  1. Today I see many people mix Punjabi culture things with sikhi. Like I personally think that Bhangra, giddha and other things like this aren’t related to sikhi and aren’t allowed for Sikh to do. People need to understand that being Punjabi is different than being a Sikh. Do u guys think that Bhangra and giddha r forbidden in sikhi?? I wanna hear sum more people’s vichar in this

  3. Is there any difference between a taksali gutka and any other ones like budha dal gutkas? I used to use mysikhi app to do nitnem and read gurbani, but recently i downloaded the damdami taksal sunder gutka app.
  4. I tie a taksali dumala, but i am wondering what is the history behind it. Apparently the singhs in guru jis time used to wear nihang dumala and used used to wear chakars on them. When was the taksali dumala style made? who made it? is there a reason why taksalis wear this dumala?
  5. Why are Taksalis so against Nirvair Khalsa Jatha and Bhai Ranjit Singh? I don't follow any specific jathebandi or sampardas so I don't listen to parchar/kirtan with preconceived judgements based on the allegiance of a group. Based on the katha/vichaar I've heard from these guys, I never really saw anything wrong with what they were saying. In fact, they've spoken on issues that are currently hurting the sikh community like saint worship/derawaad, caste system, some sikh 'clergy' being no different than ancient religious elites, gurdwaras running as a business and etc. So what's the big deal strictly with their vichaar. I know there has been allegations on NKJ in the past but if that was the issue the people are protesting about right now, it would've happened a long time ago (which it did for a little bit I believe). So what's the deal right now?
  6. I have a pretty long taksali sri sahib. It looks very nice, but the problem is that the handle part at the end where you hold it from has many scratches and slowly it is becoming kinda dark and stuff. Is it okay if I add a sort of leather grip on the handle to protect from damage? Will it cause any problems with the iron? Does anyone with knowledge in this kinda stuff tell me how to add one myself? If that is not possible, then does anyone know of a way to remove the scratches and give it a brand new look? My kirpan looks exactly like this: https://www.facebook.com/Lsnaagi/photos/a.639552042834228.1073741842.238662012923235/688275261295239/?type=1&theater Please give me other tips on kirpan maintenance too
  7. I was wondering where one can get the best santheya for SGGS and Dasam Granth Sahib? I know how to do a lot of bani already but I wish I could do it with best pronunciation (taksali). is there any advice that anyone has?

  9. Waheguru Here is a Taksali Gutka of Damdami Taksal which Purtan Singhs used. Baba Mohan Singh Bindranwale expliens Shudh Ucharan on hard words. Baba Ji at the end of the Gutka comments on how Chaupai Sahib was cut short and who did it and Baba Gurbachan Singh's thought on it too. The end part of the Gutka is worth reading it also expliens which doras were cut out and Baba Ji shows from Purtan Granths that these doras were in the Nitnem.
