the program was made as a ‘human interest’ piece and was ok i guess i just wish the bbc would be as enthusiastic about commissioning serious documentaries focusing on the issues as well as individual narrative… the prog was made to commemorate the 400th anniversary afterall... not quite sure where sonia deol and her choice of shoes and ringtones fit in there :wub:

i'm sure u can buy books on learning keertan which have shabads/keys to be played etc.. try DTF most important thing is to dedicate time..need to practice regularly :nihungsmile:

toronto, mcgill n ubc are the best unis... but i'm not sure it matters where u do the undergrad when you're applying for med school.. grades n references may be more important.. good luck tho

A couple of points - If I remember correctly, Bhai Manpreet Singh arranged to do Keertan at Darbar Sahib when he met Jathedar Vedanti a few weeks ago in Birmingham. Also, it is my understanding that not any and every jatha can do Keertan at Darbar Sahib; rather it is only those that can adhere to Darbar Sahib's Maryada, which includes doing Keertan without pothees and in the relevant raag. At least this was how it was done in past times.
