Vaheguroo jee ka khalsa vaheguroo jee kee fateh bhenjee, I dont thnik your friend should result to bleaching, wxing, cutting... the "amritdharees" that get up to such things are kidding themselves.. and do not have full faith in guru jee. I can understand that it must be VERY hard to go to school everyday and everyone looking at you etc. You might not beable to understand.. but she has an amazing gift.. guru jee has blessed her with so much hair. A singhnee once came up to me in a camp.. and said..started talking about how a lot of singhees do beadbi of their kesh..on the their face, yet keep neatly tied dastars etc..(i dont get that) but anyway she said that she wishes that she was blessed with that much hair. People just dont appriciate what god has given to them. 'Guru jee gives and gives so much, that (we) get tired of recieving' . I think it is very important that your friend keeps sangat of amritdharee gursikhs who are on the same path as her.. and encourage her to have one to one talks to them. Sangat is verry important..gursikhs will inspire your friend so much, that she wont even thinking of cutting her kesh again. Tell her to keep doing ardas, japping naam, doing seva, reading bani, attending keerta progs etc. Dont follow the society of kaljug..which is completely blinding you from the true path!. i agree with 'S1ngh'! singh 1983.. i think uve started a good topic. everything ur saying is true...but are we jealous of their actually gursikhi jeevans? or.. are we jealous of the respect people show them..etc? hmm..

your right im no one. Thats just my opinion bhai sahib, sorry if i did offend you. I don't understand...not going to the prom is not cutting all communication links with society..you can still go to work.. talk to people and everything..how can a prom be clean when ther is music playing that hasnt any revelance to sikhi? How do you think other gursikhs that don't have proms have a link the society! Ok, it is possible to jap naam while anywhere.. but u know what, me for one, havnt got that much of a high jeevan tht i can do that.. I think we need reminding of what jaaping naam actually is! aakaa jeevaa visreh man jao, AKAN OKHA SAACHA NAO! sooo.. you're saying when you do paath and jap naam, you do it with ik man ik chit? Its not a place where gursikhs should go though. What are we? we are saint soldiers..! Could you see baba deep singh or any high jeevan wala gursikh going to a prom to have a laugh with ther mates? I dont think this is being fanatic at all. no one sed being a sikh was easy, you just need faith and determination. We need to be strong from the inside. If you guys start going to proms, party etc.. you make the WHOLE PANTH look bad! Guru jee tells us to do gursikha dee sangat.. by going to a prom.. we are going against gurus hukam. Ok, You could say 'guru jee didnt tell us to not go to a prom' Why do we need everything spelled out for us these days... are we that thick??! At the end of the day.. we ourselves should no right from wrong... right? The only wy we are going to know that is by reading BANI. tell me.... do a sukhmani sahib.. and tell me if u still feel like going to the prom.. or go sit in a rehnsbhai keertan for 10 hours.. or even five minutes!!.. tell me if u still wana go to that prom. The sangat we are around has a HUGE affect on us.. bani tell us this! Gursikhoo... wake up! We've got a thin and long path ahead of us... and we can't afford to loose one breath without vaheguroo in mind! I gursikh came to a camp and told us he knew this other gursikh.. that put a sticker on his mirror.. so everytym we tied his dastar, evrry morning he would see this sticker... the sticker had clearly written on it in bold printed letters. Goal of today : To reach sachkand How amazing... Everyday of our lives.. we should be trying to get to that goal.. and if we reach for that goal eevryday single day.. we will become closer and closer to that goal!
