  1. ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫ਼ਤਹਿ Bhai Bidhi Chand Ji was a Sikh of Dhan Sri Guru HarGobind Sahib ji and Guru Sahib said I will give you three things you ask for. Bhai Bidhi Chand ji thought, great, 3 of whatever I want. He asked Maharaj for Naam Da Rang, the love of the naam and connection to Waheguru, Sadhuan Da Sang, the company of the holy and Nischa Abhan, Unbroken faith in Guru Sahib. We should be asking for these three blessings too from Maharaaj. ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫ਼ਤਹਿ

  3. I learned something interesting about this in religion at my Catholic highschool (I'm a sikh btw,not to be confused). So if I'm not mistaken,Christians believe that god will bring the kingdom of heaven down to earth, when Jesus is to return for the second coming, right?Well it's interesting because sikhi has a similar idea of khalsa raj, where we believe that the khalsa or the "pure" will rule the world after eliminating all tyrants and evil in the world.I always wonder how all religions and people will coexist when the time finally comes. However,to clarify our gurus won't "come back" per say, because they're already here in physical form and have been in physical form since 1469,the birth of our first guru. Our current guru, the guru granth sahib is eternal and a living embodiment of our 10 gurus. It's not really a holy scripture, but actually our living leader/guide in these dark times of ignorance and illusion. We don't accept that evil rules this world, but rather in this age of kaljjug, the forces of evil have a much stronger influence than other ages,in fact the strongest of them all.I think god has kind of taken a step back where he's letting all sorts of heavy sins run rampant without smiting the sinner on the spot, but the door to god remains open for those who seek it.Note-for us,god is omniscient and omnipresent,so it's not that God is separate from the sinner, but rather the sinner is unaware of his true self.So in this crazy world where everyone sins,a very few become one with god through intense devotion, and it is these self realized people in the form of god who ultimately rule the world in the background, not evil.God has the power to instantly merge everyone within himself and clean the world, but it's their play and they can do whatever. It's not really for us to understand why god doesn't simply merge us back with himself and end all suffering everywhere right now,nor is it our job to worry about how or when that will happen. It's hard enough as is to be free of evil and sin even with the company of others who hope to walk this path on forums like these ,so we should instead focus on walking on our paths. Another thing I thought about, imagine the happiness in the world where finally for christains after thousands of years of waiting and for us,hundreds of years of brutal torture and war,the day when this will finally happen.

  4. Yes. Obviously. That is, ideally. That's the entire reason the man is in front. The woman holds on to his palla, not the other way around. Grabbing a hold of someone's palla means that you attach yourself to him and he is responsible for you. Following behind him signifies that you see his as who you follow.

  5. It’s all about what you believe in and what works for you. I can honestly tell you to Sikhs this all sounds a sales pitch to scare people in there is only one way to GOD. It’s to create fear and guilt in people rather than enshrine Unconditional Love which is the true nature of GOD. Sikh Guru we’re here to level out the plain not to show how special they were but how special we all are. And ways to empower all to experience the true nature of GOD in themselves, Since there is only one of us. Unfortunately history is the proof of evil acts done in the name of LORD. Crusaders , Holocost while pope sat quiet and be as silent witness Etc......The current president of USA in office with Christian vote is the biggest joke in present day history. His Christian values we are all aware of...

  6. When we die, if we were and an evil person and committed sins and followed the 5 evils of Lust, Anger, Greed, Attachement and Ego/Pride we get sent to hell to receive a punishment. There are levels of hell, so the murderers etc. Will have the worst punishment. Waheguru knows how long they will be punished. But God is very compassionate and even forgives the sinners, so he allows them to come back into the cycle of reincarnation. (Only humans can get liberations by the way) If we were an okay person, we may have to come back, not through all of the life cycle, but come back as a human. But if we were Dharmi (religious) and followed the path of our Gurus, staying true to your religion, fighting the battle against sin, doing good deeds serving others, serving God, experiencing God and repenting for our mistakes, we will get mukti (liberation). There are different levels of heaven and heavenly realms and the our soul will continue to live forever if we get to a certain state called Karam Khand or further into the ultimate heavenly realm called Sach Khand (the realm of truth). There's so much to talk about so I gave a very, very brief summary.

  7. Being spiritual doesn't mean we have to be glum. Enjoy life, be happy , look at the wonderous nature around you. Make a cake, get your close family around you, recite the names of the Gurus and Shahids and cut the cake. Celebrate the fact that you have been given a human life. Celebrate the fact that you are born in a Sikh family. Celebrate the fact that you are following the path of your Guru. Celebrate the fact that your father is Guru Gobind Singh Ji, your mother is Mata Sahib Kaur Ji and you are from Anandpur Sahib. Why wouldn't you celebrate your birthday ?
