waheguru jee ka khalsa waheguru jee kee fateh!! how u doing penji?? i think im a bit late to reply to this thread lol.. but a penji showed me this thread and said it reminded her of me... :D i just wana say its wicked you have started covering your head and getting it to sikhi proud of ya! i havn't been brought up in to sikhi my parents are monai and they never taught me nothing about sikhi... but the thing is i got in to sikhi properly about a year ago... and mum and dad could not accept it as it was total difference in me.. but i think it was for the good that i changed :wub: i went to camp and came bk with a dastaar :doh: and my dad did not accept this at all he also told me to stop tying a dastaar and the mistake i did was liksten to him but it got me so down that parents couldn't accept me getting in to sikhi that i was gettin depressed and i put my foot down lol u knw what i mean hehe and i just told them straight how i feel and it made my dad upset when i told him and fromt that day he has accepted me.. and what i learnt was that going it to sikhi you have to be strong as anything and remember gurujee is ther by your side every step of the way... sorry this was a long post hehe i jus wanted to say if i got through it then deffinatly any1 can cos my parents did not accept it at all in the fist place but are ok with it now.. so penji be strong!! keep your faith in gurujee high!! :TH: serena kaur x waheguru jee ka khalsa waheguru jee kee fateh!!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! hey pajee.. ermm i don't know if this is good advice but i recently went to a camp and i saw a singh there who wore a banna but he always used to be doing paath :lol: and where he kept his gutka was in the pocket of his banna :T: i think if the gutka is covered and at a high place and is not put on the floor or in your bag on the floor and treated with respect then this should be ok aslong as it isn't near meat or sharab hunna :TH: please forgive me if i have offended anyone Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! ermm... i think im kinda very late to reply to this.. but oh well i will still share how going into sikhi changed me... well first of all my name is serena kaur :wub: and im 16, i wasn't brought up into sikhi as my parents are mone.. so i jus recently got into sikhi.. when i started khalsa college it was strange that i thought i never knew anything about my religion n yet i go to a sikh school.. untill i started hanging around with the right sangath and learnt loads from them which then made me research more about sikhi and from there my life changed i stop removing my hair.. stopped eating meat..started doing my path etc... i got out of all the bad things and started to do good things.. i started going to programmes well not very often but i try my best and sangath has helped me out alot.. i have found my true love..which is gurujee even though my family doesn't agree with me going into sikhi i still try and stay strong because compared to how i used to be i feel better and stronger and i have so much faith in gurujee so i guess sikhi has changed me alot its made me alot more confident and reading banee has educ ated me more and brang me closer to waheguru jee... i just hope people out there who aint in to sikhi can one day relize the beauty of it and try become a true gursikh which i am trying to be.. i proberly bored everyone to death so im gana stop writting now hehe... my point is sikhi is the best way of life and to reach saachkhand hope we all get there sorry if i have affended anyone in any way Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!
