So I have this really long list of questions that I need an answer for 1. *DELETED* 2. Details on the battle of chamkaur Sahib apart from the Zafarnamah. How did they fight, what strategy did guru Gobind Singh ji Device? (I need a realistic view on this, this is easily the most underrated single example of the greatest last stands ever) 3. *DELETED* 4. Historical accounts of Mata Sahib kaur ji and mata Sundri ji after the jyoti jot of maharaj? What about all the singh’s and Kaurs that stayed with them? 5. Historical account of the existence of Damdami Taksal. 6. Historical account of guru Gobind Singh jis visit to naino Devi. 7. Any acc…

Jhoot from a non Sikh
by Guest Gupt- 1 reply

I’m an Amritdhari. Some of my best friends are non-Sikh and white. We socialise a lot in bars and restaurants. We share our food and we are more than happy to eat from the same plate. It doesn’t bother me at all and it doesn’t bother them either. One day an Amritdhari guy randomly approached me at a restaurant when I was with my friends and said that he saw that my non Sikh white friend was eating from the same plate as me and this was jhoot. He said I shouldn’t be doing this as it will cause me to have evil thoughts and change the way I act spiritually. I understood partly where he was coming from, buy by me eating from the same plate as my best friends who …

I am an entry level data analytics professional and I would like to freely offer my time and skills to the first individual/ organisation that reaches out on the forum. Being a volunteer is on my bucket list and I would like to give back to the community. Data analytics is a broad field involving the use of data and tools to solve/ answer business problems/questions. PS I tried to sign up, with two different email addresses but encountered " You are not allowed to use that email address on this site" on both occasions.

Sat sri akal I married to my husband in 2013. Everything was good. The moment I entered their house their behaviour changed. My father in law isn’t a good person considering character. My husband went abroad I went to live with my parents. Then I too went abroad. We struggled there for 4 and a half year but couldn’t get PR. I have 2 daughters and had to come back. My morther in law told my husband everything belongs to brother in law only so we somehow manage to stay abroad. But we returned there was no option left. Now I am being abused verbally at hands of parents in laws and brother in law.I stood by my husband in tough times of immense struggle. Now he is mamas…

by Guest Singh- 0 replies

I am on a business trip in Europe and will be visiting one of the car manufacturer's plant in Germany. As per the safety guidelines I will be required to wear a safety helmet. I know that there is a law in UK which exempts Sikhs from wearing a safety helmet. Is there any similar law which provides this exemption in Germany or I have to wear one?

George Price

I was just wondering what the Sikh perspective was about what happened to George Price. Short story is, he proved that we all are one and that Sewa is in your own best interest, had a religious experience and then killed himself. What went wrong with his journey though the five Khands? http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/healthy-living/george-price-the-altruistic-man-who-died-trying-to-prove-selflessness-doesn-t-exist-a7237866.html

In India there are: 400 million so-called untouchables + 600 million so-called backward castes So given that there are ONE BILLION people who could benefit from Sikhi just inside India then ... ... why are Sikhs raising thousands for Arabs in Syria or Bangladeshi's calling themselves Rohingya?
