Business is all about lying and cheating govt and consumers. But think it this way, you are not directly invloved in lying. You are only doing what you are told to do, you are obeying your employers orders who pays you. So, your loyalty is first towards your employer and then towards the consumer. You will come across an ancient bussiness law "let the buyer beware" . This is the first thing taught in bussiness schools. A seller is not bound to disclose any negative part about the thing he is selling, it is the buyers responsiblity to judge by his own merits. This is also the law of nature. You will not be cheating but following company policy , why should you feel guilty about it.

The govt. figures are never right. When i was in school, we often were given the task of visiting houses and filled forms for population calculation. I will give you an example; this is how we carried out our work. I studied in mohali (near Chandigarh) so will give example of that city. We first formed a group of about two hundered students, chosen by way of voluntary service by school management. Mohali is divided into sectors and we divided sectors among ourselves and further divided them into lanes for carrying out the survey. Then we would visit a few houses and go straight to some restaurant. There we would sit under A.C sipping colas and filled the rest of forms by way of calculating average of the houses vivted by us. You can well understand the correctness of these figures, which were used by govt. LOL By the way, it is well known that the population of Sikhs is never given out as to right figures by Govt. The surveyers are told that they must follow their own judgement while noting down sikhs. Any house where there is majority of 'monas' is taken as Hindu. According to me, if we take the figure by calculating those people who follow guru granth sahib or ten gurus, without looking into amritdhari thing, then the figures would be somewhere between 200 - 250 million.

Controversies are being created with only one object in mind, and that is to defame takht sri Hazoor Sahib. Every individual is money minded....so please let the celebrations pass amicably. This is a grand oppotunity to let the world know...that Sikhs are one 'quam' and Guruji gave gurgaddi to only sri Guru Granth Sahib. The celebrations would put Guru Granth Sahib on world map as the only Guru of Sikhs and sole successor of Guru Nanak Guru Gobind Singh. Sangat should donate as much money as they can.......if it is misused by some corrupt 'babas' dunno worry, satguru will make them pay for their sins. Also don't be arrogant in thinking that Hazoor Sahib needs money from Sikhs...it is satguru who gives money to Sikhs and not vice versa. Montek Singh Alhuwalia (finance secretary to govt of india) under Manmohan Singh (pm of india) has already approved a grant of 1100 crores for mega projects in nanded for tri-cenetary celebrations. Central govt has also approved Guru Gobind Singh marg starting from Damdama Sahib to Nanded, spanning the route by which Guruji went from Bathinda to Nanded.

When was the first time you thought you are a loser? If you take some time to think it over you will realise that the problem is a minor one, only to you it appears to be life threatning. Look around and you will find many people facing similar problems or far more complicated. Don't run from problems but meet them head on. Yeah right! Also there is lot of pressure on Akalis from all sides. When the potrait of baba jarnail singh was installed in museum, it was raising a lot of heat. You cannot deny that majority of (you know who) still HATE POORAN GURSIKHS in India. When the fiasco of that thug ram raheem happened, NOT A SINGLE MEDIA NEWS CHANNEL OR NEWSPAPER supported sikhs for the first few days. The guys from his deras were blasting guru sahib on all major channels. It was only after the salabatpura dera demolition that they adopted a saner attitude and when the activities such as rape and murders by dera got media attention. At the end of day, in India, vote bank plays supreme. We are paying the price because of our less numbers and straightforward attitude. But that is another matter and not the one related to this. So Singho, panth is in chardi kala. We need to stay united and as brothers, as guru sahib wanted us to be when he gave Gurgaddi to Guru Granth and Khalsa Panth.

U.P is known for quality of sugarcane. Even Punjab cannot match that quality. The gigantic plain all along Bihar is fertile but not as irrigation friendly as Punjab. No doubt India would survive without Punjab. But secession of punjab would lead to accute food price rise and agriculture would become a liabilty. Indian economy will be like a boat in a storm. India does not have oil, but is one of the largest consumers of energy. Even a small rise affects all factors of economy. If it were to lose punjab, the economy will become very unstable, as it has large population to feed. Punjab would no doubt would be able to survive economically, but it will never be a success state unless Khalistan has a coastline, efficient police force, educated and farsighted leaders, effective army , scientists, ability to manufacture modern armaments etc. Khalistan won't come by screaming on internet. Law and Order would be one of the biggest problems. At the end of the day, taliban like religious fanatics will rule and not common man. Also there would be population pressure. It would survive at any time for two generations, not more.

The argument here has gone around in circles without a clinching statement to prove any issue. I do not want to take any side. However if all the veerji's posting don't mind, i want to say something. Each and every historical moment in Sikhi is very well doccumented. Even the stories of janamSakhis, which are considered to be hagiographies can be corrobrated to many extents. However there is no mention of dasam Granth as a granth , in present form, before MALCOLM.
