  1. Yeah Bro, basically it's a Shabad sung or based on the monsoon season, so it's sung in Raag Megh which according to the indian classical system, is a Raag sung during this particular season. It's a versatile raag, first time I heard it sung by this singer in Delhi, I was hooked B) The guy on Tabla is my Dad, he taught me from when I was 5ish, and he teaches at Guru Nanak Secondary School in Hayes. Glad you enjoyed it, although Punjabi radio had to seal their windows with sellotape afterwards lol. Gurfateh
  2. Oooh! I'm thinking of sneaking to the 7th by the lift, they better have lifts too man!
  3. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Disclaimer da matlab kee hunda ji? Bro, do what you want with it, who knows, might get all that ear wax out, urgh! Apologies to people on lunch, lol. Gurfateh
  4. Mohammad's God is egotistical and constantly competes with Shaitaan :T: His lifestyle tells us what kind of 'Prophet' he was. Bik, I have come across Muslims saying that Kafir is one who knows the 'Truth' but doesn't embrace it too, so this is a recent development? Does it go against the Quraan? When I asked a Muslim about this, he said if there was a remote tribe in some far off place who wasn't exposed to the truth of Islaam and this did not 'revert' then Allah did not punish them. I guess that made sense, but where would these 'half-baked Kaffirs' go then? Mini-Hell?! Gurfateh
  5. @ Bik you are soooooooo Thanks to my Bro's and sisters who listened and encouraged me, you're awesome! Im just a Manmukh, trying to learn more from all of you and my Guru Ji. Although I needed some 'Vicks' afterwards. The guy called me Amarjyot for some reason, lol. That made me laugh, so the notes came out too fast and I went red like this <----lol. Gurfateh
  6. Gurfateh All religions are NOT equal. People who say that are being politically correct. If it was true, there would be no need for Sikhism. One religion which is a big joke and that will never change is; Islam. Gurfateh
  7. OMG, i sleep like the whole day! does that mean im going to die? i dont think thats true, how can someone die if they sleep :T: oops this isnt sarbloh kaur, its her sister. i just happened to be on this site and when i saw this post i nearly died of shock lol.
  8. Guys, thanks for all your posts, learnt loads. This guy has vowed to convert me Thing is, when we debate with these people, it makes you stronger, some people can walk away, I can't do that, because it's like losing the argument, so Im reading about Islaam and Sikhism daily so I can on one hand improve my own knowledge, and then prove to him that Sikhi isn't an amalgamation of Islam and Hinduism @ Lot's of people say to me 'turn a blind eye', but when these people challenge you, you should be able to defend yourself, physically and mentally, isn't that what being a Khalsa is all about? This guy says allegedly that he 'converts on average, 2 Christians a week', and he also started this email off by telling me a 21 year old Sikh girl from B'gham had converted recently and she has hidden the fact from her parents and now lives in Southall, he said she approached him in a Islam chatroom for advice. I know he's BS-ing, to make me feel bad before starting the debate, but who knows, makes me sad. He's very well read on all religions though, and he follows what he calls the 'Salafi' way, which condemns what the Mughals did to us, terrorist groups an d people who treat people with harshness by dismissing them as Kaffirs. He ain't a Shi'aa though. He uses very well thought out arguments to place doubts in people's minds, the only things they keep going on about is 'reincarnation' being a Hindu thing and the concept of Vaheguru. Gurfateh Ps. RK and Rochak Ji, thanks for your posts, really touching.
  9. During an email exchange with a Muslim, he sent me the following email. They find it difficult to accept Vaheguru is in everything. Wanted to share this. All I wanted to do was present some aspects of Islaam to you. That was all. But all you're intent on doing is transforming this into a debate, which is sad. In my experience it shows insecurity. All I wanted was to attract you towards Islaam and make you realise how foolish the saying of those people are who say that God is everywhere and in everything. And I know you cannot defend this. And I know you will shy away when I ask you is God in your tummy. "Timeless (eternal) but within Time (non-eternal by necessity)" = CONTRADICTION. However, for those who don't want to see the obvious, Allaah has placed a disease in their hearts and He increases their disease. That disease is: Following ones forefathers even if their stance doesn't make any stance but on the contrary makes a mockery of Allaah and his blessed state. All I did was ask you questions about your notion of God, and you turn around in this cold way and start this...'up yours' attitude. Why? Is it because Islaam is making sense to you but you don't want to accept it because of the consequences, as a result you start comparing Islaam with the Moghuls. Anyone who knows a little about the Moghuls knows they were far away from true Islaam - the proof, most of them used to worship saints and follow heretical sufi ways. So don't you dare place me in their category. As for your stance about the INCARNATION of God into man, even partial, it is the most disgusting thing a human being can say. Almighty God can be seen in a the manifested form of a human?! How?! It wouldn't surprise me if you hold human beings with greater respect than God Himself with this absurd notion that human beings can be a manifestation of Him, glorified be Allaah from the false tongues of men. The great scholar Ibnul Qayyim (who preceded sikhism) said that the saying of those who say that Allaah is everywhere and everything is Allaah, this is more digusting than what the Christians say, i.e. God incarnated. They at least restrict it to a human, but these others, they say that God is everywhere even in the filthiest of places. Only the intellect which is corrupted could envisage and accept such an idea as this. I don't understand you...but I'll have patience and see what you have to offer now that I've learnt you people are no more than the Christians. It that has come as a major shock, more knowing you have begun to accept this only because Holy Book says this. We'll see if it stands up to criticism insha'allaah. And I still pray that Allaah open your heart up to Islaam and to the correct elevated understanding of Allaah and not understanding of the pantheists. Gurfateh
  10. Gur Parmesar Eko Jaan The Guru and Vaheguru are one and the same. The essence is one. Guru Ji said do not worship me, because He did not want us to worship him in the human form, we would become to attached to it, this is why the Gurgaddi is given to Guru Granth Sahib Ji. We must look beyond the human form, so Guru Ji passed on the Jyot to our Shabad Guru. This does not mean the Guru is not Vaheguru. As for Guru Ji testing Bhai Lehna Ji, well to give someone something, or to empty something into a vessel, you need to confirm if it is empty. Bhai Lehna Ji was not filled with ego and the rubbish generated from being immersed in the 5 vices, so He acted as a vessel to recieve the divine Jyot. His devotion and selfless sewa was revealed to us as a lesson, as a guide as to how we should treat our Guru. Gurfateh
  11. What's the specific time for Amrit Vela?!
  12. Congrats Bhaji for deciding to become a Khalsa, it's a blessing, and Guru Ji has chosen you SOGGSJ bro gave some good advice, I echo his post! Gurfateh Ps. Let us know when you have taken Amrit Ji!
  13. I agree with Ghulam Ji. Lust is the lower denominator, the lower part of love. It's like the mud surrounding the lotus, the mud is necessary for the lotus flower to bloom. Kaam in the sense which our Guru's warned us against, is the kind that makes someone desire other people out of wedlock. if Kaam controls you, then it leads to destruction of the self, and takes you away from Waheguru. What's wrong with desiring your wife or your husband? I agree with the bro who said attitudes so anti-sex are going to make us mechanical and I think this kind of thinking is similar to the ways some ascetic Hindu's think of sex. Anyway, I have a cold, so probably didn't make much sense, better stop. Gurfateh!
