  1. In a logic way it's true that every b'day is getting u closer to death .. But that's thinking goes kinda -ve , depressing style.. There is no fear in sikhi.. celebrate the b'day till one reach the age of 18th.... i don't do fancy stuff on my b'day, just a lil snack.. So i guess it's for children cauz they all are excited and stuff but still it won't hurt if adults or budday do celebrate it.. we should Thanks guru sahib on that day for giving us human janam and soo on.. At least ppls remember and thanks waheguru sahib on this day B)
  2. I sooo agree with phanjee and ms veerjeee.. Politics is the only solution for these type of problems.. after all it's not indian government where u can't get justice done.. If politics fail, then why not join and support Conservative Party like BNP who takes strong stand against these fanatics ppls..

  5. Keep Strong faith in Guru Granth sahib and our ten gurus.. that's what i agree So veerjee.. as of baba thakur singh jee said that Sant jee is alive.. So in ur views.. You believe that Sant jee is alive in human form and living somewhere else, while sant jee knowing all about peeps like kala afghana exists and cold murder of death to 250,000 sikh youths after 84' (including delhi holocaust) ? I do respect baba thakur singh and all other leaders.. but sometime u can't agree with everything of what they say.. human is human after all and he/she can make mistake.. (that inculdes baba jee) Bhul Chak Kee maaf
  6. Gurfateh veerjee.. I think this is just a rumor jeee.. Now can anyone tell me.. "Would sant jee sit in one place while knowing/watching 50% of sikh youth in punjabi getting addicted to drugs and Monneeey style? No.. sant jarnail singh wasn't that type of person.. Bhull chak kee maaf
  7. I don't have great knowledge on this topic.. but still i wanna share what i think.. There is a huge difference between Puratan Nihangs and Nihangs after 19th century... There was a news article in News section mentioning of their campaign of Anti-Drug etc.. So True nihangs follows what our guru sahibs said.. they don't don't follow what arya samaj tell them etc... bhull chaak kee maaf

  10. Wish you all good luck bruv.. Have a great B'day partaaaayyyyy
  11. On Aug. 27 at 5:51 a.m. ET (1051 GMT) Mars was less than 34.65 million miles (55.76 million kilometers) away -- closer than it’s been in 59,619 years. The show continues as Mars remains bright through September. Not since the Neanderthals shared this planet with early humans have the two worlds been so close. Earth VS. 16. It's the problem within the country boundaries.. but at the end they will say.. "It's all pakistan doing this".. Instead of blaming others, why don't they try to make themselve correct.. Like after 9/11 US flipped immigration stuff upside down.. These indin guys will saying all stuff for their benefit and poor innocent ppls suffer.. it's all cauz they fail to control their country...

  20. To: California Sikh Community As you are well aware, a recall election has been announced in the state of California. While we are not taking any official position on the merits of the recall election, should it proceed as planned, we are urging you to strongly support and vote for Lt. governor Cruz Bustamante. After the tragic events of September 11th, Sikhs were mistakenly targeted. This discrimination and prejudice continues to this day. When California Sikh Council was formed soon after that, our main objective was to create awareness about Sikhs and to empower our community. We extended our hand of friendship to community leaders, law enforcement personnel, religious leaders and lawmakers. One individual stood out – Lt. Governor Cruz Bustamante, who has shown unwavering support from the beginning and has proved to be a great friend of the Sikh community. He has demonstrated an exceptionally tolerant outlook and a strong willingness to support Sikhs in their struggle for justice. § Lt. Governor visited the Fremont gurdwara and the Sikh Center of Orange County soon after September 11th and addressed the congregations. § He passed an official California state resolution recognizing the celebration of Baisakhi to honor "the many contributions of our Sikh community." § He was instrumental in the distribution of a coloring and activity book entitled, "The Boy with Long Hair," to schools across the state. The book explains in an age-appropriate way why boys and men from the Sikh community wear turbans and refrain from cutting their hair. Public school tea chers throughout the state will use the book to teach students about cultural diversity, acceptance and understanding. § He wrote a strongly worded letter to Eidos Interactive, publisher of the popular video game, Hitman 2, objecting to the negative depiction of Harminder Sahib. The Lt. Governor has made further commitments to deliver on these specific promises: § To actively recruit Sikh college students in internship programs in the State Government. This will increase our visibility and influence, and benefit the entire community. § To provide historic building status to the Gurdwara in the city of Stockton. § To create an official "Sikh Awareness Day" in the state of California. The list goes on. This is a great opportunity for Sikhs to have a close friend of theirs heading the highest office in the state of California. Let us not miss this opportunity. Please take a personal interest in spreading this word to your friends. We will be contacting you in the near future with more details on what you can do to support this effort. Thanks --- FWD by Bicky Singh...

  23. Just two day ago.. an old friend of mine was talking about my turban topic.. (he doesn't know anything about sikhi).. He asked me.. Why i wear turban? my answer was cauz to respect my hair (keep it tidy etc..) then he goes like.. U can't shave anything (beard etc..) i said it's god given gift to human and we have to respect it cauz god never put hair for a reason.. and then he goes.. what about girls in ur religion... I said.. yeah some of em don't shave anything.. and then he goes.. "Really.. don't u find that Gross"... i was like.. hey if they don't find my huge beard gross, then why would i find their tiny lil hair on their legs/arms gross.. .. he agreed with me at the end.. lol.. Respect to all bibian who keep the rehit of not waxing, saying no to trim eyebrows etc... I, for one really admire em.. and that will be the first thing i will see for in my future singhneee..
