firstly, this is a practice in which definitely takes place once a month if not more. Secondly, one will not receive this type of Sangat in Ghirastee Jeevan (house holder in society) regularly as often as once a month, Daas' personal opinion is that they should be held more often. In this Sangat are spiritually blessed spirits with an amazing Jeevan and Nitnem (daily routine), sitting in the same Sangat as these Gursikhs one has to be truly blessed (Vadbhagee). vuddubhaagee mil sunguthee suchaa subudh visaahu O most fortunate ones, join the Sangat, the Blessed Congregation; purchase the True Word of the Shabad. (Ang 46) Thirdly, Rehansbhaaees are attended by Naujvaan (young) and older, mostly Amritdhaaree Gursikhs from many Jathebandeeaan (organizations) as these Gurmukhs realize the true essence of Keertan. gurumukh budae kudhae naahee jinuaa anthar surath giaan The Gurmukhs never grow old; within them is intuitive understanding and spiritual wisdom. sudhaa sudhaa har gun ruvehi anthar sehuj dhiaan They chant the Praises of the Lord, forever and ever; deep within, they intuitively meditate on the Lord. oue sudhaa anundh bibaek rehehi dhukh sukh eaek sumaan They dwell forever in blissful knowledge of the Lord; they look upon pain and pleasure as one and the same. thinaa nudhuree eiko aaeiaa subh aathum raam pushaan They see the One Lord in all, and realize the Lord, the Supreme Soul of all. 44 (Ang 1413) Daas used the word older Gursikhs, subconsciously Daas felt bad so used this Shabad to prove Gursikhs might look older physically but mentally and spiritually are a lot healthier and wiser, ONLY the ones who live in Guru Sahibs hukum of Athe Pehar Naam Abhiyaas (24/7 Naam Jap). Last of all every Human being has the potential to sit through a full Rehansbhaaee but one does not believe in ones self, sitting through a Rehansbaahee makes a Gurmukhs Amrit velaa a lot stronger, as one thinks if I can do it in Sangat, then I can most certainly do it at home, one needs to have faith and always needs to be positive, ones Nitnem (daily routine and Kamaaee meditating during the day becomes a lot stronger and focused). Daas would like to say some bitter words - if one can not sit through full Rehansbhaaees or does not attempt to, it will become very difficult for ones concentration and Jeevan (life) to develop further and one might not receive Jeevan Mukhatee (liberated whilst alive) in this life. Bentee: Please if one comes to Rehansbhaaee sit through the full Rehansbhaaee and one will realize an amazing change in ones Jeevan, Bhull Chuk Maaf. Praatan Singhs sat through full Akhand Paaths; 48 hours of Abhiyaas. Rehansbhaaee is only a fifth of an Akhand Paath, we are decreasing in Abhiyaas as time goes on. subadh murai mun maarai apunaa mukuthee kaa dhur paavaniaa Those who die in the Shabad and subdue their own minds, obtain the door of liberation. sunth subhaa gur paaeeai mukath pudhaaruth dhaen In the Society of the Saints, the Guru is found. He is the Treasure of Liberation, the Source of all good fortune. 1Pause (Ang 18) It is very rare you get so many Amritdhaaree Gursikhs together at any one time, so earn Lahaa (profit). praanee thoon aaeiaa laahaa lain O mortal, you came here to earn a profit. lugaa kith kufukurrae subh mukudhee chulee rain What useless activities are you attached to? Your life-night is coming to its end. 1Pause (Ang 43) When Guru Sahib talks about a profit in this Shabad, Guru Sahib refers to Naam and Baanee, Guru Sahib says ones night is passing away in vain. Lets earn our profit of Naam and Baanee and sit through full Rehansbhaaees for one to progress a lot further in ones personal Jeevan (life). Rehansbhaaee Keertans helped Daas amazingly in Daas' Jeevan as ones concentration most certainly develops further. One should attend Naam Abhiyaas camps, Keertan Darbaars, camps in general, divaans in general and persuade ones mind not to get up until after smaapthee (end), the mind will make many excuses as it is ones enemy until it is liberated. Rehansbhaaee Keertans are once every month in different cities and there is usually transport available if one wants to know more please visit the a.k.j. Site: www.akj.org. har keeruthun sunai har keeruthun gaavai Listening to the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises, and singing the Lord's Kirtan, this jun dhookh nikatt nehee aavai misfortune shall not even come near you. har kee ttehul kuruth jun sohai Working for the Lord, His humble servants look beautiful. thaa ko maaeiaa agan n pohai The fire of Maya (attachment to materialistic pleasure) does not touch them. man than mukh har naam dhaeiaal Within their minds, bodies and mouths, is the Name of the Merciful Lord. naanuk thujeealae avar junjaal Nanak has renounced other worldly entanglements. 452121 Vahigurooooooooooooooooo! If anybody is aware of regular Abhiyaas programs that take place around the world please confirm to the Sangat by replying in the comments box as one will only reach higher planes of spirituality by single mindedly sitting through lengthy Abhiyaas programs (practices).
  22. one should try to to watch tv less if not stop because we waste countless hours infront of the tv specialy these soaps etc...
  23. Today we are seeing some very dark days for our Panth. Not because of our enemies attacking us or trying to destroy us, that has been happening since our creation, but because we ourselves are our own enemies. People in Sikh appearance are amongst us eating at our roots. We ourselves allow ourselves to be fooled by them. Our "leadership" is filled with failed old men who talk big but have no jeevan or character. These "leaders" will be remembered one day as those idiots who led the Panth to its biggest defeats in history. The once proud Sikh community is a joke in India and abroad and is the first group who have been defeated in an armed struggle by the use of force. Text books printed today all note that Punjab and the Sikh Movement is a unique exception to the rule that no armed insurgency can be put down by force alone. All I see before me is the need to step away from this old and failed leadership. Its time to recognise that our institutions have rotted away from the inside out because of these people who have sold their souls and compromised every Khalsa rehit. But I am absolutely optimistic. Why? I see the youth. I see strong Khalsa youth coming up all over and I have a strong hope that these youth will never make any compromise in Khalsa principles and rehit. They will stand for Dashmesh jee and not sell out for personal gain or to appease anybody. This Tat-Khalsa Guru Sahib is creating will drive out the Mallech-Khalsa who are destroying us today. The following is based on Pr. Satbir Singh's book "Rabab to(n) Nagara" on Why the Khalsa was victorious in the past, and why it will be in the future. 1) The Khalsa has full confidence and faith that they are the rightful and true rulers of this land. Guru Gobind Singh has promised us "Raj Karega Khalsa". This is his promise to us. When we become Khalsa and take those rehits, we should have confidence that Dashmesh PIta is with us in all our fights. Kalgidhar Jee once said to his Khalsa, "Where the Singhs are fighting for Dharam for Parupkaar and Sikhi, you will forever see me fighting along side my Sikhs as well. When Abdali asked Baba Ala Singh why the Sikhs never finish, Baba Ala Singh replied, "Guru Gobind Singh has given the Khalsa this blessing that wherever one Sikh falls for the Dharam, two more will come to take his place". 2) The Sikhs know their land. Sikhs are sons of the soil. Punjab is ours. We know every village, every forest, every swamp and every hill. We are the rightful heirs of Punjab. This is the land of Guru Nanak and no foreign power has any right to it. 3) Khalsa has high character and high jeevan. This has been the fault that has stopped us in the recent past. We have abandoned our rehit. When we are ready to sacrifice our lives but not our principles, victory is certain. Khalsa does not harm those who come to its shelter or surrender. Khalsa does not so much as touch another woman or her wealth. The Khalsa rules of battle were so high that if an enemy's turban fell off during battle, the Sikh would say, "Take care of your turban. I'm not here to interfere with your honour..." This is a contrast to today where Sikhs (more accurately, Malechh Khalsa) when fighting other Sikhs first grab for the dastaar and have no shame in even pulling Kesh. 4) Khalsa would give up Moh (attachment) of all worldly possessions and their homes. They would make their saddles their homes. For the cause of the Panth it was a saying that the Khalsa never put his back down to rest but even slept while walking around. If they were wounded in battle, they would consider the blow to be a holy blessing. The Khalsa would never retreat, only run back and then run forward again. Kazi Nur Muhammed writes, "If they ever run from battle, do not consider this to be a retreat. This is their strategy of war. Watch out! Save yourself from this trap of theirs. Once again, watch out!. It is this tenacity and selflessness that will come to the rehitvan Khalsa. It is this attitude that will result in Khalsa Raj. So what can we do? Build your jeevan. Make your rehit so strong that nothing can move it. Build your relationship with Guru Sahib so strong that it can endure any storm. And never compromise your principles. Our old leadership is a joke because it sold out. Guru Sahib will never give his blessings to sell outs. When we stand by every one of Guru Sahib's hukams, there is no doubt we will be victorious.
