Waheguroo Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguroo Ji Ki Fateh! i have a question about high school.... for those of you that are/were amrit dharri when you go/went to high school .... When people ask(ed) you about your gathra.. like if they saw it.. like in the changing room when your changing for PE or just when ever.. what did u say it was... without showing your kirpan?.. .because we arent really supposed to wear kirpans to school and even if we are ... the school officials tell us not to show it to any one... so wat would you tell the person wat a gathra is?... would u just make up something... like...oh! it helps me remember god.. or something ... or would you just change the subject and walk away trying not to answer the question (thats wat i did) ... im just curious about wat you would tell the people at your school (the gorrai). i have asked many people around where i live.. and they really had no clue.. they kind of just said what i have for examples.. thats where i got the examples from.. some one said to just say.. it helps me remember god.. but then its like.. how does it help you remember god.. and then we have like no proper answer and we just have to make up stuff??? well.. i hope you give your input... and if any one has questions that they wanna know about high school .. they should ask... cause im interested in what questions people would ask.. and how you would or others would respond to the questions... maybe no one is really seeing this post section... i think it would be very inspirational for more people to most there stories.. i dont really have a story yet.. im still young.. and i need to finish playing the lead role in my story.... so thats why im not posting a story... but everyone else.. we need to get their attention....

i hear so many people have their groups at school and they go around and speak punjabi and are proud of it... and im sitting there thinking... if i could speak it ... i would also be doing that too.... its hard for some one born and raised in america..... havent really gone to india either... (only once.. when i was a baby.. so that doesnt count... cause i dont remember anything)

i heard that story... but every time i hear it... its encouraging... it makes u want to make other people happy... and reminds people to have a good heart.... it reminds me of that one quote..... NEVER FROWN.... because you never know who is falling in love with your smile!! :wub: okay.. well.. i just thought i would share that...

Waheguroo Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguroo Ji Ki Fateh! u should put as one of the options.... can read, write, and understand punjabi.... but cannot speak... i kno many people like that.. i am one too.. because u hear it all the time.. but we just reply back in english.. and no one really makes us reply back in punjabi... and i agree tho .. that at gurudwaras they dont really teach you how to speak punjabi tho either... they teach u to write and read.. and thats it.... well.. i just thought there should of been that option on the poll.. but thats just my say.. for the people who do know punjabi (read, write, understand, speak) fluently... you are very lucky and blessed... bhul chuk maaf Waheguroo Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguroo Ji Ki Fateh!
