  1. Sangat ji, any recommendations for Sikhi calendar of gurpurab, events, shaheedi purabs etc? (For 2022) ?? @S1nghJi calendar link on top left of this site not working. (Viewing on desktop)
  2. Will Sikhs ever have their own calendar or they will for ever be forced to follow the Hindu calendar?
  3. Which calendar is followed for observing the Sikh festivals as given on this website? Bikrami or Nanakshahi or some other?
  4. I'm having trouble knowing what this question has to do with the topic of Nihangs in 1984, so I just created a new topic for it. First of all, Bikrami is not much in use anymore, it's just either the Nanakshahi calendar published by the SGPC, or the so-called "original Nanakshahi" calendar favored by Ragi Darshan Singh. Anyways, regarding the 4 major events commemorated by Sikhs, Google reveals: 1) Guru Nanak ji's prakash. Celebrated by AKJ on Kattak Puranmashi, in accordance with Nanakshahi calendar. 2) Guru Gobind Singh ji's prakash. According to the Nanakshahi calendar, falls on Poh Sudi Saptmi. Celebrated on that day by AKJ: 3) Holla Mohalla. If you've ever attended Holla at Anandpur Sahib, you know that everbody (jathas, sants, Sukhmani Sahib Seva Societies, missionaries) celebrates on the day after Holi in accordance with Nanankshahi calendar. 4) Baisakhi. Celebrated by the entire panth on the same day. Additionally, this link states Dushera is celebrated annually in Delhi by the AKJ as a major smagam. Obviously that would be on whatever day the Hindus celebrate Dushera.
  5. Sat Sri Akaal I was wondering if anyone could link me to a calendar with sikh events on it, I've searched online but they don't seem to match up with certain events.
  6. What decision has been made BIKRAMI or Nanakshahi. Also what are your opinions. ?? BIKRAMI is the correct calender I believe, while the Nanakshahi crows seem to be dhunda and missionarya
  7. Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh SikhSangat Forum backs up the original calendar that all of our guru sahibs used and so did our countless gursikhs ex. Sant Jarnail Singh ji Bhinderanwale, Bhai Randhir Singh ji, Bhai veer Singh ji and so on. For the past 15 years, SikhSangat always believe in following Sri Akal Takht Sahib regardless of any situation. We request our members not to involve in any senseless calendar propaganda being promoted by few *NEW* individuals with catchy stage names. We are going to limit such discussions and promotions of such propaganda; except those who genuinely wants to learn about the calendar issue. Don't divert sangat's attention to faltu issues created to divide us, focus on main issues like of Bhai Gurbakash Singh Khalsa. Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh
