  1. vahegru. Can anyone help me? I recall an article about a bibi who wore a dastar after attending khalsacamp. It was a very inspirational account and definatley needs to be utilised. Here is a photograph of the bibi ji from the khalsacamp website http://www.khalsacamp.com/uk/archive/image.../KamDastaar.jpg I am sure some of you remember this article
  2. such weddings can only take place if both individuals are gursikhs, complementing one another.
  3. I try not to reward myself with any food or water until i finish my nitnem. Wash your hair every morning. This will humidify the air near your face making it much easier to do simran without your throat drying out.
  4. 5-6 hours is ample time to rest at night Get to sleep by 10:30 - sounds late, but i speak from a realistic point of view. Try to wake at 4am, make sure you're out of bathroom by 4:30. The quicker you're out is a bonus. Simran for 10-15 minutes if its first time. Do ur Nitnem and no excuse for rushing or not finishing as there is lots of time to do it. Get some rest afterwards. If you experience some dodgy dreams, don't worry its all the dirt in the back of your mind being brought forward in the cleansing process. Just open your eyes. Play keertan when ur resting.
  5. i will take amrit once i am 100% ready i will take amrit after college i will take amrit after university i will take amrit after i get married i will take amrit when i have kids i will take amrit when my kids get married i will take amrit when i retire i will take amrit just before i die oops too late. Goodbye chance Hello 8.4 million cycle of hell take it at the Next amrit sanchar. If you ever feel you're not ready for it, THE DEVIL IN YOUR MIND SPEAKS! :D
  6. I don't know how others feel about bibi Harjit Kaur's style; doesnt give proper justice to the shabad. Seems to do simran a million miles per hour within seconds of starting and with random tukks. For a moment I thought I was in the wrong thread, but i'm not cos we're discussing keertan here. If it's waheguru jaap you are talking about, then bibi harjit is okay.

the rass from shabad should give the urge to do simran. In keertan the whole emphasis is the shabad and so kirtani who break out in to simran in the middle of shabad or even at the start without really contemplating the essence of the shabad are doing more of a sound-good thing.
  9. in what way can we assist you problems? help to understand the situation or to break contact with this person?
