Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh I had a question about what one should do (after they brush their Kesh) with the dead hairs that are cleaned out with the kanga... I used know a lot of taksali Singh's who said it was necessary to collect them up, the eventually do sanskar by burning them (trying to maintain as much satkar as possible), but now from my current understanding I'm starting to feel ritualistic about this. Loving Our Enemies

Topic title says it all. I know as Gursikhs were not supposed to have enemies, but how do you build for ppl who dnt seem genuine and don't have your best interest at heart? Yes the most obvious thing would be to avoid them but it is possible when they are family members. I wouldn't describe these few ppl as enemies, that's puttin it harshly, i don't envy them. Tried being normal with them, kind to them, treat them with respect.... I cant help but feel this fake aura around them. Can't avoid them plus shouldn't have to. Do I just toughen up an accept them for who they are on get on with it an nt think too much abt it? Tried that bt doesn't work for long, can…

Waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fatteh, Someone asked me why do you have to cover your head in guru ji's darbar. He said he can understand why singh's cover their kesh but why do mona have to cover their hair? He then said why don't singh's cover their beards? Are there any psychologists on here? I am going to graduate this year and want to know if there are gursikh psychologists that i can confer with? I know it is a white based area (don't mean to be racist). My tutor told me himself (he's white). He said there are not many ethnic minority people around in psychology and that they are looking for more psychologists from different ethnic backgrounds. please help!

Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fathe! Saadh sangat ji i was wondering it anyone could inform me about the 5 shastr rehat. Some questions i was wondering were, What does the rehat mean and what is it for? How will it help my sikhi? Are they a particular type of shastr? Were should these shastrs be kept? With Guru Sahibs kirpa can anyone keep this rehat? Also i have herd that it is suppost to be kept gupt, so if anyone has any of this information please let me know. VJKK VJKF Sangat ji I am looking for someone to teach tabla. I am in north east of england, but I am willing to travel once a week or fortnight to take a lesson from a tabla ustaad. Even if someone can teach me basic taals, enough to play with kirtan at home with my family. I don't intend to become some famous raagi, just have an inner thirst to learn tabla.If there is anyone? I will pay for the seva, please help! The gianis at the gurdwara won't teach, due to being 'too' busy and maybe other motives, I've been waiting 5 years for the tabla giani to teach, so i need someone who is willing to help me.

sangat ji ! I need your help please :D So im taking amrit next week and im fully prepared EXCEPT ive always wanted to tie a dastaar. Its like my all time dream. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -

Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
