A call for help, an appeal by Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) to all well wishers of the Sikh’s and philanthropists for the forthcoming Panjab Assembly Elections scheduled for 30th January 2012.

Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) has filed the nomination papers of 91 candidates of the party for the Panjab Assembly Elections scheduled to be held on 30th January 2012. There are 117 seats in the Panjab Assembly to which these elections will be held in another two and a half weeks time. It is very encouraging that our party could field as many as 91 candidates for these elections. It speaks of the high morale of the party that we have such a large number of candidates which match the number of candidates that Badal Dal has put up, despite the fact that our party men have faced the brutal repression of the Hindu state in our fight for the redress of Sikh demands and grievances, the main being the perpetration of the crime of genocide.

The reason for such a large number of candidates now contesting the elections is that our party has consistently advocated that the Sikh nation cannot survive unless we have a state of our own. Our party besides this demand of a separate nationhood will also bring out the characteristics of the humiliations heaped on the Sikh’s since 1947 when THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State) and Islamic Pakistan came into being. The Sikh’s were the third party to the Round Table Conference which was to decide the cartography of India after the British handed over power and left their biggest colony. However, it may seem strange to the reader that the Muslim’s and Hindu’s coalesced to an agreement to divide the spoils of British India between themselves and though the British should have been fair referees to the division, they left the Sikh’s high and dry.

They did not even prevent the ruthless slaughter of the Sikh’s who were forced out and became victims of the biggest ethnic cleansing known to history when they were made to leave their homes and hearths in West Panjab and migrate to East Panjab which became a part of THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State). Ever since then the Sikh’s have lived in subjugation of the Hindu state which denies us the rule of law and a secular state. Therefore, our party is contesting these elections on the issue of the Sikh identity and the future of the Sikh’s in the sub-continent.

The Akali Dal Badal, Congress Party, BJP-RSS and People’s Party of Panjab under S. Manpreet Singh Badal which has fielded its candidates with the alliance of the CPI, CPM and the BSP- these are all Hindutva parties that dare not stand for the Sikh identity, cause and the punishment to the genocidiares of the Sikh’s or the return of Sikh treasures looted from the Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple) Sikh Reference Library and its Toshakhana or treasury in Operation Bluestar of 1984.

These very parties are also not willing to take up issues of the Panjab, specially the waters issue which as per the riparian law and Article 246 of THIS’s (Theocratic Hindu Indian State’s) constitution cannot forcibly be taken into Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi which are not riparian states. The other question is of the head works of the dams Bhakra and Pong, which have been kept outside the Panjab for malicious reasons that the Panjab may not be able to govern its waters or generate electricity which are all state subjects in the THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State) constitution.

Then these very parties which have sold their honour to Hindutva are also not ready to mention in their respective elections manifestos that the Panjabi speaking areas in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Haryana, Rajasthan and UT Chandigarh should be amalgamated with the Panjab which were unjustly kept out during the communal and unjustified division of the Panjab in 1966 by the Congress government headed by Indira Gandhi.

The other problem that we have in the Panjab is a huge amount of the unemployed youth which today counts up to 43 lakhs. How these parties which owe their loyalty to Hindutva are going to address this problem, only God knows but not the BJP-RSS, the Congress Party, Akali Dal Badal, Manpreet’s People’s Party of Panjab in coalition with the CPI, CPM or the Bahujan Samaj Party. Our party the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that our party can address this problem partially by banning all labour from UP, Behar, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa and West Bengal from taking employment in the Panjab. We plan that our non-employed Panjabis be employed by industry, the farm sector, road building and other projects taken up by the government. If there is a shortage of Panjabi labour then only would our party allow labour from other states to take the jobs in the Panjab provided they have a permit from the state government.

The Hindutva parties mentioned above dare not take such remedial measures for fear that they contest elections in the states from where Panjab gets its cheap labour. This step is not discriminatory in any manner because European countries too forbid foreign labour unless their country’s labour gets employment on priority. Great Britain has done just this recently by issuing visas to Asians on a very limited basis and they have special units to check illegal labour which is deported immediately on being discovered. So we can’t say that our party proposes any racial discrimination.

The Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) also feels that the Sikh peoples live in one of the most dangerous spots on earth. Rajasthan, Panjab, Haryana, Jammu Kashmir, UT Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh compose the Sikh territories but they are surrounded by inimical nuclear powers, Islamic Pakistan to our West, THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State) to our East and Communist China to our North. Since all these states are armed to the teeth with vicious nuclear weapons and Islamic Pakistan and THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State) have developed their nuclear military might by not signing the NPT and historically they have been daggers drawn, in the event of a nuclear war the Sikh territories would invariably become the next nuclear battlefield in the event of which the Sikh race would be totally annihilated.

The Sikh’s have nothing to do with the historic enmity between Islamic Pakistan, Communist China and THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State). Therefore, where is the reason that the Sikh territories become the next nuclear theatre of war? Therefore, the Sikh’s want international guarantees in the first place that their territories will not be used as a battlefield between these three historic enemies and thus we want that the UN and the Western Democracies ensure that the Sikh territories are created into a No Fly Zone for military aircraft and missiles of all countries. This is the least that our party demands so that the Sikh’s can live in peace.

Our party has always demanded besides the No Fly Zone that the Sikh territories become independent and sovereign under a Sikh state, peacefully and democratically. Such a buffer state between the three nuclear powers Islamic Pakistan, Communist China and THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State) would not only ensure the safety of the Sikh race but also guarantee eternal and perennial peace in South Asia, which seems to be in turmoil with the tensions in Persian Gulf, hawkish Israeli policies, nuclear weapons development in Iran, political instability in next door Islamic Pakistan, war in Afghanistan and the rising right wing Hindu nationalism, which is a threat to the Sikh’s and Muslim’s in THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State).

The Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) also wants to see the borders with Islamic Pakistan and Communist China opened up for trade, commerce, tourism and religious visits of the Sikh’s to the former where half our religious shrines lie, half our language, culture and history, art and architecture also rest in this country from which the Sikh’s were uprooted by Hindu leaders Gandhi, Nehru and Patel and the Muslim leadership of Mohammad Ali Jinnah with the acquiesce of the British Labour Party headed by Attlee.

If the Berlin Wall does not exist any longer what is the rational of THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State) putting up a 540 km long barbed wire fencing on the Panjab – Pakistan border? Despite it and its guarding around the clock by the para military BSF, reinforced by heavy deployment of the Army, the vigilance of the Union government by its intelligence agencies–RAW and IB, Panjab’s CID, Panjab Police and over-head patrols by the Air Force and above it satellite surveillance, heavy amounts of heroin, smack, opium and other contrabands are made to slip from Islamic Pakistan and Afghanistan through this barbed wire fencing and the para military and military patrols. Why? Because the Hindu state has all along been introducing the Sikh’s to these dangerous intoxicating drugs so that they never ask for their rights and by will accept alien Hindu rule. It is similar to what the British government did in the 19th century by shipping ship loads of opium by the East India Company to China so that the Chinese were kept under a stupor and didn’t ask for their rights, accepting the rule of Western imperialists.

These are the important factors why our party has chosen to contest the forthcoming election to the Panjab Assembly on 30th January 2012. We have put up 91 candidates and I have just filed my nominations papers from the Fatehgarh Sahib constituency. My party and I appeal to all Sikh’s, Human Rights organizations and philanthropists to help us in every way to breast the tape in this difficult race to the Panjab Assembly where we can focus the plight of the suppressed Sikh’s before humanity and the world.

In the end I quote Napoleon Bonaparte who said –“A great people may be killed but they can never be intimidated.”
