did u get ur answer? im finding out that there are lots of posts or questions that are unanswered and the posts get lost! did u read what the AKJ site had? could u please share ur answer to ur question if u already got it. thats one thing that gets me upset, whenpeople get the answer for tehir question, but never post summry or answer to their question. people like me get lost, because we never get the answer u know what im saying?

first of thznk for replying i understand that. u are right. In reality we all the same(soul) and jus a journey we are going through. but didn't our Guru sahib ji tell us to respect and treate others better in this world? the next world has things to do with what one does...one's deeds and ofocurse the ultimate goal of being One! aight i'll ask this question then.. why was there need to chnage the name of woman/female to Kaur? and man/male name to Singh? i know this probabaly seem like i am being worldly...and not understanding the spritual meaning.. only Guru Sahib ji knows... but i wana know what evryone thingz of this. why was there need to do such a WORLDY THING? why not leave it the way it was? i agree that it shouldnt matter how otherz treate us or think of us..i really dont care and i do get in troble for thinking like that lol but who CARES? i am only going to give account for my self not others. again what should i say to others about why i wear dastar and why is my name Princess? Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! jus wana discuss this a bit on what everyone thinks of this! the other day one of my roommates asked me why i wear "dastar" what does it mean. with bucnh of otehr sikhi related questions! i am just going to make this topic on the Dastar! first i told her how itz to cover my hair given by God, and is out of respect to waheguru(God). and it helps me in my spiritual life! then she asked me the same question again the next day. then...i told her tht my last name means Kaur=Princess, and Dastar is my Crown! she was like wow! she was amazed at that. then with little pause she said "So Do Sikh's treate you like a princess?" i hasitated to answer that but then with Guru Maharjs kirpa... i go "well the ones who understand life and are spritual people or Sikhs do" the whole day that question kept on ringin in my ears...makin me think of peole around me who are Sikh..but dont know how to treate a Princess! what life is about...the value of Human life! Also i asked my self how many times i actually think of my self as a princess? how many times do i treate my self and other Kaurs like princesses? The reason im bringing this is...to relate it to whats happening to teh Women of the Panth and in the world! i didnt want to lie to my roommate..nor did i wanted her to belive something that was "IDEAL"! There are many people out their in different religions who have found the truth within! please do not devide our selves... Sikhi is jus love(my experince) and it conncets us to the whole universe....everythingggg seen unseen....existing non-existing its about Humanity and soul within our selves.. not this religion and that religion thats what the message i belive is for the Learner (Sikh) you will not be able to hateanyone or see anything if you follwo the devine bhul chuk muaff waheguru!!!! (and yes being a sikh=amritdhari...youwill be able to see it as a gift ...if not yet but soon you will with Akals/univers creatorz kirpa)

... sorry the post was getting long so tahst why im posting it in two diffent posts in olden days ion punjab...people were respected for their character, even now people are...but our punjabi people have moved from punjab and are living in different cities...and dont really have a community thats reallly a loving community which lives like a family. No one wants to hear bad thing about theiur family/child etc from anyone else! they say NONE OF YOUR BUSNESS.... where as i have seen, and this is how peopel were in Punjab before,very well educated people who know that these types of critisizems and comments from the soceity(our brothers and sisters) are very important. as we all are educated and know that critizim helps us grow...no one is perfect , and we should learn from others. we can;t see everything bout our selves...if people wont point um out to us...we will never know what faults we have in our selves! people need to start seeing each other as a lovingfamily memebers who are conserned ...like Sikh Suprem. i love people like you jio!!! i have always loved them, because it shows they are resposible and they see others as part o fthem selves...their own family. they dont see a difference between their sister/brother and others. they dont say...oh who cares she or he not my family! where as in oldern days and about 10-15 years ago people from same village etc would be scare of anyone elder..and wouldn not do wrong things. they knew what was wrong, and if they didnt and did somehting wrong out of ignorence they were beten up..didnt matter if they were boy or a girl! they knew what kind of character a human should/and can have...and they wanted their young ones to live a life of true beings...sachii suchii life/likfe of true and pure character....i think they were follwoing what guru shaib ji had told um. guru shaib has given us hukum to see each other as a family! sorry for such a long post... ardas in front of guru sahib sikhan da mun nivaan.... maut ucchi... bhul chuk muaff karni

well i agree with lots of you. Its true.... these things happen because most of these people(like me) were never introduced properly to the world around them (as u said educated about the world and sikhi or the values what ever you wana call it) is it their fault?...well if you look at it from a person who knwos that its his/her choice...and whatever they do reflects them...then ofcourse you would say it stehir fualt. but if you look at it from tehir perspective ...they hardly met any person or had company of people who we call a good sangat(prolly one but one is not that good unless that one is apowerful spirit) teh things they see around them/us, and the messages that are given are jus what they become! its both ways...as we know most of people like me think that life is about impressing people around us...and try to fit in. see whats popular and do it. its the javaani and trying to explore what life is! thats why schools were opened. they were help and teach human kind how to be civilized person and live a well life...also to teach a person: being resposible for tehir own actions. i learned things in a hard way. didnt hit the rock bottom but have seen things and thought about doing them. Thanks to waheguru...dont knwo what i have done in my life that Akal made me think. eventhought i did things but learned with his kirpa and stopped before it was too late. i know how things are. its not easy...nd we are just exposed to wrong information from the start! call it karam (past lives) or jus the environment/company around us! The songs are giving mixed messages! thats the only "bani" (words, not gurbani) that i and them hear and contemplate on thus we take those actions. these singers dont realize that inseatd of creating a pround punjabi culture they are ruining it...degrading it! its a shame! now tell me whos fault is it? :lol: (well those singers are punjabi and human beings as well...lol jus to let u think about them as not any different than other messed up punjabis) this is for both girls and guys .........continue

sceince is science...and you should never take it as a FACT!...because science is jus discovering new things and doing researcd and finding out truth/or way things work in this world. science discoveries etc change...they always have! you can even ask a proper scientistz..they will tell you that there is no such thing as a fact in science now these days!l! sciencist have said this because they realized that NEWTONZ LAWS and other things that they thought were fact... are proven wrong so they say that they can;t say that what they found or discoverd about something is a fact because we are stuil learning/finding more about everyting... and universe things dont always work the same! (we really dont know the truth about anything) thats about Science not Gurbani! about sleeping...you got weekend...sleep then. Your body will tell you when it really needs much sleep! kaur: well i know im princess, but i dont tell anyone because i feel that if i tell the other person that my last name is princess it kinda sounds corny or might give a bad impression to the other person about me. the person might think that im trying to say that im rich(eventhough im not and jus being egoistic....also they might think im delusional/or have psychological proble...lol) im am so sad! :lol:
